Change

After driving for almost an hour, Barney and Selena have arrived in the hospital.

They went straight to the room where the pervert was staying.

Selena was wearing a white shirt paired with jeans, she didn't put any makeup on as she wanted to look as simple as possible.

As they strolled along the hallway, Selena caught a familiar face. He had a white coat for a doctor, unlike their first two meetings. A folder was on his hand while a nurse was tailing him.

"Alejandro," Barney shouted from her side.

The man swung his head to their direction, looking so cold.

They stopped in front of Alejandro, even though he's rubbing his hand with the sanitizer the nurse gave, Selena didn't smell any alcohol on him, instead, it was his perfume, lingering around her nose.

She discreetly sniffed like a dog, talking one step closer to him, she finally realized what his perfume was.

Even though she was not in the country for so long, still, her friends had been updating her with the latest perfume they created and Alejandro is wearing one right now.

"Hi," she shyly waved a hand in the air, she masked her anxiety of seeing him with a smile.

Alejandro looked at her for a moment and swift his sight to Barney, ignoring her. And with his coldness, her eyebrow rose itself.

(What did I do?) she asked herself, wondering why Alejandro has suddenly given her a cold shoulder.

"Can Selena see your patient?" Barney asked.

Selena stared at Alejandro's coat and found out that he was a doctor. She sighed and look at him, busy discussing something to Barney. She could hear their conversation but her brain is not processing it.

Her eyes are stuck staring at Alejandro just like in the market. His aura, it's pulling her in.

When she felt a hand on her cheek, pinching it gently, Selena felt as if she has been saved from drowning. Heart beating so fast, she turned at the owner's hand and found it to be Barney, a confused smile was on his lips.

"What?" she asked, blinking her eyes to make sure she will not pace out again.

"Don't worry, you're not the only woman who's attracted to him," Barney cheerfully said after poking a finger on her forehead.

Selena massages her forehead and replied, "I am not attracted to him, he just looks like someone I know," she and Barney conversed as if Alejandro was not around.

"Who? Your ex?" suddenly, Alejandro joined their conversation.

Selena's lips twitched by his arrogant and bitter voice.

"No, my butler," even though Anders and Alejandro don't have physical similarity, she still said that to get out of the conversation.

"So, your ex?" Alejandro asked once again.

"No,"

"Someone you had a crush with?"

"No."

"That butler dumped you, didn't he?"

Selena's eyes went round in shock, she should not be offended but, she did since that's what really happened.

Felling irritated, Selena rested both hands on her hips and said, "No, you're the one who's been dumped!" she blurted without thinking.

Acting like her old self, a spoiled brat who didn't care about what she's saying, Selena felt guilty for lashing out.

"I can only hope for her to dump me, anyway. You can see the patient for some minutes. We will be outside. If he does something to you, just scream alright?" and for the first time, Alejandro smiled at her.

As her feet made its way towards the pervert's room, her mind was going crazy by Alejandro's attitude.

In the past, every time she lashed out, people usually stare at her, mocks her or get angry but, Alejandro didn't do any of that, instead, he smiled and said the words that confuse her.

She had seen some of her friends with their fiancée. Kirby and Anders had none stop talking about their fiancée or girlfriend every time they met. And the glow in her friend's eyes, the smile they had that could rip out their lips, those were something she didn't see in Alejandro.

(It's not my business anyway) she slowly shook her head, removing Alejandro's image in her mind.

Just like she requested, Barney let her inside the room alone.

The smell of disinfectant entered her nose, the room was small and has three bed, though only one was occupied.

As she walks closer, she saw the same man from last night laying on the bed. His face was full of bruises while his arms were bandaged. Seeing how he was laying there, with an innocent expression, Selena's blood started boiling, she was the victim yet the suspect is laying on the bed, getting a good meal. And now, she might end up in prison if the man who saved her last night will not show up.

"You!" she angrily called him out. Barney had told her who the man was, but she didn't bother to listen.

She sat on the visitor chairs a few meters away from the bed. One hand holding her phone while the other rested on her lap.

A vein popped out in her neck when she remembered what he did last night, the disgusting smile he had on his lips as he showed her his body.

"We both know that I didn't hurt you. The man who saved me was only trying to help, that's why he punched you," she said those words in a deep voice, trying to hold herself from killing the man in front.

A smile curved on the man's lips, he slightly got up and leaned his back against the bed frame.

"Who will believe you? I am injured and I heard the witness had fled. So, you can either pay me for the damages, emotionally and physical or you will end up in prison," the man admitted in a low voice, it was almost a whisper, making sure that it's only her that could hear him.

As the anger rushed to her body, Selena's eyes narrowed. She swallowed hard while her hand forms into a fist, her patience is running out. If she could, she would have beat him up to death but, she realized that his pathetic life doesn't deserve her jail time.

She let out a shaky breath as she pushed the end button on her phone. To make sure that her plan worked, Selena peeps at the screen of her phone. A victorious smile plastered on her lips when she finally got his confession.

"Mister, apparently, you don't know who you're dealing with. In the past years, I've learned how to deal with a pathetic people like you and honestly, even my cousin's monkey will not buy your story," saying that in a mocking voice, Selena played the recording. She could see how the man's face went pale, his eyes shining in malicious suddenly darkened, shocked that he got deceived.

"You! Slut!"

Selena's lips parted to let out a screech when the man suddenly got up and grabbed her.

Even though she has an advantage since she was not injured, the man was still able to overpower her.

He grabbed her hair and swiftly tossed her body away.

Selena doesn't know what to do, her hands were on her hair, trying to remove his hands from tearing her scalp. Suddenly, she felt her body lifting in the air, she tried to hold onto something but, there's just air around.

It seems like her movement has suddenly gone in slow motion, she knows that her body will either hit the wall or the floor but either way, she will get hurt.

She prepares herself for the impact, her eyes shut to endure the pain but, instead of feeling the pain, she felt a warm body saving her. Firm arms around her waist while her body pushes the person backward.

She heard a loud bump followed by a man voice groaning at her back, she didn't feel any pain but, she knows that whoever saved her must be in a lot of pain.

She tried to get up to look at him but, the man tightened his embrace around her waist and buried his face on her shoulder.

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you alright?" she asked with concern, she tried turning her face to look at him but, the man was not letting her.

"Don't move please," her eyes went round when she heard Alejandro's pleading voice.

"I need to check if you're ok," she tried moving but, Alejandro only tightened his grip on her waist.

"Please, when I saved you, my lower part accidentally touched your behind so, I have an erection now. I am really sorry, This never happened before so please stay until I calm down or Barney will beat me up instead of that man."

While Selena was processing his words, her eyes caught Barney kneeling on the floor in front of the maniac man, one hand holding the man's collar while the other kept on throwing a punch on the man's injured face.

With what just happened, Selena assumed that the hard 'thing' she was sitting on was not Alejandro's genital, so she didn't do anything but, now that she's aware of it, she could not help but blush.

She bites on her lower lips and tried to slide her body down his legs, after some time, Alejandro's lips moved closer to her ears and muttered, "I am good, you can get up now and I am so sorry again," she could detect the sincerity on his voice.

Selena didn't mind it, if Alejandro didn't save her, her spinal cord might have been broken by now.

Alejandro helped her to get up, he was avoiding her eyes and she understands it.

"It's fine. Thanks for saving me," she gratefully said and ran to Barney before he murders the man.
