Chapter 8

The sun rise and glittered through Mia window into her face and she woke up.She immediately rushed out of bed to check the time, it was 8:30AM and she was to resume 9:00AM.She hurriedly took her bath,wore her dress then she left without eating or saying goodbye to the two girls who were discussing happily.When she got to work,it was 9:30AM and she was down because it was her second day of work. She told herself,if she keeps being irresponsible she will lose her job before it even began.

She entered her department and saw everyone looking intently at their computer screen then she asked William "what was going on".Then he answered her shortly and faced what he was doing before.Mia who couldn't still process what she was told just sat on her chair and pretended to be busy just like everyone else.When everybody was done with their work,they started discussing.Even though Mia was the only female among the other sux men,she felt comfortable with them.While discussing, Lincoln was looking at Mia which didn't go unnoticed by William. William started to tease Lincoln about his feelings for Mia

Then suddenly,a worker canlme in and gave Mia a big document.She opened it and saw that it was from her CEO to be precise her handsome devil God and he ordered her to create a game design so he could see what she can contribute to his company.As soon as Mia was done reading it,she was now focused in her I. computer screen creating a game design with the aid of Lincoln in some parts that were a but hard for her.

When she was done with there work,she headed towards Liam office.Immediatelt she got to the door,she felt a little bit of confidence she has been working on.Then she went inside with courage because she knew she did a perfect design.She greeted him and gave him her work.He looked at it internly as if he was looking for faults in her design then later he looked back at her.Only the look alone,the confidence she has been working on came crashing to the ground and the silence spread round the room.

He broke the silence and told her"your work is..."He wasn't able to finish his sentence when she replied curtly " I know you don't like the design,but I tried my best but if you are not still impress I will try harder the next time"and she said those words with pleasing eye.He know he wasn't going to get enough if this damsel in front of him then he quickly pushed the thought away and told her"who told you I don't like the design?".She replied"but you said"when she remembered she didn't let him finish his sentence and her face blushed red from embarrassment.When he saw her reaction,he smiled in his head thinking how this girl could be so childish.

After the meeting with Liam,she went back to her department with her teammates who were ready to go to the cafeteria to have lunch for the afternoon and Lincoln invited her.She agreed on joining them and they all went to the cafeteria.She took the time to know them all,then after the lunch,they headed towards their department and they chatted together before it was time for each person to go their separate ways.

When she was about to leave the office she met Liam who was also ready to go home and he lended her a free ride home.She hesistantly agreed,they car ride was a very long ride to her because it was akwardly silent only their heartbeat could be heard.If a pin is dropped it would definitely be heard because the silence was defeaning
