Arai walked with a smile on her face. Her right hand was still clasped with Zaha's who kept turning to her with a smile.
"Hehe, Your Highness, you look so happy... I've never seen you smile that much," Arai said.
Zaha nodded. His cold, flat face had disappeared somewhere.
"Did something good happen?" asked Arai.
Zaha answered in a warm and low voice, sounding so soft and indulgent. "That's right. Something good happened."
Their steps echoed, carrying them through the hallways of Almandine Castle in the middle of the quiet and carefree night. Some people were still partying, and some had gone and rested.
They were almost in front of Arai's room, but for some reason, their pace slowed. They didn't want to part quickly.
However, slowing down their pace wouldn't be enough to delay time. The two stopped in front of the door and looked at each other.
