Chunin Finals II

The Kazekage was looking curiously at Hiroki as he asked Hiruzen.

"So that's the other Uchiha?"

Hiruzen noticing the other Kage's interest on Hiroki, just nodded his head.

"I guess that there will be one more interesting fight other than Sasuke's and Gaara's."

"Not only because of the Uchiha, but his opponent is from the Yuki clan of my village. Haku has a special kekkei genkai. She will not be an easy opponent for that Uchiha boy." Said Mei as she noticed that Hiruzen and the Kazekage weren't saying anything regarding her shinobi.

Hiruzen just kept looking at the arena and didn't reply. On the other hand, the Kazekage showed interest.

The crowd was bustling as they cheered and yelled for the two shinobi to start fighting.

"Come on. Start already!"

"Show us your sharingan!"

Hiroki and Haku hearing the crowd going crazy, just stared at each other. Haku was the most tense of the two since she knew that Hiroki was a capable shinobi and she could never underestimate him.

'He was able to deal damage against Zabuza-sama in the past and didn't suffer any damage. The fight, if you could call it that, was fast, but I could clearly see that he didn't even try hard. At the preliminaries, he was able to beat Kiri without breaking a sweat as well. I, for one, personally know how strong Kiri is.'

Hiroki noticing Haku being tense, just smiled at her.

"No need to be nervous, Haku-chan. Let's just enjoy the match. We don't need to kill each other and neither prove anything to anyone."

Haku became less tense after hearing Hiroki's words. She could see that the boy was not showing any ill intent towards her and what he was saying was the pure truth.

"Alright. Let's enjoy the match."

The kunoichi from Kiri, grabbed a senbon on each hand and threw them towards Hiroki. The first one was aimed at the Uchiha's left shoulder and the other one was aimed at his right thigh. Hiroki seeing the trajectory that the senbons would make just as they left Haku's hands, stepped to the side to dodge. Haku didn't wait for long as she started weaving hand seals as she ran towards Hiroki.

Ino, who was at the waiting room on the arena, crossed her arms in front of her chest as she felt a sudden chill and tried warming up her arms .

"Why is it suddenly becoming cold?"

"That's because of Haku's ability." Sakura replied to Ino, noticing another questioning look on the face of the platinum haired girl.

"She can use the ice element freely."

Shikamaru, who was watching the match and listening to the conversation of the two girls, became a little surprised.

"Ice element? Is there even an element like that?"

"From what Sasuke-kun said, Haku's ice is different from normal ice. It is completely resistant against fire and won't melt."

Haku finished weaving the hand seals and the ground, trees and side walls of the arena started freezing and getting a thick layer of ice on top of it. The ice went halfway up the arena's walls.

"Hyōton: Freezing Point."

Hiroki noticed that his feet were stuck on thick layers of ice and he wasn't able to move because of that. Haku continued running towards him as she grabbed three senbons on each hand and threw them. She aimed to immobilize Hiroki's knees and shoulders. The senbons made contact, but they fell on the ground after a clinking sound.

"It'll take more than that for you to beat me, Haku."

Hiroki's body turned into stones and crumbled.

"Huhuhu. When did he make a stone clone?" The Kazekage was holding the arms of the chair, looking intently at the fight and directing his question to Hiruzen.

Hiruzen also saw what happened down at the arena, but he didn't know when Hiroki made that clone. He only deduced the time though.

"He probably made that clone when he jumped down from the waiting area."

"Then he cheated!" Was Mei's reply as she looked down the arena.

The Kazekage looked at Mei and then turned back to the arena as he said his thoughts.

"It's not really cheating. There are no rules in these exams."

The Mizukage just kept quiet and didn't say anything.

Back at the arena, as Hiroki's stone clone finished crumpling, Haku heard a wheezing sound coming from behind her. She jumped sideways as she saw a shuriken hit where she was. She looked at the direction that the projectile came and noticed Hiroki standing on the wall of the stadium. Haku grabbed another six senbons and threw them at Hiroki, who took out a kunai with a tag tied to it, deflected the senbons and threw another kunai he grabbed from his pouch towards Haku. The kunoichi from Kiri was midair as she jumped away and Hiroki made a single handed seal and the shuriken he first threw exploded, blasting Haku to the wall from the force of the explosion. She quickly got up and moved from the spot she was. The second kunai that Hiroki grabbed from his pouch, sunk into the wall, where she was just a second ago.

