Transmigration

"....Baghdad became a center of science, culture, philosophy and invention in what became known as the Golden Age of Islam..", in the classroom the teacher was explaining the history of one of the greatest islamic dynasties.

Harun was 'listening' attentively from below, with his eyes closed.

He was a senior in his third year of highschool, There was less than three months until the college entrance exam, he was very familiar with the abbasid's piece of history.

"The Mamluks ran the government and the armies, while the Abbasids had authority over the Islam religion. Together they ruled the Caliphate from Cairo until 1517 when they were conquered by the Ottoman Empire. The sacking of Baghdad in 1258 is considered to be the end of the Islamic Caliphate by many historians.", the teacher continued explaining the rise and fall of the Empire.

Harun sighed. He had always thought that the faster an Empire rises, the faster it falls. The fall of a glorious civilization.

As he kept 'listening' and yawning, he felt a sharp pain in his body and his vision started to blurry for a few moments before darkness took hold.

A crispy sound echoed, Harun opened his eyes, he was confused of what had happened to him, but he mostly thought that he had fallen asleep.

Harun knew that his strict teacher must have discovered him sleeping in the classroom, he hurriedly sat up but the sleepiness in his heart did not fade.

His eyes looked forward, but in just a moment, all the sleepiness had been completely swept away, and replacing it was a face of atonishment.

"For the abbasid! kill the enemies!!"

"The Caliph is watching us! there is nothing to fear!"

"It is better to die for the Caliph than to live for yourself!"

The shouts of soldiers echoed everywhere as they charged forward resolutely toward to what seemed like a boundless army.

Countless corpses laid everywhere , forming mountains and filling oceans. The fresh blood that flowed from them converged to form a crimson river.

"Hey! what are you doing standing there motionlessly!...", a soldier stood in front of Harun and shouted sternly, with a face full of righteousness, but these were all nothing, Harun was only blankly staring at the armor he was wearing , the sword in his hand and to what also seemed like a battlefield.

Harun never thought that not only he was witnessing an ancient war, but he was personally participating in it.

The shock lasted for a few minutes, then a wave of memories suddenly flooded in his mind, he was puzzled for a moment, before his face turned bitter.

'I came to an alternate world?', Harun found it hard to believe what had happened to him. but it seemed like his carefree life has come to and end.
