A Danger Occured

After several weeks, Our household regained it's original status back. People who looked back then at my father, Baron Luke Jeager with utter disgust in their eyes, Seeing him as the Peasant or the so called lowest rank of the Noble lineage suddenly changed.

The People looked up to him now after our successful business got out. Rumors about Luna's Curry Restaurant spread throughout the entirety of Emperium. Many People from different Cities, visited and negotiated with my Father on opening new branches within their Cities. Ofcourse, my father didn't answered them immediately. He called me and introduced me to the people who negotiated with him.

So I introduced my self, Not as the Son of Baron Luke Jeager, but as the Chef and the one responsible for the Invention of the newly delicious dish, Curry.

They were shocked upon hearing my words.

'A kid?! Sorry, Are you saying that this Kid created the Curry, Baron Luke?'

'Yes, Mr. Diego. He is the one responsible for the Curry's appearance. He was the one who invented the Magnificent dish that you've all tasted.'

Mr. Diego Johnsmith, A Popular business man and one of the most wealthiest man in the Emperium kingdom.

'Oh my, I didn't knew such an outstanding child existed in Nero Town. Haha!'

'I'm honored, Mr. Diego for your compliment.'

'He even has such good manners. Haha! So what do you think, Luna? How about opening different branches unto other cities? Ofcourse I'll be the one to get you the best places for your magnificent restaurant. And I'll also be the one paying the cost of the land. All I ask is you give me half of the percentage incomes. It'll benefit us both.'

This guy's not here for the Recipe, He's basically into the future outcomes. He's indeed known as one of the Greatest businessman in the entirety of Emperium.

'Fifty percent of our income you say? Me and my father will think about it first. Is it okay for you to give us some time, perhaps a day?'

'Ofcourse! Ofcourse! Give yourselves some time to think. I'm good at running businesses, I'm definitely confident at that. And You'll not regret it partnering with me.'

After that, Mr. Diego left our restaurant and headed back to Deuxford City.

Me and my father discussed about this matter, But we put in on hold and wanted to discuss it later at home alongside with my mother.

My father is really such a nice guy, no wonder my mother fell for him. Even though he's kinda immature sometimes. But I guess his flaws is what makes him outstanding.

After that, we headed back home. My father was always overjoyed this days. I never knew he could make such face, like this.

Seeing my father a few years before, He always came home with an exhausted look on his face. A face which expressed fake happiness while trying to hide the struggles he's dealing with.

But now that everything's changed, I'm really glad that I managed to help him.

I, and my father finally reached home. Then My mother welcomed us and showered us with her praises. My father then switched to his Immature mode and started bragging about how awesome I was again.

After some time, We finally had dinner. My Mother was now more relaxed than before, Now we have maids on our house to carry out our House affairs.

My father, told my mother that the famous Diego Johnsmith went to our restaurant earlier. My Mother was surprised, That the busy Diego Johnsmith gave time to visit our restaurant.

Father told her that Diego proposed to us on building different branches all over Emperium.

So my mother asked what Diego asked for in return, Father explained that Diego will be taking 50% of the Restaurant's incomes in the branches that'll be built.

And he'll also be the one managing the branches and also the one that'll buy the lands which our restaurants will be built at.

My mother told father that it wasn't a bad offer for them. Seeing on how Mr. Diego would invest such an amount for a merely 50% income of a new restaurant. Since The lands inside the Capital cities are very expensive that'll cost more than ten thousand golds.

What!? Ten Thousand Golds?! How come the lands be so expensive?! Hey, Millis? Is it true?

"Noti-- Ehem. I do not have the exact answer, But I do not detect any lies within your mother's words."

My father then agreed to my mother's words and continued discussing throughout our dinner.

The next day, we finally had a conclusion.

Mr. Diego came back to our Restaurant, Then they discussed the terms upon opening the new branches within the capital cities.

My father told Mr. Diego that the Recipe can't be handed over, Even him, The father wasn't able to acquire the Recipe of the Curry.

Mr. Diego laughed hearing my father's words. He also does not wish to learn the Curry's recipe since it'll become a huge disadvantage for Me and my father.

So They discussed about the matter on how it'll work, But after talking they didn't find any good way to have the curry passed down without me visiting each of the branches daily.

I hid the part where I can create the Curry powder perfectly which is used to make Curry, When the time comes I'll teach father how to Cook Curry, But for now I'll just have to hide the facts since we're just starting to gain the upper hand.