The crowd roared as they cheered seeing the battle between the two.

"That Uchiha kid is very smart."

"I know. He waited for that girl to jump before exploding the shuriken and blasting her to the wall. But how did he manage to make a shuriken explode?"

"She too is not to be underestimated. Her ice seems to be strong. He needs to be careful."

The Kazekage saw the shuriken exploding and he showed an annoyed expression on his forehead since his nose and mouth were covered.

"Hokage-dono, do you know how he made that shuriken explode?"

Mei seemed interested on the answer as well as she looked towards Hiruzen, who just shook his head.

Haku saw Hiroki about to throw the first kunai that had a tag tied to it's end and quickly hid behind a large tree that was nearby as she noticed that Hiroki wouldn't see her move around in that area. Hiroki smirked as he saw through Haku's idea and activated his sharingan as he threw the kunai high up in the sky and waited for it to come down. Calculating the trajectory the kunai made, everyone saw that it would land right next to the tree that Haku was hiding behind. Hiroki weaved a single handed seal and the kunai multiplied by dozens as they were spread out above the tree that Haku was hiding behind.

Haku heard the wheezing sounds of objects falling and also heard the sound of the branches breaking. She glanced up and saw the kunais falling all around her. She rolled to the side to dodge as she knew that the kunais all had tag bombs tied to them. She heard a sizzling sound right next to her feet. As she looked down, she saw the tag on the kunai almost completely burnt and noticed that all the others were burning as well. She quickly made some hand seals and jumped away from that spot while crossing her arms in front of her as she got ready for the blast of the explosion, but to her surprise, neither came.

*poof*

The crowd of people were expecting a big explosion since there were almost forty kunais with bomb tags, but to their surprise, the bomb tags didn't explode. Genma, who was the judge of the match, had also jumped away from area. He then looked at Hiroki as he sighed in relief. That amount of tag bombs would have probably destroyed half of the stadium and injure the spectators as well.

Hiroki jumped down from the wall next to Genma as he laughed.

"Haha. Sorry, the bomb tags were fake. You can all calm down."

He then looked around the stadium and saw a few anbu standing in front the railings of the stadium seats.

'It seems that there are some important people here today.'

Haku for one, sighed in relief as she let her guard down.

"You shouldn't have let your guard down, Haku-chan." Hiroki said as he made the same single handed seal, making the closest kunai next to Haku explode. The explosion created by the kunai was three times stronger than the one with the shuriken. The blast sent Haku towards the stadium wall again and a large smoke cloud engulfed the arena, making it impossible for the spectators to see what happened.

After some seconds, a wind blew in the arena and cleared the smoke. The only thing left at the spot that Haku was, was a pile of a broken ice statue. Hiroki looked around and sensed Haku hiding behind a large stone near some trees. He threw two shurikens towards the stone and the projectiles curved around the stone as he guided them with a wire. Through the wire, Hiroki felt the shurikens making contact with Haku. He then leisurely walked there and finally saw that Haku had used a log as substitution. He then turned around as he made a shadow clone while the two made hand seals. Haku had jumped up in the air as she also waved hand seals.

"Suiton: Suihou no jutsu."

Haku spit a powerful stream of water at Hiroki.

"Katon: Hosenka no jutsu."

The original Hiroki spit nine small fire balls towards the water torrent at the same time as the clone blew a strong wind towards the nine small fire balls.

"Futon: Daitoppa."

The nine small fire balls increased in size and ferocity as the heat engulfed the stadium, making every spectator pull their faces away.

As the water and fire made contact, a sizzling sound was heard by everyone and a thick mist covered the arena. The spectators could only wonder what had happened in the end.

"What's happening inside the mist?"

"It's so thick that I can't see anything."

Inside the mist, Hiroki was able to not only see what was happening, but he could sense it too. Haku had used the fog in her favor and made an ice mirror dome surrounding Hiroki.

Hiroki looked around the dome and smiled.

"Nothing less than what I had expected from you, Haku-chan."

"Please take this seriously. I'm not trying to kill you, only to incapacitate you, so be careful. You might get seriously injured though." Haku's voice came out all over the inside of the dome.

Hiroki then saw Haku's image in each and every mirror of the dome as she held senbons on her hand.

"Then I'll also ask you to take this seriously, Haku-chan. I might seriously injure you as well."

Hiroki closed his eyes and opened them after five seconds. There were black markings on his face and his eyes became those of an eagle.

