Anya's Two Swords

Riverdale turned out to have its own training ground, right in the palace's backyard. Luckily there was a Palace guard who informed me. Otherwise, I might have had a hard time later on.

I brought the wooden spear that Robert bought for me. I purposely didn't use Lord Armine's spear because I didn't think I wanted to attract many people's attention. At first, I was lost because of the vastness of Riverdale, but after following my trail again, I was able to find a hallway that led directly to the backyard.

Like the training ground, there are several wooden dolls available in the place. It is bigger and taller, stronger and shinier. Compared to Eve's, the doll in front of me was more excellent and stronger right now.

It gave me a lot of enthusiasm, especially to take them down and see what my skill four looked like.

"Earth Rage!"

My wooden spear was immediately enveloped by the burning flames. Then, for some reason, these legs started to walk by themselves and invited me to jump high, so high that I could see outside the palace walls.

Suddenly both my hands seemed to be swinging the spear blade towards the ground when it landed. My guess is correct! The spear blade slams into the ground, creating a torrent of fire that shoots out from the ground, spreading a ten-meter radius around me.

"Amazing!" I praised, seeing the impact of the fourth skill I practiced.

Not only fire I guess, but wind also appeared right after the spear hit the ground. So you can see the wooden dolls, all standing firmly, now have to fall and get burned by the flames on the ground.

I raised my spear and saw that this log had to break. I thought maybe because of the power of my fourth skill. Although, after all, this spear is not comparable to the level I have. Somehow, I miss Allegiance.

I immediately took a step, approaching some wooden dolls I could still save to stand up. My feet touched the lava-burning fire, but somehow I didn't feel any heat or burning.

"Well, it looks like Lady Arya will be furious that her training ground is destroyed like this."

I turned around and saw a woman coming in in a leather uniform and a furry coat that she was wearing. Two swords were tucked away on the right and left of her waist and what surprised me was that she was an Adamas.

"Who are you?" I asked.

The woman stopped her steps just outside the circle of lava-burned ground. I started to walk towards her while carrying two halves of the cut-off spear, the blade in my left hand, and the handle of the spear in my right.

"My name is Anya, Anya Wilson. I'm a friend of Arya," explained the woman named Anya. Her posture is almost the same as mine; I guess she must be between 25 and 30 years old.

I nodded. She who is an Adamas must know that I am too, especially when I am holding a spear, even if it is broken.

One thing she might have thought, I'm a Paladin.

"From the city's main street all the way to Riverdale, I keep hearing news that is both strange and unique," replied Anya.

She started walking with her arms folded in front of her chest; whatever clothes she was wearing made her cleavage visible from her clothes. I tried to take my eyes off the two mounds of flesh.

"I heard that someone stole Armine's spear. Some said that the spear flew and chose that person," Anya continued.

I watched as I moved my body, following the woman's footsteps. In the end, she stopped right by the tree with her eyes back on me. I don't know what expression she really showed. Is she mad?

"Many versions. However, one thing that all the stories have in common is that the spear is not in the cathedral," Anya replied.

"Then why are you talking about this with me?" I asked, curious.

"For some reason, I saw you walking with David. You're clearly holding Armine's spear tightly!" snapped Anya. Her hands started crossing, grabbing the sword handles on both sides of her waist.

SLING!

Two swords were pulled out of their sheaths, pointing at me, who wasn't ready. Her eyebrows were bent with pointed edges, and her face was flushed with a firm look in her eyes. If I look closely, she's really so mad at me.

"How dare you steal that sacred thing!"

"I did not steal it. It just flew right in front of me," I explained firmly.

"Liar!"

Anya immediately kicked the half-scorched wooden doll at me. I dodged immediately but couldn't get past the second wooden doll she threw beside the first.

The wooden doll she threw was so strong that it caused me to be thrown quite far out of my safe area, inside the lava circle.

My body hit the wall and fell right on the pile of wooden dolls. My back hurt so bad, and so did my cheeks and stomach, which had been hit quite hard.

From a distance, I watched the circle of fire disappear and leave charred black grass behind. Anya was seen passing through it valiantly while holding two swords in her hand.

"I-I'm telling the truth, Miss Anya!"

"Give me back the spear, or you will die by my hands!" Anya groaned. She was getting closer.

I had no other choice but to run away from it. I lifted this body, limped at the start, and started running when I realized Anya was getting closer to me. I focus in this direction towards my room, grab Armine's spear and help me fight Anya.

"Where are you going?!" groaned Anya. Her loud voice was of particular concern to the maids at Riverdale.

I opened the door to my room. I took Armine's spear with a gold engraving pattern. When I was about to go out, I saw Anya was already in front of the room, breathing heavily.

"You won't be able to escape from me, you bastard!" the woman explained, threatening me.

"I told you I didn't steal it! It floated in front of me on its own."

"Liar! I do not believe you."

I'm trapped! The only way out was the window behind me, guarded by a reasonably strong iron railing. I would do anything to get out of the clutches of that horrible woman in front of me.

"I'm sorry. I'm innocent. So, I won't give myself to you!" I took a step back and prepared my heart to chant the name of my second skill, "Spinning Dragon!"

Just as I expected, the window shattered along with the iron bars that bound it. Now, a way out is clear for me instead of fighting Anya in this room.

I decided to jump out and float in the air. I saw below me a palace garden which was quite beautiful. I had to use my fourth skill, so my landing was not so painful.

"Earth Rage!"

Flames started to appear on Armine's spear that I was holding. It immediately hit the ground, causing a vast wind and blazing fire to surround me.

Instantly the garden shattered from the sheer force of Armine's spear against the ground, probably because I swung it so high from Riverdale's third floor.

Really tiring!

I lay limp on the ground. My legs and arms hurt so badly I couldn't move. I noticed Anya was starting to leave my room, definitely headed towards the garden I had destroyed.

I turned my face away, staring at Armine's spear that wasn't broken. As expected, my fourth skill required high-quality weapons.

My body tried to quickly sit on the ground fire, at least showing Anya that I was okay. Sure enough! The woman came up to me with her eyes wide.

"It's enough! Look at the damage you've caused," groaned Anya, pointing at me roughly using the sword in her right hand.

"You started this mischief. Why should I be held responsible?" I asked briefly.

"Just wait for it. I can't wait to see Lady Arya's wrath seeing her beloved garden being destroyed by a thief like you!" threatened Anya. I rolled my eyes.

Damn!
