Chapter 22 Suicidal Child by the Ocean

The morning sun was particularly warm today, shining golden light onto the sleeping land.

But Shirley was in no mood to enjoy the day.

"Mom, is Norman home?"

"Not yet...You still haven't found him, have you Shirley?"

Shirley's fingers trembled. "Mhm."

"Oh no, I'm so worried about him..." Camilla anxiously said, beginning to cry on the other end of the phone.

Her crying further unbalanced Shirley's emotions.

"Don't cry, Mom. I'm sure Norman will be fine."

Shirley had endured many hardships with Norman for the past five years, she was confident that her son would be alright!

"Shirley...You've been looking all night, we'll have to get the police at this rate."

Shirley wryly smiled. The police would not bother with a missing person's case when it had yet to be 24 hours.

"Don't worry, Mom. You haven't slept all night. Please try and get some rest soon, I'll call you back later."

Hanging up the phone, Shirley tried desperately to suppress the panic in her chest.
