Chp-41 First Step Completed.

I was now inside a room, where in the middle of it was a long table set with chairs on the opposite side and another set on the side.

Me and Volen's emissaries sat opposite to each other. On my side was Adrigal as well as Medusa while Volen had the Council members of their Council.

And middle of us sat king George and his two children beside him with Gowlard standing in the back, they acted as a mediator as. And since this was their territory, for now, they had the rights.

"Then, let us begin." George began.

"We have gathered here, to discuss the fate of Volen as well as the compensation they will provide to Gemmera as well as Orion."

"This is all a misunderstanding. Our army were simply doing military training and your kingdoms dared to declare this as an act of war." One of Volen's Councillor spoke.

"How thick skinned can you be to think that we would believe your baseless lies? It seems like you guys forgot that you were the ones to have declared war on us."

Prince Robert countered to the stupid allegations.

Honestly, its like they are so desperate that they are now trying to Gaslight us.

This back and forth went on for a few minutes as we remained silent. Well, Medusa and Adrigal were fuming but chose to remain quiet since I was not doing anything yet.

Finally, one of the councilors spoke something that made Adrigal angry.

"Besides, it was this Lady here who commands the dragons. This Bael is just a figure head for the true demon Lord."

*Phfft!?* What?! Hahaha, it seems they hit their head or something. Saying that I am just acting to be a demon Lord and in reality Adrigal is the real one?

[In their small brains this is the best explanation of how much strength Adrigal has as well as the number of dragons she commands.]

'I know, but they should know that I am called the Dragon OverLord for a reason right?'

[I cannot calculate the Null Brain IQ they have.]

'Makes sense.'

"What did you say you worm!?" A dark malice filled aura was leaked from Adrigal as she directed it towards the one who just spoke.

"Adrigal, calm down."

"But My Lord! How dare he insult you? He should pay the price." Adrigal said as she still glared at Him, but lowered her aura as per my command.

"It's fine, they will die soon."

This seems to calm her down completely as she sat down but still glaring at the Councilman, who was shaking till now.

It is safe to say, she didn't use her true aura else that guy might have died instantly.

Regardless, they will die soon so I don't care what their final words will be.

"Volen has tried to question my rule, my powers as well as my Title as a Demon Lord.

This cannot be justified with a simple mistake, therefore I propose, the whole of Volen will be under my rule from now on. Let it witness what my rule is like, since it has already seen my power."

"..A wise choice Lord Bael. I agree to this, Gemmera has no trouble with DemonLord Bael annexing Volen. " After a short contemplation, George spoke.

"But-!!" Another Councillor tried to speak up but he was interrupted by Medusa's glare.

"You insects have no say in what your future will be now. It was your own fault for targeting Lord Bael and now that you have lost, you worms still dare to oppose?"

Said Medusa with venom in her voice.

She clearly disliked these guys.

"Lord Bael...I would like to make a request from you..." George said.

"I am always ready to help King George, as I did before."

"I..would like to surrender Gemmera under Orion as a Province of the Kingdom." George said.

This statement seemed to create a wave on Gemmera's side. As if struck by a thunderbolt both the prince and princess turned to their father. Gowlard and Carlos who were standing behind him stubbled back a bit with the sudden news.

"But Father! Why?" Robert asked urgently.

"Gemmera has suffered unrepairable losses my children from this war. We have lost almost one fourth of our military and now has been left vulnerable to any attacks, even from bandits. And our economy will not be able to support our recovery."

George explained.

'I guess he learnt of the treasury incident before this meet.'

While I was away in space, Darkseid had been working hard. He stole the whole of The gold in the treasury as well as kill a lot of Minor nobles that were important for the kingdom to run but not that important to notice their absence.

I guess he is trying to hide these for as long as he can. He should most probably know that there is someone behind it. Maybe even know that it was me. But still he knows that he can't do anything.

"And I have seen how New Orion has been after Lord Bael took over. The residents are happier than the ones at the capital. There are no poor in the slums. Even he slumber area is now converted to comercial and residential areas for the previous poor with work in various areas."

Hearing all these a look of realisation set in the faces of The Guys.

They understood that George should have thought this for a very long time, It must have been hard for him to give up his throne but still, he cared for the kingdom so much that knowing that under my rule, Gemmera will prosper more than it ever did in his rule, he is willing to give it a gamble.

"Father..."

"I accept. Though Gemmera will be under my rule from now on. But we are running low on ministers, so I appoint you George as the Governor of the province of Gemmera. From now on, every one will be judged based on the contributions they made to the country. "

"Thank you Lord Bael." Standing up, George knelt before me first followed by his children and then Gowlard and Carlos and beside them the Volen's People knelt.

