The state of the garden was the same as they left it after the eventful battle. Dry blood splattered on the cobbled pathways, over the trimmed plants and overgrown grasses, and broken plates, tables, tiles, and vases scattered everywhere.
The once picturesque greenhouse garden filled with different varieties of flowers and plants was now like a ghost garden inhabited by dark spirits and unseen creatures.
The dilapidated gazebo glowed and the familiar circle appeared on the floor. A flash of light blinded them and once it subsided, two figures standing in the middle of the circle were sighted.
They both wore dark cloaks with their hoods on.
Azer stepped forward and stated, "Let's end this quickly."
Dionne took off his hood and stepped out of the gazebo. She looked around, obviously looking for her alpha, and when she didn't spot him in the crowd, she glowered at the second prince and asked, "Where is he?"
