Chapter 127: Folds of Flesh

Sage found himself babysitting the triplets. He can't believe what just happened. Just like Cyprus he became the fifth pillar of Rapha and the triplet's third godfather. The first would be Kish and the second one was the Glockenspiel heir. Sage can smell a mysterious clot of blood brews within the young man.

Sage vanished the familiar spirit hanging around the maiden named Lehi. He is familiar of that shadow since it's his another personality. Thanks to Kish and Sotai's aid the vanquishing was successful.

Kish observed how Lehi interact. He looked back at their first encounter and recalled how she addressed him as grandfather. Kish can't hide his excitement. Does that mean he will also fall in love? He will also form a family and will plant a numerous descendants?

Lehi waved at him as she exit the palace. Kish heared that a commotion is causing a riot at the Uri forest.

Uri forest was known to be the garden tree of all season. It's the land with the most fertile soil and trees. When Kish inquired about the area and problem.

Cyrus said that it was caused by a white flame that invited the rain to flood the area. Urchin is playing with the baby and Sage when his eyes suddenly shut. His veins got highlighted and spoke.

"I have come to retrieve you, Young priest. I will surely devour your lovely duckling."

Urchin opened his eyes and talk about the figure he saw. It was the same person that haunted Kish since childhood. Kish requested to suddenly join the assignment which was reckless. Sage also volunteered but Cyrus sent Cyprus with the young priest.

Sage sulked as he guard the babies. He wanted to be in the battle field. Evi came to escort Natalina and was able to feel how pouty and grumpy Sage was. When she lend an ear to his list of complaints. Evi just muttered an answer that made his ego beamed.

"Well your reliable to be here, just in case something happens within the palace."

He started to sing and merrily laughed with children.

Ain felt like the flood was just produce to catch their attention. There were no casualties, the soil just got damped. The rumoured white fire did not burn anything. Ophir had this voice in his mind to never let Lehi be out of his sight. So he tightly held Lehi's hand as they surveyed the land. Kiel made a comment as Hexel and Nevi teased his enviousness.

"This is a mission guys not a forest date." Kiel pouted.

"Stop being jealous." Nevi and Hexel coed.

The wind suddenly went wild and the forest started to lose it's leaves when a four whirl wind approaches the team in four direction. Ain and Kiel got pushed back at the stump. Hexel and Nevi avoided the impact. Ophir tightly protected Lehi as the wind forcefully yanked her from him. Ain extend his index finger and cut the space as he resize the wind.

Ain's suspicions got confirmed. This wind is not from the nature.

"Dear seniors, I think we need to buckle ourselves. This is not an ordinary attack."

Ain yelled as he dodge numerous sparrow aiming toward him. Hexel sparred with his sword. Nevi just used his palm. Kiel used his cane while Ophir used his bones and Lehi used her comb.

A laughter was heared as the figure enjoyed the view. The Tale Bearers tried to locate the root and exact spot of the opponent but cannot find it.

Kiel use his cane and maximized the trees to shield them as they bloom again. The figure cursed when he did not realise that someone can speak and use the nature.

The figure suddenly got slammed on the air as Cyprus used his gift to kick him. The impact alerted the Tale Bearers and they all gathered toward Kish and Cyprus but the opponent vanished as soon as the smoke faded. Kish prayed for the forest to be restored and the whole area got reformed.

Kish informed them about what Urchin saw and confirmed that he knew the person behind this.

"It was when before I was born in that village. When my mother conceived me a lot of witches and sorcerers wants me dead. They all hunger and thirst to devour me. But my mother gave birth of me and save me by concealing me inside a lion's den. Before, in our era the tyrannt Wizard King captured all the pregnant women and had them marched unto the lions den but the lion that ate a lot of unborn child never touched me until I was found by the old man in the village and raised me."

Sage gasped when he realised the story. "Your the kid who was said to be the one to trample all evil."

Sage said in disbelief. He knew of that story where a lot of pregnant women got feasted by the beast just because of the Wizard King's fear of being dethroned.

Sage look back to his clan and when the child was born the meteor rain down at the wizard's throne and by the year after El Oathniel became a Kingdom.

The Wizard King was humiliated that a woman raised a new Kingdom that is more prosperous and powerful than their own.

Sage used to hate the idea that their place got overcame by this people but now he understood why. It's because their God can hear, understand and love. Kish wanted a private time with Sotai and Cyrus that dismissed the Tale Bearers.

Ophir's gut was right. The enemy aimed for Lehi. Does that mean Kish realised that Lehi is his descendant? From what Ophir remembered if their identity will get revealed towards their ancestors that person will immediately return to it's own era. Fear suddenly struck Ophir.

What will he do if he wakes up and won't be able to see his wife? Will the auto-harmony continues? What will happen to their marraige if Kish already found out that Lehi is his descendant, will she disappear?