"Welcome, to my Kingdom. I assure you that your trust in me is not placed wrong. And Gemmera will truly be prosperous. This I declare!"

"LONG LIVE LORD BAEL! LONG LIVE ORION!" Chanted Medusa as everyone in the room followed suit.

Inside Deudenia.

My Guardians and I were gathered inside the throne room. After the negotiation, we formalized it and made it public.

There were a minor few nobles who tried to oppose the decision but it was instantly shut down by George. And now, Orion has Volen and Gemmera under it's rule.

"Guardians. From today onwards, I declare the establishment of the Dragon Empire, Orion. In my rule, everyone will have to contribute to the empire, with either their brains or brawns. Ones disobeying this Law will be punished accordingly. " I declared.

"LONG LIVE THE DRAGON EMPIRE! LONG LIVE LORD BAEL!!"

The guardians chanted loudly for a straight 2 minutes.

As they calmed down. I then gave them some tasks.

"Now that our first step has been completed. It is now time for us to prepare to engage our second step." I started as they intently listened.

"Isabelle and Shah el Ru. You both will be researching the ruins of the ancient dungeon in Volen. Shah el Ru, your task will be to mainly protect Isabelle from any harm. You are free to use your undead army."

"As You wish My Lord""Understood Lord Bael."

Volen was known for its advantages in Magic, particularly dark magics. After interrogating those Insects and from the books in the library that Darkseid's subordinates stole before Adrigal's attack, we found something interesting.

The interesting thing is that Volen has a ruin of an ancient magical kingdom from which they used the resources and knowledge to progress their magical research.

It is like a dungeon ruin, with 5 floors. They had been able to enter only till the third floor and it is found that the door into the fourth is sealed by powerful magic.

I believe that with Isabelle's reasearch abilities, she can easily open the doors. And if there is any danger then Shah el Ru can use his Unique Skill, Second chance to turn back time till the time when he set up as a safe spot, or as a spawn point.

This skill can be countered or negated by the opponent if they have time related Unique skills or higher.

"Next, Rhombus. Accelerate the plan Capitalism. Spread the factories all over Volen and Gemmera. To every City and Village."

"It will be done My Lord."

Now, you will be wondering, does Volen even have civillians after what Adrigal and her army did and the answer is yes they have. She attacked only the Cities that practiced Dark Magic. There were a few large cities and dozen villages to the far West.

They were originally Small kingdoms or princely states, which came under the Rule of Volen and had been subjugated.

Next up, Plan Capitalism is literally what it means. We will capitalise on the items and goods we sell on the market. I want to make sure that at least 80%of the market is on my hands. Well eventually it will be 100.

For now, the news is spreading every where of Orion's comercial items. Like magic lamps, heaters, coolers, cycle inspired magical scooties and more. All these run on either the user's magic or even in magicule crystal battery.

These batteries are simply called MCBs for short. This simple design change has made it possible for even non magic people to be able to use the items that before only Majins or mages could use.

Just this news has propelled its value in the market to new heights and merchants from all over the world are getting interested in investing in it. The only thing scaring them away is the fact that the ruler is a demon Lord.

For that, I think some act of heroism is needed. And I think I know how....

I could help the Hero, or Choronoa in subduing Veldora. Although I have yet to know how strong I am against fellow True Dragons but judging by my fight with Guy, it will be easy.

Regardless, I should test it out someday.

Now onto the throne room.

"Medusa, you will be tasked with administration work in Gemmera as well as handling Volen. Help George in that. "

"As You wish My Lord."

Medusa bowed as a small blush formed on her cheeks.

"As for the rest, stay in Deudenia and protect the castle. While Medusa is not available, Adrigal, you will be responsible for the administrative tasks of the Guild Castle."

"Understood Lord Bael." Bowed Adrigal.

"Now my Guardians. Release the news to all the denizens of Deudenia. That the name of Orion will be spread throughout the world. Our first step has begun and it will only stop when the whole world is in our hands!!"

"Yeahhh!" The whole room answered as Deudenia has begun to walk forward to become the ruler of the world.

I would like to inform you readers that I am just a novice at writing novels or fanfics. This story had been my first that has been going for this long. I had one a while back which I immediately dropped.

Anyways, this chapter was a bit rushed, my imagination juice is kinda running low so Maybe I will take some days off for a while.

Maybe the upload time will slow down, I will inform you guys if I do though.

Next is that, I was thinking of a half time skip.
