I'm Taken

"La la, la la la. Lalalalala." Humming a song with no particular music notes, Samantha jovially walks down the stairs. Her ruddy dress bounces as she takes a step. Her mood enlightens her ethereal magnificence, like a lovely sprite dancing elegantly as she treads down the stairs of a flower garden.

Samantha is like an exquisite pink lily, blooming with beauty, charm, exquisiteness, and seduction. She is a product of perfection.

Samantha directly makes her way into the kitchen as she dances like a professional ballerina. She opens the fridge with an anticipating smile on her face, but it instantly perishes when she finds her fridge spotlessly devoid.

Her lips twitch at the sight. "Holy Moly! When is the last time I stock food in my cooler?"

There's no need to think when. Because in the first place, she never had to shop for groceries for the kitchen, except for her beauty products.

She doesn't need those damn human foods. But now, it's a different case. She has someone needs to raise.

She grits her teeth and reprimands herself while glaring at her reflection on the glossy door of the refrigerator. "Alright, sweetie pie. You're not allowed to complain. Remember, it's your fault. No one forced you to  pick up a man." She shakes her head and growls at herself. "This is what you got for being so nosy. You deserve it."

Samantha grabs a black card from a drawer in the living room and teleports to the dark corner across the nearest supermarket.

Samantha finds this new pastime so thrilling. This makes her feel more like a normal human.

She quickly enters the supermarket, and her radiating beauty attracts the attention of the men. She is like a magnet that doesn't need to show off or behave coquettishly to draw the eyes of people to her. It is naturally gathered by her annoyingly unrivaled charm.

Men and women occasionally steal glances at her, and others just can't help but gawk at her. Men look at her with adoration. Women look at her with envy.

Samantha ignores the attention she receives from them as she is used to this kind of attention. She immediately goes to the meat section and stuffs her cart with different parts of pig meat, chicken meat, and beef meat. She also grabs some vegetables, fruits, and then some other stuff needed in the kitchen. Once she is done, she hastily leads her cart to the counter area, chasing after the time.

The cashier stares at her face, without doing anything. Samantha frowns. She flicks her finger in front of the cashier and the latter jerks.

"Darling, is there something on my face?" Samantha asks with a smile.

The cashier shakes her head and embarrassingly starts to scan the items that Samantha puts on the counter.

When it's time for the payment, a young juicy man approaches Samantha. He props his elbow on the counter as he extends his platinum card to the cashier, eyes fixed on Samantha. "Hi, pretty. I'm Mike. Can I ask you out for a cup of drink?"

Samantha knits her brows. She admits he is good-looking, but he is not her cup of tea. She only gives him a half-second glance and plasters a friendly smile back to the cashier as she hands her card, "I don't accept alms. Use mine."

The man feels humiliated. His face slightly turns ruby, especially when some people behind them chuckle at him.

He presses his face close to Samantha's ear and whispers, "Give me some face, bitch, or you'll suffer the consequences."

Still, Samantha remains oblivious to the man's presence. As if she has not heard anything. Once her transaction is done, Samantha pushes the man away from her with a mere finger. Shocked sparks his face when he can't even keep himself still and is forced to back off.

With a black card stuck in between her sexy slender fingers to silently declare her status, she shows her ring finger that unexpectedly wears an exquisite diamond, and sassily says to the man, "Set your eyes on someone else, dude. I'm taken."

Samantha winks at him with a cynical smirk on her lips and elegantly ramps out of the store, leaving the man feeling extremely abashed.

An audible snicker comes out from her throat when the ring that became visible earlier goes invisible again from her finger as soon as she marches out of the door. "Hmm, this was cool."

=====

"Whew, it's finally over!" Samantha exclaims satisfactorily when she finally finishes preparing the food on a single tray. There are baked fish, Greek salad, gazpacho, salmon with lemon, and a big bowl of rice. Cutlery for one person and a glass of juice is also present.

Samantha wears a smile of achievement as she looks at the food. As a vampire who is not fond of human food, she has already done her best to cook these dishes without burning them all. She even decorated them perfectly on the plates based on how they were served through the videos she watches on the internet.

"Hmm, I'm such a genius." She chuckles. "That boy will certainly like these. I'll go serve him dinner. He must be starving."

Samantha carries the tray upstairs and walks upstairs on foot. She doesn't teleport because she is too absorbed to act like a normal human.

"Look what I have for you!" Samantha's cheerful voice from the outside of the room enters Morgan's ears. He immediately flips himself up and prepares himself for the worst. His heart is thumping loudly, worried that Samantha has found another way to torture him. However, his nose sniffs something savory. His mouth waters instantly as his stomach grumbles.

"Chow time!" Samantha announces.

A tray full of food greets Morgan. He swallows hard. His stomach growls in response to the presence of the food. His mouth keeps on watering as she gets closer and closer. The smell alone is provoking his greed for food and enticed him to grab a taste of the dishes.

'Shit! So much food. Is she trying to win me over with this meal? I'm sure they look disgusting just like her. What does she know about food? Are they even edible?' Morgan thought.

Morgan assumes that the food Samantha brings to him is something unbearable to eat, but his eyes pop out of his sockets to see them all fine and delicious.

"Here. I know you're hungry. So eat them." Samantha says, anticipation written all over her face. She is smiling at him, waiting for some compliment.

Morgan's stomach is rumbling so badly. It has been begging for food and his mouth is eager to chew them. But, thinking that it's Samantha, the devil, who delivers it to him, he suppresses his urge to feast upon them. It was too much for Morgan to resist the temptation of food.

"Go on. Dine them." Samantha urged.

Morgan shifts his attention somewhere. "No. Not eating. Not hungry."

His stomach growls loudly, interrupting them, and that was hearable for both of them.

"Not hungry, huh?" Samantha posts a grimace on her lips. "What do you call that? Come on, boy. Don't punish your stomach. Eat them. They're not poisonous."

Morgan furiously turns to her. "Are you deaf? I'll repeat. I'm not eating!! Not eating! Take them away!!"

Morgan suddenly extends his legs and knocks the tray down with his feet. The pathetic tray is thrown away harshly into a corner, foods and drinks scatter messily on the ruby floor, glass of juice shatters completely.

The excitement and anticipation on her face die out in a split second when the sight of her hard work is being wasted just like that. She can't describe the anger that rises in her heart. She leaps on him on the bed and strangles him. Her hand shivers from rage. Even her chest is heaving up and down uncomfortably.

Her reaction scares Morgan, but he doesn't disclose it to her. He let her strangle him without resisting. His emotionless eyes meet her murderous glare as he struggles to breathe properly.

"You ungrateful brat. Do you think I like you? You're just a pathetic kitten I want to pet with. You don't want to eat, huh? Not hungry? Then enjoy starving yourself!"

She yanks him onto the bed and storms out of the room while Morgan chases his breath with lingering fear in his soul.
