Chapter Twelve ~~~ Unfortunate betrayal

Everyone was glad that Yuma came back safely. They all started to show off how strong they became. Yuma was amazed to how all of his friends got strong in so little time. But everyone else wanted to see how strong Yuma became. Daniel offered to spar with Yuma. He kindly agreed, Yuma was to go full power. Daniel fired a spell that would knockout everyone else exept Alex and Liam, because they were the strongest, but Yuma took the attack head on, he didn't even fazed.

- You'll have to much better to hurt me, old man...

Yuma said mocking Daniel. Theo and Nikka saw a demon in that moment. Yuma's smile, posture, and his massive sword he called apon from thin air. Daniel was clearly taunted. Yuma amd him are not on the best of terms, they argue and fight all the time but deep down Daniel is like a father figure to Yuma, and Yuma is like a second son to Daniel. He unleashed his most powerful barrage of spells. Yuma dodged, jumped in the air ready to use Forgotten Inferno on him. Daniel foresaw that attack as his brother told stories about a hero who can defeat an army with that spell, he figured it out it was Yuma who went back in time, and he anticipated the attack. That barrage was a decoy. He summoned his sword Excalibur and he charged at Yuma. A second before they struck each other Alex apeared Infront of them they stopped the fight. Saying sorry to one another for what they did and for what they've said. They couldn't finish an army of mages with a woman leading it entered the training grounds. The woman was tall with black long hair, and very attractive. Her black clothes depicted her as a widow. Hance her name. General of the Forth legion. Night Widow. Daniel already suspected that they had a traitor among their ranks. Everyone powered up for a fight.

- The Night Widow is mine. Do not get near her.

Daniel said.

- Now that we know that there is a traitor, you should go to your side.

Everyone looked at Daniel clueless to what is happening around them. Yuma got visibly furious, he started to shout at Daniel for thinking that someone would sell them out. Suddenly Keres stepped out and she went to the other side. Daniel shakes his head thinking how stupid Yuma actually is.

- Hello Keres, it is a pleasure seeing my daughter after such a long time.

Night Widow said with a pleasant voice. Yuma was speechless. The who he tought understood him the most has betrayed him. His face was expressionless. It was like his soul left his body.

- Now it is finally time to kill all of you ants. I hated you from the moment i met you, but i hated you Yuma the most.

Keres said with an evil grin on her face. She charged at Yuma with full strength in order to kill him first, since he was the greatest threat, being the heir to the throne of Pyro. As she was about to slice off his head he didn't move a muscle. He forfeits his life tothe one who betrayed him. To whom he loved the most. Daniel pushed him out of the way but his arm got cut off in the process.

- You fool, get a hold of yourself! We need you now more than ever.

Daniel said while he was laying on the ground. His eyes closed and he fainted. Thinking he died Alex and Yuma went berserk with their mana. Even the Night Widow herself flinched due to enormous amounts of mana being conjured and released.

- Everyone!!! Take care of the soldiers.

Alex shouted full of rage.

- Me and Yuma will take care of those two.

They all just nodded and Yuma and Alex powered up to an extent that neither of them knew it was possible. Night Widow tried to back away but as she did Yuma followed with a fury of strikes and slashes with Muramasa. His eyes full white, the pupils weren't visible due to the rage. Night Widow needed to go full power in order to slow Yuma down. She slashed Yuma multiple times with her enchantment magic but he got up no matter how many times he got cut down. Blood was everywhere, it came from his eyes, nails, hands, and even ears. She slashed him with a sort of red enchantment spell and she left a massive wound across his upper body. Thinking she killed him, she smiled, but her smile quickly became a different expression. She felt fear and pure malice from Yuma. In that time Alex was beating Keres non stop. She couldn't even breathe in and she would get punched or kicked. Others were obliterating the mages that came with them. A fifty of them and they were all either killed or incapacitated. Night Widow shouted to retreat, and somehow they did. Yuma woke up few days later and next to him was Daniel, crying thinking he would never wale up again, but when he did Daniel just hugged him and told him to never do something foolish like that again. Soon everyone entered the room to check on Yuma. They all admired their strength, but Yuma started to cry again after seeing that Daniel is missing a hand. It was all because of him. He felt such despair like never before. In his eyes he was the failure, the worst person on earth.

- Don't cry, Yuma... I promised your father i will protect you with my life, and i am proud to see you becoming such a strong fellow. Besides now i look badass!

Daniel said while smiling. Everyone started to laugh, even Yuma, through his tears he smiled a little before saying sorry all over again. That went on for a couple of hours, but eventually he stopped, knowing even greater danger awaits them in the future.
