Chapter Five ~~~ Vortex

After they arrived at the bottom of the mountain the class set camp near a very big lake. Not a minute passed and the students were at the lake drinking and having fun. Yuma and the crew found a little cliff to jump off from. Yuma, Alex and Edward knew how to professionally dive. Others were diving on their legs and butts, exept Theo who wanted toleard to dive head first. But unfortunately he could only manage to do a belly flop instead. So everyone would cry of laughter, even Theo. After about an hour a guy came to the cliff wanting to dive to, but only Yuma seemed to know him.

- My name is Nika, it's nice to meet you guys.

He said.

- Can i dive with you guys, it's boring everywhere except here?

Everyone was confused to as why he was even asking.

- Course' you can man, why do you even ask such questions?

Edward asked.

- Yeah! We're not some kind of mafia for you to be concerned would we let you hang with us.

Alex said while laughing. Nika was overwhelmed with joy hearing that he is accepted in a group of friends. The rest of the day the crew drank and had fun like no one did ever. There was one more girl that was with them. A short gal with very long blonde hair. Her looks were soo stuning that she could not be in group of guys because everyone would constantly hit on even though she makes it clear that she wants to concentrate on her career as an artist. But in this specific crew they only saw her for who she is inside and no one hit on her, even Theo who was in love with her, didn't try anything to win her affection. Her name is Lucia. When the night fell the studends lit a few fires in the camp to sit beside and to cook the sausages and Marshmellos.

But suddenly when everyone had fun, everyone blacked put and woke up deep in the forest by themselves. Only Yuma and Theo weren't alone, Yuma woke up next to Nika and Theo next to Lucia. Yuma tried his phone immediately but there was no signal. All of them shrugged it off thinking they were just drunk and wondered off from the group. As everyone went deeper in the forest the heard screaming and growling. Suddenly before Yuma and Nika apeared a giant black lion with red eyes. They were confused as to why would a lion be in the forestof the mountain in Europe. Yuma stood up to fight the beast despite Nika telling him that they should run away.

- If i can't defeat this threat i cannot hope to save Pyro!

Yuma shouted at the top of his lungs. Nikka was very confused by what Yuma was saying. For the moment it seemed like the lion and Yuma were equally matched, but rather sooner than later the lion stroke Yuma in the chest and he went flying. The blood spilled from both of his chest and hand. In the mere second before Yuma was attacked he tried to block the incoming strike with his Dragon Dance martial art but it was nearly enough to make him not die. Nikka was amazed with the strength of a young hero. Yuma couldn't get up, the lion went for Nikka next. He knew that he would die and before the strike he turned to Yuma and thanked him for letting him be the part of their crew. Suddenly before the lion stroke Yuma apeared to have blocked the attack with speed and precision. Nika stood speechless. Yuma had a hole in his chest and he was smiling. The wound on his chest started to heal as the particles of apeared on top of it. Yuma remembered that his magic was unlocked now.

-I have always wanted to say this!

Yuma said before he shouted

- Go Vortex!!!

Yuma staretd to conjure more fire and he was spining in circles creating a some sort of fire tornado. It was a move from his favorite show on the television about ninjas. He stroke the lion with so much force that he killed him instantly. The lion bursted in a million pieces and he blood started to fall like rain on Yuma. Nika looked at Yuma standing in that rain of blood lighting a cigarette with such admriration as you would look at an anime hero standing after the great battle. Yuma thought about not killing the beast but it was no ordinary lion it was conjured with magic, and he could somehow feel it. There was no way of getting out of the situation without taking the life of that beast. Nika asked Yuma aboit the the fight and how he could use magic. Yuna explained everything to him. Nika felt a responsibility to help him.

- Is there any chance i can go with you on your quest?

Nika asked Yuma with a smile on his face. Yuna hasitates because it was very dangerous, but he saw the will in Nika's eyes and he just nodded. The two young teenagers went on to find others. But that was not the end of the trouble for the crew. Theo is walking through the forest with Lucia, chitchatting and having a few laughs when suddenly the also heard a roar and a bear appeared beflre them. It was very similar to the lion Yuma fought. The bear hovering over him Theo's only thought was to run away but he couldn't with lucia near him. He started sweating all over and he was prepared for the worst...