"Here I come."

Haku started jumping from one mirror to the other as she threw her senbons after each jump. Each time, she would increase her speed and this went on until she became a blur. Even though she was at her fastest, the senbons she threw at Hiroki, could not even touch him and would fall on the ground. It wasn't due to Hiroki using a kunai to deflect them. On the contrary. He was just standing there in place. It seemed that he had a coat around him that would prevent him from being touched by the senbons.

Hiroki seeing Haku's confused look, only smirked.

'She has no idea about nature chakra so it's expected.'

The barrage of senbons continued for some time later, but then stopped.

"It's my turn now, Haku-chan." Hiroki made a single handed seal as he sucked some air in his lungs and then blew it out as it turned into a huge ball of fire.

"Senpo: Katon Goukakyu"

"It's useless. My ice is resistant to fire... What's this?" Haku was surprised as her ice was melting and seeing the dome begin to collapse.

"Your ice might be resistant to fire, but this is not just any fire." The black marks on Hiroki's face receded back and his eyes became normal once again. The ice mirrors melted down and the mist began disappearing due to the heat from Hiroki's jutsu. The boy started walking towards Haku, who was down on the floor as she half kneeled and stood in front of her. He then crouched down and smiled at her. "I enjoyed the match, Haku-Chan and I hope you enjoyed it as well."

*Chuckles*

Haku chuckled and smiled as she looked at Hiroki while she continued supporting herself on one knee and breathing with some difficulty. Some parts of her clothes were also burnt a bit from the fire.

"I enjoyed it too. I knew that I wouldn't beat you, but I couldn't just give up or it would be disrespectful towards you, Hiroki-kun. Thanks for not injuring me."

Hiroki could only smile at Haku. He then stood up straight and offered the kunoichi a hand to get up. She grabbed his hand and he pulled her up. Genma quickly walked towards the two and was relieved as both were alright. He didn't really know what had happened inside the mist, but he knew that the two didn't stop fighting when they were inside it.

"So, have you two decided to stop fighting?"

Hiroki nodded his head in response to Genma.

"I give up." Hiroki said as he looked at Haku and smiled.

"What? Why?" The kunoichi asked as she became surprised. She knew that she had lost and she was sure that Genma too knew she had lost and just didn't announce it as Hiroki's win because he couldn't see through the mist and wanted to make sure that they were fine.

"This exam has fulfilled its purpose for me . Ranks don't really mean anything to me. Anyways, congratulations, Haku-Chan." Hiroki then turned around and walked towards the waiting area of the stadium and then jumped up.

"Whaaaaat?"

"It ended like that?"

"The Uchiha boy was clearly the one with the upper hand all the time?"

"Why did he give up?"

These were the most asked questions by the spectators. They felt that Hiroki had easily won the match. He didn't even have a single graze on him and his clothes were not battered, unlike Haku's that had some small burn marks because of the explosions.

When Hiroki landed on the waiting area, Naruto was the first one to run up to him. He was angry and grabbed Hiroki's collar.

"Why did you give up? You clearly won. I wanted to have a serious fight with you."

"Hey, hey. Calm down haha. We can fight another time, Naruto." Hiroki said as he scratched the back of his head. Naruto could only cross his arms and walk away unhappily.

"Besides, there's Sasuke as well."

Naruto stopped walking and turned and walked back to look at the arena as he waited for Sasuke to arrive.

Up on the Kage booth, Hiruzen chuckled as he saw how Hiroki just gave up on the match even though it was clearly his win. Mei kept her stoic gaze and didn't say anything since she knew that her genin had lost in reality. The only one that had a strange look on his face was the Kazekage. He seemed to have many questions on his mind. Questions that no one could answer.

'This fight... You have surprised me again, Hiroki-kun. You could have killed her anytime you wanted if you had done the same thing you did to me with those exploding shurikens. What intrigues me is how you do it without a tag bomb and even the kunai that had tag bombs didn't explode, but only the kunai exploded after you made that damn hand seal.'

Genma walked to the center of the arena while looking at the spectators.

"As everyone saw and heard, Hiroki Uchiha has given up the match. The winner is Haku Yuki from Kirigakure. She advances to the next fight." He told Haku to leave the arena and the turned back to the crowd.

"Now, the only fight left is between Sasuke Uchiha and Subaku no Gaara. The Kages chose to wait for Sasuke Uchiha since many of you have great expectations for this match. The wait time will be ten minutes."

