The sincerity in Caesar's words was visible, and this made Adeline take a deep breath of relief.
She stared at him for a few long seconds before softly parting her lips. "Are you…are you really Caesar?"
"I am." Caesar gave a nod. "I never changed. I'm the Caesar you've known from day one."
Something sort of intrigue sparked in Adeline's eyes, and she tilted her head to the side as if searching for something in him. "Can you tell me what that was? The other side of you. What is it?"
"I'm a werewolf, Adeline. A supreme alpha," Caesar responded, never breaking eye contact with her. It was as if they were looking for something in each other's gaze.
Adeline's lips curled into a smile. "Can I see?"
