Akio sat there as a magical blue shade started around him.

Akio felt his ears retract back into his body as his body was in a small stasis. He saw through his clutched eyes that he was surrounded in this blue shade. Unable to see even his own hand if he took it off his face. Lost in the void with his own thoughts.

After what felt like an eternity inside the blue mist cleared and akio sat on the ground with his still ragged clothes. Akio hasn't changed his clothes since he left his old city. Now after and explosion and his new.....

'WHY THE HELL DID I GROW AGAIN?' Akio panicked as he was looked to be about 15-17 years old.

[a grade upgrade is basically an advancement in your body, making it stronger and expanding life span and resistance.. You get it. As you only had the body of an 11 year old, the grade advancement inhanced your body to a more powerful form. Which, in your case is an older body.]

'What if I don't get recognized!? What am I going to do!?' He looked down at his body, his torn shirt no longer held and was now laying in tatters on top of his chest. His pants were luckily a very stretchy material, kind of like sportswear. They held on and were very tight like running in skinny jeans whenever he walked.

Looking at his changes he noticed that the small horns were now a little bigger as they now gave off a small hint of power. His tail extended once again and now barely touched the ground when he stood. He grew a lot taller with it standing around 6 foot. He's arms grew a little more muscular but not too much. like a high school athlete who only does football.

Initially once again he began to return to his camouflaged appearance. Except his ears were a lot bigger than what they originally were. Making his appearance more fox like.

'Ughhh, I really hate doing this. It makes me feel like I'm wearing silicone over my forehead and tail.'

[you should be able to not do this when your grade reaches 5. Grade 7 is the highest for humans and beastkin, but 12 is the highest for beasts and monsters. But doing so that early may cause a lot of confusion as reptilian monsters or any reptiles at all have been discovered here.]

'huh, ok.' Akio looked towards where the beast had fallen, its large body was laid sprawled out as a pool of blood formed around its mouth.

'why is the wolfs body still there?'

[For existences over 3rd grade, the world takes time to decompose the body. for 3rd order it lasts around a day before disappearing. It all depends on how much energy is being cunsumed. Right now it's probably full.]

walking towards the corpse he looked down at the wolf, laying on its side it was almost as tall as he was. The large canine was almost 5'7 on its side and even more if it was on its stomach. Akio looked at the beast with slight interest, wondering what its like to be that big. He turned around to start heading back to the town when he realized he was notably faster. he then remembered he recently leveled up and opened to check his new stats

After locating most of his stat points his walking speed alone was about as fast as his sprint from before. Akio figured out that you could walk at a normal pace if you just thought of it and speeding up just requires wanting too. As if it were muscle memory. Looking towards the approaching town along with its glowing outer city of farmers. The city guards let him through after a tiring conversation of who he was, seeing that he had a ring. So they had identification. They also saw that he was already within their contract, they let him pass.

entering his inn was an easy ride after that, looking out his window seeing the dark sky reflected by the orange light gave him a sense of calm, an emotion absent for a while. Taking off his clothes he turned to his remaining clothes and found none, he didn't grab any in his struggle.

with a large sigh, he turned towards his ragged pants and put them back on, Then alked back out of the inn towards the guild. given that he had no money, it was unavoidable and he needed some quick cash. opening the door the guild was now mostly empty as it was past the time to be drinking unless it was for an occasion.

"welcome back lad." the old man behind the counter smiled.

'refreshing' with a small smile he walked over to the counter.

"you said before that this was the place to turn in parts for money right?" Akio turned his head where a small panel containing his inventory lie.

"yes it is, we buy basically everything you have and we sell everything you need."

"okay" pulling out everything in his inventory except Wolfs Last Fang as it doesn't seem to be a material.

The old man stifled a small laugh, he was not expecting a 3rd grade material out of a 2nd grade 10 year old, and in normal cases would've thought he had stolen it. But seeing as how his grade ascended, gave him the answer. Besides that, no other fox beastkin has been in his establishment for weeks. So he knew it was that boy.

"I can give you 1 gold and 15 silver for all of this. The actual materials itself are only worth 40, but seeing you actually got a magic orb out of the beast makes it so."

"Thank you" Akio was quite relived to finally have some money on him, the loan didn't specify how much they needed to pay as the amount they used as living expenses were included.but the problem is is that Akio has no sense of money, so he decided to try and spend the least amount possible.

Taking the money, he walked outside and towards the nearest open shop. It took him a good 10 minutes to even find one as everyone else were sleeping, not ringing customers. The outside walls of the general store was filled with stone that when compared to the other stores made of wood, made it look old. opening the door he saw many shelves full off food arranged in rows down the middle. With the walls willed with swords and armor that were covered in rust. Walking down one of the middle isles, Akio saw many small clothing items. Taking a large blue shirt with large comfortable black pants, paired with a small metal chestplate and boots.

"will that be all" Akio heard a small voice squeak from behind the counter as he walked up. A small head poked up from behind the counter, looked at his items and went back down.

"uhhhh.. yes this is all." with a nervous grin akio replied.

"ok that will be 25 silver, 20 for the chest plate and 5 for the clothes." The small head peered back over, it was a young child who seemed around 12 years old. their long hair covering their ears and covered their eyes in a untidy manner.

nearing the counter the floor on the other side looked more like a make-shift bed than anything. not really a cash-register.

handing over the sum of money the kid demanded the head slowly went back behind the counter.

"have a nice night"

'okay... better not question it.' Akio took the clothes and the boots outside. The town was peaceful, with small fireflies around.

The walk back to his inn room was not interrupted as he walked into his room and put on his new change of clothes. Sitting down in the side of the bed, he laid out backwards and closed his eyes. Falling asleep easily for the first time in days.