Right after Genma said that, a smoke cloud appeared in the center of the arena right after the sound of a small explosion. Once the smoke cleared, everyone could see that it was Kakashi along with Sasuke that had appeared. The crowd cheered as their wait was over. Sasuke's match was supposed to be the second, but due to Sasuke not showing up on the correct time, they postponed the match.

"Sorry for making you wait."

Kakashi was reading his orange book and then looked at Genma.

Genma saw the two and didn't know if he was happy that they arrived or angry because of their tardiness.

"Gaara, please come down for your match against Sasuke Uchiha."

On the waiting room, Gaara looked straight at Sasuke and the Uchiha stared back. The red head turned around and went towards the door and take the stairs instead of jumping down.

'Here's my chance.'

Hiroki went out of the door as well as he was behind Gaara. He was walking leisurely with his arms behind his head.

Gaara saw this and frowned a bit.

"Why are you following me?"

"It's nothing. I just noticed that there are two inconvenient guys here. I'm going to send them away before you kill them." Hiroki said as he went past Gaara. Two shinobi from another village blocked their paths, but they fell to the ground instantly without anyone touching them.

"Oh yeah. Before I forget,..." Hiroki said as he turned around to look at Gaara and his mangekyo sharingan was completely activated, making Gaara freeze for a second

"...don't destroy the village."

Hiroki deactivated his mangekyo and pat Gaara's shoulder as he walked past him.

Gaara frozen motion state was over and he felt that something was off. He saw the two shinobi on the ground and then looked back towards the stairs and didn't see anyone. He shook his head a bit and then continued walking towards the arena.

As Gaara and Sasuke stood in front of one another, Genma started speaking.

"The rules are the same as in the preliminaries. The match goes on until one of you dies or admits defeat. I can stop the match as well if I see that any of you are unable to fight any longer. Since that's that, let the match begin."

Genma stepped back as he finished.

Gaara was the first one to make a move. The sand in his gourd started coming out, startling Sasuke, making the Uchiha jump back. Just as Gaara was about to make another move, he grabbed his head in pain and started to slightly shake.

"Please don't get so mad... mother... I'll make sure to give you a blood that will taste good."

Gaara's shaking stopped and he began breathing with some labor. He then looked menacingly at Sasuke.

"Come on."

Gaara's sand started shaking and moving around him as he stayed in the same spot.

"Here we go!"

Sasuke grabbed to shurikens from his pouch and threw them at Gaara. The sand blocked the projectiles as a sand clone of Gaara grabbed them between his fingers. Sasuke started dashing towards Gaara and sand started flooding from the sand clone as it went towards Sasuke, who jumped in the air. He then grabbed two more shurikens and threw. The sand clone threw two sand shurikens, intercepting Sasuke's. The Uchiha used his momentum to kick the clone, which place it's arms in front. The kick destroyed the sand arms and Sasuke then gave a backward punch on the clone's neck. The sand started converging on Sasuke's arm, but the Uchiha quickly palmed the clone's head, destroying it and making the sand disperse away from him. Sasuke grabbed the chance to punch Gaara's face, but the red head quickly made another sand wall in front of the punch. Sasuke smirked and changed the position of he feet and disappeared. He appeared behind Gaara, and the genin from Suna quickly turned around, only to get punched to the face. He didn't have time to react against it.

Sasuke looked at Gaara who had flown from his heavy punch and was still on the ground while getting up.

"That's the sand armor, huh. Come on!"

Sasuke put his right hand in front of him and motioned his hand for Gaara to come at him. He waited a bit and saw that Gaara wasn't moving.

"If you're not gonna come at me, I'll go to you!"

Sasuke dashed towards Gaara, creating a dust cloud on his tracks. Gaara his sand to protect his front, but Sasuke quickly went around it with his speed. Gaara saw this and split his sand to attack the Uchiha. Sasuke went around the sand once again and kicked Gaara on the stomach, making him go airborne. His sand went behind him to protect him from the fall.

"What's the matter? Is that it?"

Sasuke looked at Gaara and saw that he was perfectly fine.

"That armor... I'll tear it off."

