Chapter 20

Mike looked at the letter and sighed. A week passed and Mike had his shower, put on his clothes, had breakfast, got in his Insignia car and drove to court. Mike gulped in fear as he drove. When he arrived, he slammed the door and walked up the steps and went inisde the court room. The judge asked Mike a few questions. Mike either said yes or no but for him it was hard to answer. When Zoe came, she looked better than ever. She looked like the beautiful girl she was before. She smiled a weak smile at Mike. Mike did the same to Zoe. They were very nervous. Then the judge asked something beautiful. "Would you like Mike to be your father again?". Zoe nodded her head and said "Yes!". The bond between the 23 year old and the young 10 year old who was no longer an orphan was back. Zoe's parents were deprived of their parentel rights and she, Mike, Mrs Oliver and the orphans took a picture with the judge. Heck! Mike's band memeber forgave him and their band returned and Zoe was even allowed to be lead singer. Mike and Zoe also adopted a pitbull puppy named Sparky who was the most lovable dog in the world. Mike, Zoe and Sparky lived happily ever after.
