He planned on having the region within a hundred metres of the forest edge cleared for farming. As for the grassy plane,that would be left as it was,since he planned on expanding the territory on the grassy plane.

There was also the iron mining task, forging tasks for blacksmiths, construction tasks for the masons and carpenters. Practically,there were a dozen tasks for both professional s and nonprofessionals.

Zach did not hold back on coins as he had enough copper ores to smelt and mould thousands of them. These tasks were not just meant for residents of his settlement,as he had received a few reports of visitors from Evergreen Settlement,who had found some free time to come visit their families.

There were still several days left before the first delegation of elders and residents of Evergreen Settlement paid him a visit. They would be coming to officially establish a relation between the two parties, allowing trade and cooperation between them.

As the days passed,Zach was busy in his backyard,he had earlier on left the settlement for the a hundred year old low ranked spirit oak tree.

The oak tree was big enough for him to carve out and forge three low ranked spirit boats and one mid ranked spirit boat. The spirit materials needed were easy to access,as he had his guards gather them for him. The formation strengthen armors enabled the low stage spirit qi gathering realm guards fight beast two stages above them. That meant that his high stage spirit qi gathering realm guards could now fight against low stage foundation establishment realm beast and come out on top,as they did not just have their weapons skills,but also the iron fist technique and the Falcon Fleight movement technique under their sleeves.

At the end of the month,the delegation of elders and residents of Evergreen Settlement arrived,Zach held a celebration for them.

The delegation was shocked by the massive size of Zach Settlement,it was three times the size of their settlement,that was close to becoming a village,and in terms of development,not even the other two villages they had relations with could compare to what they saw.

The delegation spent a week in Zach's Settlement,and when they left,they promised to send more of their residents over to work here. The compensation for the tasks available here were too enticing for them not to take advantage of.

The unit of guards tasked with guarding Evergreen Settlement left with the delegation. Zach had dropped by the settlement on his way to cutting down the a hundred year old low ranked spirit oak tree and set a few low ranked defense formation arrays and a spirit qi gathering formations for the guards who would be sent over. He did not want the guards cultivation to slow down well they accomplished their tasked of guarding Evergreen Settlement. The guards were to spend three months at the settlement before a second unit would be sent to relieve them off duty.

A month later,Zach finally broke through into the peak stage of foundation establishment realm,at the same time, he finished forging the first low ranked spirit boat,that was used by the logistic division to transport stones from ranges and iron from the mines.

They had discovered the ranges at the edge of the grassy plane. The stone there was good for construction and so the administrators at the settlement hall sent people over to mine them. It took the logistic division three days to transport the stones back to the settlement,using low stage spirit qi gathering realm oxen pulled carts. But with the low ranked spirit boat,the time taken would be halved, boosting the settlement development.

The stones from the ranges were mostly being used for the construction of the sewer system and the roads. The cabins, mostly were made of wood,as these were affordable for most residents, while a mixture of wood,stone and bricks were used to construct the expensive cabins and storey houses,as well as the shops,the inns,the taverns and other nonresidential buildings.

From a far,the settlement looked like a small town.

The guards had either captured all the spirit beast they came across for rearing or killed them for their meat and materials,that were used by Zach for formations and forging.

As for the exploring parties,they had discovered another iron mine and a village at the western edge of the plane. Zach had already sent a delegation to discuss cooperation and trade with the new village. The other two delegations sent to discuss cooperation and trade with the two forest village's that had a relation with Evergreen Settlement had yet to return.

Zach was beginning to worry as it had been over three weeks since he sent them. Each delegation was escorted by two low stage spirit qi gathering realm guards and one mid stage spirit qi gathering guard. He had decided to give them a week before venturing out in search of them,he hoped that nothing bad had befell them.

As for the Mamba Bandits lair,he had scouted it before,and had forced a mid stage spirit qi gathering realm bandits he had captured outside the lair to take bloodline oath,that bonded him to Zach.

This bandit was currently acting as his spy. Zach had the tailor's husband,one of the three guards at peak stage of spirit qi gathering realm,to rendezvous with the spy bandit once a week for information on the progress and movements of the bandits.

It was during one of these secret gathering that Zach learnt of the Mamba Bandits decision to send a party out in search of the party that had left to raid Evergreen Settlement.

"It seems like the hire ups left seclusion..."

Zach had learnt from his spy that the boss had gone into seclusion, leaving the Captains in charge. The four captains were at logger heads,so none of them was willing to send his men to search for the fifth captain's squad, giving Zach and his guards enough time to raise their cultivation and prepare a defensive and counterattack measures.

From each weekly batch of thirty-two new residents,Zach had the guards recruit three of them, increasing the number of guards by eighteen.
