Chapter 88 - Aftermath 03

The conversation with Kobachi reminded me of the concert B-Komachi had at Tokyo Dome to mark the start of their farewell tour, which included Ai. Therefore, I thought of giving Ai an appropriate song to end her time as B-Komachi. The song that became the opening song in the anime Oshi no Ko also feels very appropriate for Ai and is also a song that is trending and popular not only in Japan but the world. 

I can also still clearly remember how Ai reacted when she saw the lyrics of the song I made. 

"Do you make this?"

"Un, I made this song thinking about you." 

"Is that so—" 

Until today, I could feel Ai's emotions a bit explode on that day. She rarely shows her true emotion after all, but I think that day she once in a while showed her emotion. After she read all the lyrics, she couldn't help the tears that flowed down her cheeks. I don't think she even realized that her tears were flowing like that. I could even see her body shaking when she tried to sing the song. That made me a little worried.

It strikes me as odd that idols in Japan usually quit when they turn thirty. However, I understand that they want to bring in young blood rather than old because, in the end, they follow the mass market. It's just that seeing Ai's amazing performance it's a shame that she has to retire after this farewell tour. Although, of course, he can still perform solo or similar. 

Not only that, Ai's good performance during the rehearsal made everyone in B-Komachi, as well as the members of Strawberry Pro who are associated with B-Komachi's farewell tour, work hard. It was as if they also wanted the world to see how incredible Ai looked. 

So it was no surprise when the first concert of the farewell tour, which took place at the Tokyo Dome, became the talk of the town after Ai performed. Many people who witnessed it live said that it was probably one of the best concerts they had witnessed live. Ai's solo performance with her new song 'Idol' was especially mesmerizing, and everyone agreed that it was the best performance Ai performed at the concert. 

Basically, the song 'Idol' is a good song, so it is not strange that coupled with Ai's charming appearance, the song is famous not only in Japan but throughout the world. Until then, the song entered Youtube and Spotify, the song entered the top chart for a long time. The footage of Ai singing 'Idol' was watched by many people. Even the Japanese media couldn't help but report on the success of the B-Komachi concert and praise Ai's performance. 

Although people know that Ai is the best idol of the group B-Komachi, her performance at this concert made her even more distant from her group mates. Not since that day have people known that Ai is once again an idol whose level is different from idols in Japan itself. People knew that this was B-Komachi's farewell tour, so many people commented that they were looking forward to the continuation of Ai's career after the disbanding of B-Komachi. 

I guess from all the performances Kobachi saw, and it's not strange that she became interested in becoming an idol like Ai after that concert. Because at the concert that day, Ai truly shone brighter than anything I had ever seen. It was also on that day that her starry eyes, which always radiated a dazzling beauty, shone and mesmerized everyone who saw her. 

"Are you sure that you will join with Ruby to make a new club?" I asked Kobachi once again, and she nodded her head. 

"Un, I think." 

Well, Kobachi looks pretty confident and very profitable to me. Since she stopped being a child pop star in manga and anime, I don't know how successful Kobachi will be in the future. But looking at her talent so far, I think she's still too good to pass up. I would especially feel safer if Ruby is in a group with people I already know well and close to her, too. Well, I don't know when Kobachi started to become distant from her peers. But it seemed like he would be fine as long as he was by Ruby's side. 

"Then, Onii-chan is joining us, so we just need to find two more people. I want to be in the same club as Onii-chan anyway—" Ruby said while hugging me from behind and rubbing her cheek against my cheek. 

"Ah, how about you two also join my new club? if you two join too— I don't have to search for any people." Ruby tossed the question to two more people in the group who happened to be in the same class as the three of us. Those are Ishigami, who is seen playing with his game console, and Ino, who is currently seen writing something on a note. 

"Hm, I think I will do what Aqua tries to do— Join an anime or manga club or literature club since it feels much easier," Ishigami answered that. Unlike in the anime and manga, he should have joined the soccer club before he realized his lack of talent compared to others and became a loner due to a personality crisis. It seems that meeting me made him fall into this kind of game world faster. 

"I will join the Public Morals Committee." As for Ino, she hasn't changed much. However, it feels like Ino's frequent communication with Ruby and me has made her less strict in the rules. However, I don't know if she will become as strict as in the anime and manga when she joins the Public Morals Committee Members.

"Eh— that's too bad. But how about you, Onii-chan?" Ruby asked me once again to confirm that I would be joining her new club. I could see her eyes gleaming in anticipation of an answer that matched her expectations. But unfortunately I gave an answer that Ruby didn't like. 

Because in the end I was thinking of trying to join another club.
