Chapter 21: They Cannot Escape

Emerald's behavior was quite brave and bold at that time because Phoenix's reinforcement would arrive in three minutes, and she was almost a green hand. She was trying to figure out how to match the steadfast Zerg bandits in force?

The two spaceships battled head-on. Missiles and bazookas shot each other like two meteors carrying light and crashing into the rubble belt. Two minutes later, the fight came to an end.

The Zerg spaceship had only gotten one shot, while Emerald's Snowberg had gotten three shots and was broken at once. Then, a petite figure popped up from the broken Snowberg like a missile.

"Emerald!"

"Shit!" All spectators at the Phoenix exclaim in unison.

"She made it!" Harrison gave a different perspective. The First Officer and the rest of the crowd turned around in surprise to see their captain smile slyly, "Emerald broke their FTL engine. They cannot escape!"

Everyone agreed. They saw the five arriving Joke lives encompass the smoking and fleeing Zerg spaceship.

The rescue ship also arrived and rescued Emerald promptly, flying her to Moon Sally.

Harrison was laughing and speaking to the others in the command center. "She's marvelous, don't you think?"

No one knew how to respond to his excitement.

Then the first officer explained. "The sudden attacks prevented the Zerg from initiating an FTL jump, the bold head-on battle frightened them of being shot in its back, and then she took advantage of the Zerg's revenge, making herself a bait to lure the Zerg spaceship to be encompassed. She did all of that in such a short period of time. Although we lost in the one-on-one battle, we won the whole battle."

Harrison sternly gazed at them. "What if the Zerg spaceship escapes and jumps into the Hope aerospace next time?"

Everyone was silent.

Harrison was thinking for a while and suddenly roared. "Get through to Zerg's border officer and ask if they want to fight!"

The corresponding officer replied rapidly, "Captain, the Zerg's Queen sends an apology statement, saying that it's their lack of defense that leads to this kind of event, and they require our support."

Harrison was thoughtful and silent, and then he cursed. "Shit, This battle just became a game."

The officers turn wordless.

Nobody had been able to hear Harrison's words in the rescue ship. Emerald sat in the cabinet, and the doctor sighed when checking her. "You always look calm, but this time you were too rash. See? You lost. Fortunately, you didn't lose your own life..."

Emerald didn't respond.

After violently tossing, the rescue ship went through the Moon Sally aerospace and dropped down into the air for several hundred meters.

Moon Sally was famous in this galaxy, not as a moon, but as a traveling site.

With the rescue ship's low-altitude flying, the beautiful view of the first satellite in the galaxy came into sight---the sky was as clean as a crystal, the blue sea as soft as silk. The beach was formed by fine and white sand. Under the sunlight, semi-naked men and women were scattered all around the beach.

"Wonderland..." someone says. Everyone agreed. Moon Sally was famous for its openness; therefore, the sightseeing here was well developed. Moreover, governments from various stars liked to conduct their meetings here. Everyone understood why.

After ten minutes on the ground, they found the wreckage of the Snowberg, which was still in smoke. But they couldn't see the Zerg spaceship.

The entire beach was in chaos. Men and women screaming and running around with their belongings scattered everywhere... Finally, several rigid-looking young people who were dressed in shorts wearing sun helmets and carrying spears stepped forward to the wreckage of the Snowberg---they seem to be the coast guard.

The person who caused the chaos was undoubtedly Zach, standing beside the wreckage and three Zergs surrounding him.

The ammunition of the rescue ship cannot achieve a precise attack on such a small target. Two ship officers then shout, "let us go ashore!" one officer looks at Emerald, "Why don't you move?"

"I..." Emerald was grateful for what Zach was doing, but it would not be wise for her to fight the Zergs within such a close distance. Her comrades seemed to have forgotten that she was a woman.

The three went ashore, and what they saw was deeply shocking.

The young guards were in a panic. They surrounded the Zergs, which were standing like a human on their rear. Their barn-shaped legs on their black bodies wielded swiftly and were easy to prick human flesh. Zach stood in the center, and his face was cold. At his feet were the two Zerg corpses surrounded by blood. Zach had killed them.

He barely kicked the soft belly of one Zerg, who fell easily as he was hurt in the gut.

Zach's feet started to bleed. The other two Zergs then jump on him, fighting him hand-to-hand.

Emerald and the other two officers immediately went to Zach's defense.

A triple gunshot was heard blasting through the air. Another Zerg was shot down. Zach turned around with a proud smile, "You're too slow. They almost killed me."

Zergs are smart creatures, and noticing that they were surrounded, the other two suddenly jump on the frightened guards! These young guys had never seen Zergs before, and their guns were not strong enough to hurt the Zerg's shell. Instantly, two guards were down.

The scene was revolting! The Zergs with black shells, multiple legs, and purple compound eyes squirmed on the guard's body and started biting with wheezing sounds. The guard's face and body were badly mutilated! His screaming suddenly stopped... his throat had been cut... he was dead.

Emerald and her team couldn't fire! The two outraged officers jumped to the Zerg!

Zach was hurt and sat down on the ground. He saw Emerald, who was trying to aim the moving targets and shouted. "What are you doing? Go back now!"

A loud scream was heard. One of the officers was under a Zerg body, protecting the young guard with his own body as the Zerg was violently biting him. Zach roared and jumped at them, ignoring his injuries.

Emerald, who had been keeping a safe distance from the Zergs because she knew that she would easily be killed in a hand-to-hand fight, forgot all her senses and jumped onto the scene.
