Saving the Ogres!!

Once Rimuru absorbed Shizue's body, he got a human form because of it.

His human form looked similar to Shizue but with short blue hair, he was also around 5 feet.

Tears started to form under his eyes.

Lucifer went up to him and silently hugged him, waiting for him to calm down.

While they were hugging, Lucifer put an oversized shirt on Rimuru to cover him up, he sensed the adventurers were nearby.

"You look kinda cute, maybe if you weren't mentally a boy, I'd hit on you." Lucifer mischievously smirked, trying to cheer up Rimuru.

"Eww, get off me!"

Rimuru realized Lucifer was just trying to cheer him up and just went with it.

While Rimuru and Lucifer were joking around, the adventures suddenly entered the shed with Rigur and Ranga right behind them.

"Uhm where's Shizue?" Eren questioned.

Rimuru turned serious and explained to the adventurers what had happened.

They seemed very sad and understanding of the situation but still questioned Rimuru.

"How do we know if your actually Rimuru?" Gido questioned suspiciously.

"What! Do you think we can't recognize our own master!?" Ranga seemed to have been angered at Gido's question.

"How dare you doubt our master!?" Rigur also seemed angered.

"No no, we didn't mean it like that, you just look like a younger version of Shizue." Kaval stated, seemingly trying to deescalate the situation.

"Well, it's me, watch." Rimuru then turned into his slime form.

Lucifer just remained silent and watched the conversation, since it didn't involve him.

"Does that mean you ate Shizue like you ate Ifrit?" Eren questioned sadly.

"Sorry, it was the only burial I could have given her." Rimuru somberly stated.

Lucifer didn't believe he was needed there and just shunpod out there, he sent a thought communication to Rimuru.

'Yo Rimuru, meet me at your shed once you finish with them.'

'Huh? Oh sure I guess.'

Rimuru was confused at first but just went with it.

Once Lucifer was out of the shed, he just waited outside Rimuru's shed until he would be done talking.

Eventually, 15 minutes later, Lucifer could see Rimuru in the distance, walking towards him in his human form, Rimuru seemed to have not changed out of the oversized shirt.

"Yo, what's up? You didn't even say goodbye to the adventurers, they just left." Rimuru questioned.

"Nah I forgot to tell you something earlier."

"Oh? What?" Rimuru looked at Lucifer questiongly.

"When I was patrolling around the forest, I saw thousands of orcs about to surprise attack an ogre village and I'm thinking we should save them." Lucifer quickly explained.

"Since when do you patrol the forest!? Plus I don't think we even have the manpower to go against an army that has over thousands! While I don't want innocents to die, how do you expect us to beat them?" Rimuru questioned surprisngly.

"Isn't it obvious?" Lucifer stared dead straight at Rimuru.

"Wait, your not thinking what I think your thinking, are you?! If you are, your crazy!" Rimuru exclaimed.

"What do you mean? You and me could defintley do it. Listen, we don't have to beat them even though we could, all we have to do is stall for time while the ogres are running. And voila, we can save people while getting new subordinates who are strong." Lucifer explained his plan.

"I mean your not wrong, but what if we run into a strong opponet?" Rimuru realized Lucifer wasn't wrong but was still cautious about the situation.

Lucifer knew the only person who could maybe oppose them in the attack was Footman, but he was confident that Rimuru and him could take him on if they need to.

"Isn't it obvious? We run." Lucifer smirked.

"Ugh fine, let me inform the rest that we'll be gone for a few days." Rimuru reluctantly accepted his plan.

The only reason Lucifer wanted to bring Rimuru was because he didn't know if he could take on Footman himself and he also wanted Rimuru to get some favor with the ogres since their his future subordinates.

Once Rimuru told the people in the village that he and Lucifer would be gone for a few days to save a village, him and Lucifer set off.

Their were some that wanted to go with them in order to help, which included Ranga, Rigur, etc.

But Rimuru reminded them since he and Lucifer won't be here, they needed to protect the village in their stead, they reluctantly agreed and stayed to protect the village.

"Do you know how long it will take for the Orcs to reach the Ogres?"

While on the run, Rimuru questioned Lucifer.

"Few hours at best, so we should hurry up, let me carry you since I'm faster." Lucifer just picked up Rimuru without waiting, he hasn't used shunpo because he was pacing at Rimuru's speed the whole time.

"Huh? AHHHHHH!!" Rimuru was confused at first because Lucifer immediately put him in a princess carry but a couple seconds later, they started to zoom across the Forest silently.

'He wasn't using his full speed earlier!? Even though if I really focused I could track his movements but I'm not entirely sure if I can react to it.' Rimuru thought surprisedly.

"This skill of yours is definitely convenient."

Rimuru eventually got used to the speed and complimented his skill.

Lucifer just smirked and went even faster but he made sure not to overdo it because he didn't want to waste Magicules.

Eventually, they could see a village up ahead, it looked pretty peaceful.

Lucifer let go of Rimuru and let him stand on his own, while they walked towards the village.

