Nikolai shrugged.
"That's fine by me. So long as you'll always need me and have no reason to be intimidated by that ashole, just because he is Caesar's older brother."
"Nikolai…you didn't have to go this far just because of this. Do you realize how hurt I was? I'd really thought you were leaving-"
"I'm sorry," the alpha apologized and put him down to his feet in front of the hospital. "I'll be sure to take a different approach next time," he said, circling his arm over his shoulder to walk him into the building.
However!
"Yuri!" The voice was all too familiar, which made Yuri instantly tense.
Nikolai, on the other hand, frowned, his eyes darkening as he raised them to meet the gaze of none other than Roman.
He'd come straight out of the building.
Before he could move closer to Yuri, Nikolai stood in front of the beta, shielding him. "Don't come close to him." It was a clear territorial threat.
