I leapt forward, my wolf-like body propelling me towards the beast. My claws swiped at its scales, but they merely scratched the surface. The beast retaliated with a swipe of its massive paw, sending me flying across the room.

I landed hard on the stone floor, but quickly sprang to my feet. My body was changing, adapting to this new form. I could feel my senses heightening, my strength increasing.

The beast charged at me, its jaws open wide. I dodged to the side, avoiding its deadly bite by mere inches. I countered with a bite of my own, sinking my teeth into the beast's shoulder.

The beast roared in pain, but didn't falter. It swung its tail at me, knocking me off balance. I stumbled back, giving the beast the opening it needed.

It pounced, pinning me to the ground. I struggled to free myself, but its grip was too strong. Just as all hope seemed lost, I remembered my newfound strength.
