Tainted truth

In this story you will follow Jonas Foll. This poor soul, along with six others, has been transported from earth to a world of demons and dragons etc etc, you all know it. Where this story is different from the rest is that Jonas is not the one with the worst ranking ability, instead he's the one with the best ranking one in the hero party (otherwise known as the 'leading hero' in the kingdom of Hestia). However, there is somehow another hero with an ability of the same rank. These two should have to compete about who becomes the leader. Unfortunately Jonas' ability will slowly drive him more and more to madness. Let's hope he does not do anything crazy. Let's hope the ones around him don't do anything that could make that happen.

7 heroes

Kingdom of Hestia, throne room.

"My king, the kingdom of Kalon is showing more and more signs of trying to go to war. With their potions they have a great edge over our army. In all humbleness, might I suggest summoning a batch of heroes? Your ancestors have always won their wars this way as well!"

"YOU DARE SUGGEST THIS? DO YOU NOT KNOW THE PRICE? I WILL HAVE TO SACRIFICE A CHILD OF MINE! ONE OF YOUR BROTHERS!"

"My king, please, I know. However, if we sumon the heroes too late we might lose!"

"I know! I already knew from the start of this conflict this had to happen! However this cycle must end after this war. You are my eldest son, you might be king one day. And you suggested murdering your little brother without much thought. You are not fit to rule. It will be your flesh that the heroes will wear. Guards, chain him."

"NO FATHER YOU CANT DO THIS!"

"I most certainly can. GUARDS!"

And so the king, with the help of the ritual book gifted to him by the last king, set up the ritual. A complex shape, painted with the blood of his son. In the middle the flesh of his son and that of exactly 9 children of 6 years old. Surrounding it lay all the bones of the ones that where sacrificed.

And thus the ritual commenced, with the king infusing the rune with his will. A big light lighted up the throne room, and like a beacon shone up from the castle signalling to everyone in the city (including, obviously, spies from other kingdoms) that another batch of heroes was summoned.

*A pub, in the Royal City of Hestia*

"Did you hear? The eldest son of the king went missing on a scouting mission to the kingdom of Kalon!"

"I heard, how shameless of them to even touch the eldest son, I hope he will he alright. But a batch of heroes has been summoned!"

"Yes I heard, how exciting! Last time the leading hero 'eye of the morning' was a legendary figure in this country, and his hero party was comprised of legends as well! I wonder who the leading hero will be this time."

The heroes. Seven people summoned from another world, they are gifted with one ability each. This ability, however, weighs significantly on the soul or body of the heroes. Thus, the heroes can only advance by enlargement of their soul of strenghtening of the body, and can only grow stronger for their rank by learning to use their ability in other ways or gaining artifacts.

The normal people of this world, when starting their journey to power, have to rely on luck to comprehend their first understanding in the case of mages and extreme discipline to create a good starting point in the case of warriors. This starting point largely influences their potential. And takes the most time to train.

Why are the heroes so important then, if all that they have as an advantage is an ability that replaces the hard work of regular people? Well the lack of a need to understand certain things or train certain moves means that the heroes can focus all their time on advancing their souls, and their ability already is a powerful base to their strenght.

Heroes are naturally powerfull, and advance quickly. They are the perfect elite squad.

And normally of the 7 heroes, there is one with an ultimate ability.

*Back to the throne room*

The king forces a kind smile on his face while he sees the flesh and blood cluster together forming 7 human figures. 'The heroes should never know what kind of monsters they really are. The people already think it is just some goddess that summons them and not this terrible ritual. '

The light is dissapearing and the figures are gaining life.

'It's time for the act. It's time to convince the heroes to fight other humans because of a war that I started.'
