"Y-you, why are you here?", asks Morgan. A moment ago, he was terrified. But now, he is inexplicably infuriated. He had just realized that it was no use talking sense with this woman. His friendly and kind countenance turns dissatisfied. "Leave."
"Morgan, do you know her?" Mrs Heirden asks, confused as she and her husband eye her from head to toe. Samanatha is perfect in their eyes, actually. But they wonder who she is and why she is acting so domineering in front of them, especially to Morgan.
"No Ma." Morgan pulled his mother and father behind him, trying to hide them from Samantha's venomous gaze. "Whoever you are, I'm begging you, please leave. You're not invited here."
Samantha pouts her lips and acts sad. No. The sadness on her face was not an act at all. For some reason, she herself can't explain why, but a part in her heart feels the pain seeing how Morgan dislikes her.
Samantha mocks herself in mind. 'Hey, hey, Samantha. Wait. You're a vampire. Do you think you have a heart? You just want him for fun.'
Samantha suddenly chuckles. "How could you ask me to leave? I told you, I'd pick you up. And today is that time."
"And who are you?" Mrs Heirden comes out and faces her. "You're a beautiful young lady, but you should not be disrespectful. What do you want from my son?"
Samantha smiles. "Well, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Samantha Cullton. I'm your son's REAL fiancè. And today, we are getting MARRIED." She moves her gaze from the old woman to Morgan. "You promised me that."
"What?" Mr and Mrs Heirden ejaculate in unison. Their shocked gaze moved to Morgan and once again questioned him simultaneously. "Morgan, what is this lady spouting about?"
Morgan bites his inner cheeks out of rage and helplessness at the same time. He knows, if he fights with her head on, he can't do anything about her. But what will happen to Mario if he can't marry Ashley today? She sure will be heartbroken if she finds out about these lies.
Morgan has no idea how he is going to explain his parents about Samantha, because even he can't think of a reason for how he attracts this witch's attention.
He clenches his fists. He has the urged to strangle her to death. But, will that be able to kill her? A vampire?
Morgan breathes silently as he suppresses his anger to flare up.
"Let's talk some other days." He says softly. "I'm overloaded today."
"No. You're marrying me today. You can't take back your word." Samantha says, and again acts hurt. "You promised me."
Morgan's brows furrows, helpless and frustrated. "Are you… insane?"
"No." Samantha answers in a pleasing tone. The way she speaks is alluring in the ears, it is completely contradicting to how cold she appears, especially the air that surrounds her. "At least not yet at the moment. But… if I become mad… you can't blame me if I do something horrible, can you?"
"I don't like you. Can't you see that?" Morgan says clearly. "And I will never be able to like someone like you. You get me? I would only like someone like Ashley. And I'm marrying her today. It's final."
"Is that so?" As soon as Samantha vocalises these three simple words, the atmosphere of the room becomes bizarrely wintry. And exudes an oppressive dark aura that creeps chill to their skin. "Trust me, Morgan. You don't want to marry her."
Mr and Mrs Heirden swallow. Somehow, they can't understand why the aura of this mysterious woman sends creeps all over their bodies. They subconsciously shudder and can't bring themselves to speak anymore.
Samantha crosses the distance between her and Morgan. She coquettishly trails her eyes to Morgan from head to toe and runs her fingers playfully from his wrist up to his shoulders.
Morgan shivered when she suddenly settled her hands on his neck. He might have thought she would choke him, but her hands ended up fixing his tie.
"Chill." Samantha pats his chest. "Your tie is unsymmetrical. It's not that I'm going to eat you. But…" She pauses and goes to his ear, brushing her lips to his earlobe which sends a digressing sparks through his body. She whispers softly, that only the both of them can hear. "I'll drink your entire family's blood if you keep opposing me. You should be aware of what I'm capable of."
Samantha slightly pricks her fangs on his ear, which once again makes Morgan quiver, and she pulls away with a cold smile. "Tell them Morgan. You're marrying me now, instead of Ashley."
Morgan closes his eyes and doesn't answer right away. A second of silence makes Samantha badly impatient. "Morgan."
"Yes." Morgan opens his eyes and meets hers. This time, only hatred fills his eyes. There's no more fear. "I'll marry you. Are you happy now?"
"Not bad. Hmm, I'm satisfied." Samantha turned around, facing the door. "Now, come with me and marry me somewhere else."
"No!!" Mrs Heirden and Mr Heirden break out from the oppressing fear that they have no idea what caused it in the first place and pull Morgan to their sides.
"Who do you think you are? Why are you taking him? You can't take him away!" Mrs Heirden firmly says, tears well up on the edges of her eyes, but she bravely blocks Samantha using herself, with her shivering stance. If the wind blows on her a little stronger, she will certainly fall.
"Don't be afraid, Morgan. If she threatens you, we'll back you up." Mr Heirden glares at Samantha.
Samantha says nothing. In fact, she frowns at their reactions, but the truth behind that frown is to repress her urge to laugh at them. She finds them so amusing.
"I don't believe Morgan would promise to marry you. I know my son really well. He is not a jerk." Mrs Heirden says, her lips trembling. "He won't agree to marry Ashley if he already made a promise to you. Now, if you don't leave, I'll call the police."
"Grrr!!" Samantha growls at them like a beast, scaring Mrs Heirden. The old woman is terrified. She almost falls if not with her husband, who immediately supports her from behind.
Samantha burst out laughing, seeing them frightened. "So timid."
"Crazy, I'll kill you!" Mr Heirden shouts at Samantha, who only receives a pout from the latter.
"Alright, everybody, give me a break!" Morgan yells, which shocks his parents. He feels guilty yelling at them for the first time, but he doesn't apologise. Apologising won't change anything. Instead, he presses his temples, and says, "I give up. Don't try to do anything. You don't know her. You're not gonna win against her."
"Let's call Dr Clemente. He will—"
"I'll kill him." Samantha interjects, and hearing that, the old couple have their eyes bulge out in horror as they look at her as if she is a monster. Indeed, she is a monster. "Yes. I'll kill him if you call him here. And not only him…" She glances at the unconscious man on the sickbed and smirks creepily. "I'll make sure he will meet Hell much earlier."
"You— you're a monster!" Mrs Heirden weeps.
Samantha's eyes darken, but before she goes bonkers, Morgan steps in the middle and faces his parents. "Ma, Pa, enough resisting. I'll go with her. I'll be fine. I promise."
"But son—"
Morgan took his mother's hands and smiles at his parents bitterly. "I'll be fine. I promise. I promise."
Samantha rolls her eyes and grabs Morgan by his collar. "Too much of a drama. Come with me right now!"
She hauls Morgan towards the door in the same way how a master hauls a stubborn dog and, noticing that the old couple will not stop following them and might scream for help in no time, she shuts them with a threatening gaze and warns, "Scream and follow us, this son of yours will suffer."
Samantha's threat fails to scare them off, but Morgan's begging look makes them stop to advance. The old couple is left with no choice and can only cry as they hug each other while their son is taken away by some unknown wicked woman.