"STOP!! YOU ARE TRESPASSING INTO OUR VILLAGE!!" A guard in one of the Watchtowers exclaimed.

"We have important information to relay to your village chief." Lucifer responded calmly.

"I will relay the message to him, just tell me." The guard stated.

"Well, there is an orc army of thousands nearby about to attack you." Lucifer got straight to the point because he didn't want to delay.

The Watchtower guard relayed the message to another guard near him.

A few minutes later, Lucifer and Rimuru were allowed to enter and were directed to the chief's room.

Once they entered they could see a middle-aged man with red skin and short red hair, he was around 6 feet tall.

The room was pretty old-fashioned being made out of straws and wood.

"I'll get straight to the point, why would humans intend to help us?" The chief questioned.

It seemed like once he was warned about the army, he sent out scouts and figured out they weren't lying but he was still suspicious of the two humans.

"Well, first of all, we aren't humans."

Lucifer and Rimuru turned into their monster forms and transformed back into their human form.

"And second of all, why wouldn't we monsters help each other out?" Lucifer questioned while smiling.

"Monsters don't just help each other ou-"

Suddenly, Lucifer let go of his aura and immediately silenced the chief who started to sweat nervously because of how powerful it was.

"Now do you see, I could easily kill you but that's not our goal, we're trying to save you guys and we're wasting time by talking here." Lucifer cut off the chief, he didn't wanna waste time talking to the chief and then let the orcs attack before he can even save everyone.

Rimuru just sighed shaking his head.

'Did he really have to go and do all that? I guess it was needed for the situation.' Rimuru inwardly thought.

"Even if we accepted your help, what do you want us to do?" The chief just sighed, he knew the purple hair cat was not his opponent and he assumed his companion is probably just as strong.

"All you guys have to do is evacuate the village quickly, me and Rimuru will hold back the orcs while you guys are escaping. And just in case any orcs get past us, you guys should be able to easily defeat them." Lucifer quickly explained everything.

"But you guys have to fight over thousands!!" The chief was in disbelief, because how could two guys hold back thousands of orcs?

"Don't worry, quoted from one of my favorite people, "Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one." " Lucifer confidently stated while hiding his snickers.

Rimuru just looked at him dumbfounded.

'Gojo's quote really?' Rimuru telepathically questioned in disbelief.

'What? It has a nice ring to it.' Lucifer inwardly chuckled.

Seeing Lucifer act so confident, the chief had no choice but to believe him, especially after seeing his immense aura.

The chief immediately started evacuating his village, telling everyone to only bring nesscaities.

After some time, there were around 50 to 100 people still in the village, Rimuru and Lucifer sensed that the army was already on their doorstep, so they immediately went out to meet them.

"Damn that's a lot." Lucifer commented while looking at the field filled with thousands of orcs.

Currently, he and Rimuru were in the air floating, Rimuru was using his bat wings, while Lucifer was just floating using magic, they were observing the army from above.

"Of course it is, let's just do our best, I've created a certain spell which should help a lot." Rimuru said shaking his head,

"Oh, what type of spell did you create?" Lucifer questioned.

"It's called Megiddo, it's a wide-range spell meant to kill thousands of thousands, I never wanted to use it but it seems I might have to today, let's first check if they're open to retreating," Rimuru explained.

'He made that spell this early? Or is it because we're fighting an army so he made it earlier, well whatever.' Lucifer pondered.

"Actually try not to use it because it seems like their being controlled somehow, so they're not doing it out of their free will." Lucifer stated.

He didn't want that many orcs to die since they would later join their country and the more the merrier.

Rimuru was slightly surprised about them being controlled but once he checked in with [Great Sage], it seemed to have come to the same conclusion.

"So that throws out the option for them retreating. How about breaking whatever is controlling them?" Rimuru questioned.

"Most likely not possible since we don't have the means to do so."

'At this point, Rimuru hasn't awakened as a demon lord so I don't think he has the means in order to break it because if he did, why didn't he break the spell in the original.' Lucifer concluded that Rimuru and he were too weak to even break the spell even if they wanted to.

Rimuru nodded at his words since [Great Sage] also said he didn't have the means to break it.

"Well, I sense a strong individual at the back of the army, he seems to be close to our strength but still a bit off. The rest seem to be fodder." Rimuru explained his observations of the army.

"Impressive, I forgot to mention it but the strong one looks like a big fat clown." Lucifer chuckled, he didn't forget himself but he forgot to inform Rimuru about him.

"Whatever, Let's go!" Rimuru got used to Lucifer's antics and just jumped down to the ground in front of all the orcs with Lucifer dropping down with him.

Rimuru was originally going to use wide-range magic but since he has to knock everyone unconscious, he will have to use physical force and the weaker skills that he has.

Lucifer switched his ammo to tranquilizer ammo and got ready.

"Auto bots ROLL OUT!" Lucifer tried imitating Optimus Prime and then jumped to battle.

Rimuru just shook his head and followed after him but he had a small smile on his face.
