The truth

<Author here. Just want to say that I will change the pov of the story. We have been following William all the time. But I will try to make it an omniscient pov so the story will MAYBE get better in writing. Thx for getting this far.>

William and the soldier went on their way to the sergeant's Mathew cabin.

"Sergeant Mathew, I have trainee William here for you."

"Come in." The sergeant was sitting on his chair behind a desk. On the other side was a character William just got to know. Douglas Moore. When seeing William come in Douglas looked at him and gave him a sly smile and a soft laugh.

"Sit down William." William followed the order and sat down on the chair next to Douglas. There was a moment of silence which was quite uncomfortable for everyone there.

"I just got some very serious accusations here from trainee Moore about some of your actions William. Do you have anything to say about that?" Sergeant Mathew said while looking at William with a curious look as to how he would react to this development.

"Yes. Me and trainee Moore ended up in a discussion after today's training as to which weapon is the best. He said it was the Ax and I said it was the sword. The argument got so heated that we ended up in a small skirmish." William wasn't stupid. He knew Alex didn't want to get involved with this Moore person so William left him out of his story. Listening to these obvious lies Douglas was losing his patience on his seat.

"That is a total lie, sergeant. After today's training he went directly after me to beat me saying he had some unfinished business that I am unaware of." Douglas lied to. The question was. Whose story would the sergeant believe?

"Trainee Moore, leave us alone for a moment. I want to speak to trainee William alone for a moment." Sergeant Mathew gave Douglas an order that he couldn't reject. Dejected, Douglas left the Cabin and went to wait outside.

"So, I have already heard Douglas's story. I know it's a lie. Why don't you tell me what really happened? Of record, of course." The Sergeant wasn't dumb. Of course there would be infights between the trainees at the training grounds. This wasn't something new. But what he really was interested in was William. The Captain already informed him about this trainee and asked him to keep an eye on him along with the teacher he would choose.

"So you won't account for the story I tell now? Is that correct?"

"Think of it as a little make believe story."

"Okay. So after I was informed of the Survival Task that we will take part in after tomorrow I wanted to invite a friend of mine who is at the Ax training grounds. Getting there I wasn't able to find him. Curious about where he went I asked some of the trainees there for some information. They told me he went with some friends to the track course. I went there in hopes of finding him and inviting him into my group. But instead I found my friend beaten and bruised on the ground with two guys holding him down and Douglas squatting in front of him telling him something." William told the whole story. He didn't have anything to lose as he understood the situation. Of course, that is taking into account that nothing would happen to Douglas. His family was really influential at the Village. If something were to happen to him his family could really turn his life into a living hell. But William didn't know that.

"So what did you do after seeing your friend in that situation?"

"I went to help him and take him to the nurse for treatment. But…"

"They didn't let you. Did they?"

"Yes, they blocked my exit and wanted to beat me instead. So seeing them initiating a fight I had to protect myself."

"Seeing as there isn't a bruise or a scratch on your body is it fair to assume that you beat them with overwhelming strength?"

"..." William did not answer this question. He did use his Ki mode in the fight since he knew he wast able to win a three on one fight with his current strength. The Ki mode made it possible to react at the last second to the tackle of the two goons. But he still got hit because of his lack of experience in a fist fight.

"Okay. I have heard enough. I won't punish you nor will I punish Douglas. We will leave it as an unlucky occasion." Sergeant Mathew didn't want to punish either of them. William was a very promising trainee while Douglas Morre had the backing of his family.

"You can now leave."

"Thank you."

After leaving William gave a last look at Douglas before heading to his Cabin.
