“They have. For that, I’m sorry, but I couldn’t stop them alone.” Micah looked embarrassed.
“I don’t know how we’d track them,” Todd said.
Micah nodded and continued, “I’ve actually been here about a year, working with someone to break up a hell circle, which is—”
Todd snorted. “We’ve had the pleasure of finding out exactly what that is.”
“I realize you two normally deal with spirits and shifters.” Micah sounded sympathetic.
“What I wouldn’t give for a plain ole haunting about now,” Nick grumbled.
Micah threw his head back and bellowed a hearty laugh. “I like you two.”
“Oh, good. I was worried you wouldn’t,” Todd drawled.
Nick snickered, though he kept his position behind Todd. He was still unsure about this man and recorders in general. That didn’t mean he and Todd couldn’t get information from him and work with him if necessary. What it did mean was using extra caution and care around him. “You said you were working with someone?” Nick asked.