So that's when I stepped in their not so good conversation.

I told them that I can make an incredible amount of curry per day for each of the new branches that'll be built soon. But the problem is, the Delivery method. Since it'll be too dangerous to send a carriage filled with alot of curry inside. The dangers of it being robbed will be high, So I asked them the one possible and secure way on delivering the supplies.

Mr. Diego felt relieved that I could make alot of curry everyday and had an Idea, and told us about it.

'I have a special team that can carry out delivering the supplies to each branches daily. The only problem is that It'll be limited, and once it runs out we'll have to forcefully close the restaurant.'

'Don't worry Mr. Diego, I'll fill five containers with curry for each branches. And If it does run out you can send back some people here to get some curry.'

'Haha kid! You never seize to amaze me! You look like a Child but your more mature that how you look. Okay That settles it! Fifty fifty, This is the biggest investment i've made since I started business. But I see light upon you and took it without concerning myself the possible risks! Haha! I'll send someone tomorrow for the Contract, And I'll update you guys soon if the the New branches are officially ready.'

'Okay Mr. Diego, Thankyou for this Opportunity.'

Then Mr. Diego left our restaurant with a smile on his face, Seeing him smile like that made me think on how he really felt.

"It'll rain money! Haha!" Is what I'm guessing on how he's thought about all of this.

So father's, No, Our family business finally bloomed. Luna's Curry would soon scatter throughout the entire Emperium.

But unfortunately, besides the good news, There were always bad news. Alot of people got jealous, and competitors that tried to negotiate with us on opening new branches within emperium started causing ruckus around our restaurant. Since we declined their offer, Unlike the fifty fifty split offer which Mr. Diego offered separating the Land costs. The other offers of the competitors were kinda petty.

Not only they tried to take advantage on us by making the split seventy thirty (Seventy for them and thirty for us) They also didn't want to solely buy the lands which the restaurants will be built on. They'll only add an amount then leave the other costs to us. They just basically want to manage the branches and earn alot while not investing alot of money from their pockets.

Such jerks doesn't deserve our curry!

Later that day, we finally closed and started heading back home.

As we kept walking at the streets of Nero town, Millis noticed someone was following us.

"Notice, Someone is following you."

'Huh? Someone is following us?'

"That is correct, I can sense any individual using the detection Skill within a fifty meter radius, which is a part of your analysis skill."

'What!? Detection? How come you didn't tell me that? It'll be helpful to tell me this kind of things Millis!'

"....."

'Why aren't you answering!? Nevermind.'

"Notice, The Individual that is following you contains mana. He is basically a mana user, The individual is closing in towards you."

I knew that someday this would happen. Kidnapping the victim and torturing them up until they spill out the desired information they want. I always saw this on the movies on my previous life.

As me and my father passed through the alleyways of Nero Town, I told my father that I wanted to grab something first and he should head home first.

My father insisted that he would come along with me but I told him that he shouldn't let mother wait any longer, So father finally agreed and went home alone without me.

Then after father left, I went to a secluded place where no one was at. Then finally the one that followed me showed up.

'Interesting, Such kid noticed me huh?'

An adult man's voice was heard behind me.

'I could sense you from miles away, No need to answer your questions. What is it that you want? Why did you follow me?'

'I was given a task by a client to take the recipe of Curry. So spill it out before things get bad, I don't really want to hurt a child.'

'Haha! The Recipe of curry huh? I never knew that people would do shady things for such a recipe. I guess they're totally pent up on having our secret recipe.'

'It's good that you know, So how about you hand over the recipe before you get hurt pretty badly.'

As I turned around to face the unknown individual, I saw him wearing black clothing and wore black hooded robe covering his face with some cloth.

I guess he really is a mercenary, Given to how he looks like.

'I'm sorry Mr. Mercenary, But I'll have to decline your offer.'

'Haha! I guess kids nowadays have more guts than the adults.'

The Mercenary reached out his hand towards the back of his waist and grabbed two daggers out.

"Notice, Sensing Murderous intent coming from the unknown Individual. Analysis complete, Direct Haki can be used unto the Individual."

'So you mean He'll faint if i use Direct Haki towards him?'

"Correct."

'Okay, I'll try it out, I only saw it on my favorite anime at my previous life, I didn't knew that such opportunity for me to use it would happen.'