Sasuke dashed once more towards Gaara, but he was much faster this time. He had lifted all of his seals on his limbs. It was hard for the untrained eye to see him as he ran circles around Gaara. The red head made a sand circle around him in mid air and spread it out to make some distance between him and Sasuke. The Uchiha noticed that there was no sand on the ground and quickly went under it with a flip. He kicke Gaara's face and quickly grabbed the strapping of his gourd, making Gaara stay in place while kneeing his opponent on the stomach. Gaara flew away once more as his sand followed him.

The two looked at one another. Gaara was breathing with some labor and Sasuke was starting to breath with some effort.

Unlike the other matches, the crowd was paying attention and they didn't speak one word nor did they cheer.

Naruto was standing next to Hiroki and he was happy seeing Sasuke's match.

"Sasuke is that fast already?"

"Yeah. He's lifted all the seal levels so this should be his original speed. He's not even breathing hard after all of that. I guess it paid off. You better kick it up a notch if you don't want to stay behind. Haha."

"Shut up. I'm confident that I'm stronger than him. My speed is not slower than his. And I also have the rasengan and the summoning contract with the toads."

"Well, don't think that Sasuke doesn't have a cool jutsu as well."

Back on the stage, Gaara got up and made a hand seal, startling Sasuke. The sand started moving around him in a sphere shape that covered his entire body. Layers and more layers of sand kept increasing on the sphere, hiding Gaara completely inside it. Sasuke seeing this, began running towards Gaara as he readied a punch. Just as Sasuke's punch landed on the sand sphere, sand spikes came out as it cut Sasuke's knuckles and cheek, making blood trickle down. Sasuke's only option was to jump back otherwise he would get even more injured. As the Uchiha jumped back, the spikes returned to the sphere.

Sasuke activated his sharingan as he tried seeing how he could counter that sand sphere. He then noticed some sand forming circles on top of the sphere and then turn into an eyeball. After checking the sand sphere with his Sharingan, Sasuke ran towards it as he tried striking it, but the spikes came straight at him. He dodged the spikes and struck the other areas, but it was no good since more spikes would rise from the sand. Sasuke could only jump away after a while.

"It's just as I thought. There's no way through that thing. If he's going to stand there unmoving, I'll use that since it takes a while to charge it up."

On the waiting area, Hiroki went next to Haku and talked to her for a bit and then began leaving through the door. Naruto seeing that, could only ask.

"Oy, where are you going?"

Shikamaru, Sakura and Ino were curious as well.

Hiroki turned back and looked at Naruto and the others as he answered.

"I'm going to the bathroom for a while. I'll catch you guys in a bit. Tell me what happened later."

He then continued walking outside the room. He spread out his chakra to his surrounding to make sure there wasn't anyone nearby and hiraishined to his apartment.

"Suna and Oto should be approaching Konoha right now. I'll make some clones and have them do henge. They should be enough to help out the villagers and take them to the safe places prepared beforehand. I'm sure that the old man has already given the order for his anbu to stay vigilant, but there more help there is, the better. I'll also have a clone check the academy. That should be the most important spot." Hiroki made around twenty clones and had them turn into different people, male and female. He didn't want to leave any hints that it was him. He then summoned Hakutowashi and gave the eagle the mission of relaying a message to Jiraiya.

"The only thing left now is to get some proof against Konoha's biggest bastard of all times."

Hiroki then Hiraishined to Danzo's hideout. To be more specific. It was Danzo's office. When he got there, he noticed that there wasn't anyone inside. Not Danzo and not even his root anbu.

"This makes things easier. Let's look up some files."

Hiroki began searching the drawers and shelves while reading each and every scroll or sheet of papers inside Danzo's office. He had seen most of these papers in the time line he was originally from. The only job he had was to collect the ones that incriminated Danzo, specially the Uchiha files regarding the plan to use Itachi to kill his clan members, the files on Orochimaru's research using Hashirama's cells to make Danzo a new arm and implant the sharingans onto it and also the assassination attempts on Hiruzen.

Some minutes later, Hiroki felt memories coming to him.

"Sasuke's match is over, Suna's and Oto's attack has already begun. Unfortunately for them, things won't play how they had expected."

Hiroki Hiraishined above the Hokage monument and saw that the battle between Hiruzen and Orochimaru already started. He looked at the village walls and saw the Ino-Shika-Cho trio began fighting against Orochimaru's snakes. Jiraiya was helping them as well.

"Can't keep him away from a battle like this. But he sure will be overkill."

Hiroki made a few hand seals and a humongous smoke cloud appeared. Just how quickly it appeared, it also disappeared as strong gusts of wind blew it completely away.
