Coming to terms with reality
"All of you, give some random details on your lives. Random facts combined with names please. Because if this is a dream it is likely that these 'random' facts have something to do with my life and the same counts for all of you."
Pretty brilliant if I may say so myself. Also, since they still might nog believe this is real (just like me but better safe than sorry) they might spill some secrets about themselves that will help me understand these people better.
But first I need to take the lead and show that I am trustworth-
"Ill start. As you guys know my name is Kent and some random facts about me are that I always wanted to be an actor and I ate noodles as breakfast yesterday."
This asshole. Never letting me finish my thoughts. Anyway, both of these have nothing to do with my life, especially the noodles as I completely forgot they where even a thing. I have litteraly never eaten them, why would I dream about someone talking about them. This does not look good.
"Alright.. I am Jonas as you guys know and I have drawn a friend of mine a week ago and I am already a month sober off alcohol!"
They dont have to know that I am a month sober because of exams...
"Congratulations bro! Alright I am Clark and a random fact about me is that mine and Kents first name make superman!"

Alright everybody is giving facts about themselves but nothing has to do with my life except for some insignificant details (and Clark P studied biological sciences which is kinda interesting to know). Also, no one really shared something mayor. If this is a dream it is a very complex one, and until now a very boring one.
But...
I am starting to doubt that.
Too many arguments support that this is not a dream (if one ignores the obviously unrealistic fact that we are transported to some world in which a person (the king) can stop all movement with a shout).
I think it is the safe thing to fully assume this is all real.
Besides... if I am wrong than nobody will even know because its my own dream anyway.
Its a win-win.
Now onto the more important stuff.
According to this king there is an evil human kingdom called Kalon.
The king probably is not an idiot, so he must know that at least some of us will suspect the truthfullness of that accusation. However, assuming that this is indeed an actual king, I do not want to get on his bad side.
I will wait with asking for more details until the king actually assigns tasks to us. Until then I will just wait and see what he has to say to us. This could also tell me how trustworthy he is in providing information. And maybe another one of us heroes is less patient and asks it in my stead.
And... the abilities.
Let's suggest checking them when the others are finally done talking.
And maybe its best if I join the conversation a bit. Theyre talking about family stuff, and I have enough to talk about.

"Alright guys, I assume we can all agree on the fact that its best to just assume for now that all of this is real. So let's waste no more time and touch the orbs!"

No matter, let's see what this world has in store for us.
And get back at that 'trustworthy' asshole in the process.
"Kent, since you suggested it, you can go first. Please, its only fair, dont worry about us!"
"Alright, thank you Jonas I appreciate it! Let's find out what this ability stuff is all about! Sir king, we want to check our abilities!"

Knowing what your ability is through the orb allows your minds to take notice of them, but it also means that you will need some time to absorb the ability.