As the unknown man prepared a stance infront of me, I stood calmly infront of him.

'Such confidence young one.'

The Mercenary then ran towards me in a fast pace, trying to close our gap.

But before he could reach my shadow, My Direct Haki reached him. Caused him to feel intense pressure from my Haki.

'Gah, What is this intense pressure!? It feels like I'm being strangled to death...'

The mercenary fell unto his knees, and sooner he lost consciousness and fainted infront of me.

'Gahhh! I can't believe I used my haki similar to my favorite anime! Haha! I fell immense pleasure from doing this! Wooh!'

"....."

'Why are you being like that!? Can't you just praise me?!'

"....."

'Ugh, nevermind. Let's just take a look at the mercenary's face and tie him up.'

So I went to check on what he looked like, After removing his hoodie and uncovering the cloth on his face. He looked like a middle aged mana user, he had black long hair tied from the back. Sharp jawline, Sharp brows and a bushy mustache.

So I used Creation Skill and made handcuffs without keys, and Cuffed the unknown individual from his feet and hands.

Then I called some of the guards that patrol around Nero Town to take the guy that had tried to threaten my life.

The guards looked at the Culprit and noticed that the Cuffs were different, Most people here use ropes rather than metal handcuffs.

'Um, kid? Where did you manage to get this Handcuffs?'

'Oh, You see I love making new things. I Just somehow made it. See you!'

The Guards then took the unconscious guy with them.

And I also went home, But as I walked I thought and asked myself why did that mercenary used daggers rather than using magic. Since he was analyzed by Millis to be a Mana user.

I guess he felt kinda confident and didn't needed to use magic confronting a ten year old boy with pretty looks. Haha!

"Notice, The Unknown individual had a high aptitude for Wind element. Seeing his huge mana pool, He is definitely a higher ranking Mana user."

'Wow, So there are Rankings between Mana users? It's just like on the Pay to win games I've played back then.'

"Correct, There are seven types of Stages in being a mana user. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Master, King, Saint and God tier Mana user. Seeing his Mana, I am sure he is ranked at the Advanced stage."

'Wow! I didn't knew that such stages exist! So what stage does one need to have a contract with elemental spirits?'

"Master, Master Stage and above can freely contract with Elemental Spirits, But The higher the Mana User's stage is, The Higher the Spirit's Ranking can be contracted with."

'So even Spirits have ranks?'

"Yes, Spirits have different ranks within them. The normal ones are called Elemental Spirits, The higher ones are called Arch Spirits and lastly the Kings of each Elements are called the Primordial spirits. That each represents the four elements."

'Wow, millis you sure know alot.'

"Correct, Since I am the Skill Tree and I acquired alot of knowledge from this world."

'So can you tell me everything?'

"...."

'Come on!'

Millis didn't answer as I kept walking towards my home. And finally I reached our house, But I knew before I could enter our gate that something had happened. Hearing my father's voice shouting around inside the house, I knew something was definitely not right. I felt uneasy and started walking slowly towards the door.

Then after reaching infront of the door, I tried to open it slowly. I saw my father kneeling at the ground with an awful expression on his face.

'Father, What's going on? Why are you shouting?'

'Your mother.'

'Huh? What about mother?'

'Your mother is missing.'

'Huh?'

That's when I felt a sudden ache towards my heart. The fear of losing someone precious to me, The fear of losing my mom. My father looked at me with a sad expression on his face and asked me what could've happen to my mother and why did she disappear so suddenly.

My father became senseless, knowing my mother, His wife's disappearance would really shake his brains out.

'Father, You gotta relax. We'll look for mother. First let's asks the maids what time she disappeared.'

'The maids told me that your mother disappeared an hour ago, She was seen at the garden at the back of the house for a moment and suddenly disappeared out of nowhere.'

'Okay father, I'll look for mother. Let's split and search the area. I'm sure they're still close.'

My father nodded and stood up, Then we started heading out within different directions.

I knew this would happen, Seeing the mercenary try to kidnap me. I was sure that my mother or father would also get dragged unto this mess. The feeling of uneasiness was consuming me. I felt really angry and also terrified at the same time.

"Notice"

"I sense your mother within forty meters away, proceed to the northern direction."

'Thanks millis!'

So I ran as fast as I could towards the directions that Millis gave me. Wait for me mother, I'll surely save you! I hope that something bad doesn't happen to you...
