Chapter 52: The New Team Abyss

The most powerful team, Team Abyss is known by all people in the base. And in the minds of everyone, the assault team should be led by the team where Sir Arthus belongs to. Also, due to the military rank given, lots of expectations were placed on the new members of the base namely Arthus and Adam.

But in all likelihood, neither of the two really care.

For these two, the rank given to them is like a decoration to their names and they don't feel any obligations to prove and fulfill anything.

That's why the two moves on their own pace and didn't even bothered to consult the directors in their actions.

And as of the moment, the two are waiting for the awakening of legacies of the member of the team.

After 2 days, a notification from the system finally arrived.

" The recipients of the awakening serums had completed the inheritance of legacy. By the effect of [ knighthood ], the subordinate's qualification had been improved. "

One by one, the six sluggish members of the Team Abyss finally left their rooms and went to the living room where Adam, Arthus and Jaya are waiting.

The image of the members are like people those who drunk their lives away and looks haggard to the extreme. Even Adam doubt what they had gone through by their looks.

Thinking of this, Adam felt happy for them in the bottom of his heart.

He only hope that the legacies they awakened are strong and hopefully rarer than the common soldiers.

Looking intently at the six, Adam is full of expectations.

In these 2 days, the base chief had been going back and forth to their house to talk about the assault team while Adam can only excuse himself by saying that Arthus is doing a ritual for the team to recieved their awakening.

Hearing these words from Adam, Base Chief Rhea was dumbfounded and immediately convey her wish to let Sir Arthus help other people from the base.

But unfortunately Adam is conscious enough not to divulge such method and said the script that they thought about the limitations of empowering others.

So, Base Chief Rhea can only sighed in regrets and think that limitations like this should be real as no one should be omnipotent enough to possess such capability to make thousands of people strong.

Then everything leads to this day, facing the few drained people in front.

Hearing Adam's question, the six can only reply in deadpan face, " Horrible! "

Everyone of them is still new to their awakening and tried to urge their abilities.

Due to lack of practice and experience, they struggle for a few minutes before they were able to display their powers.

Gil was the first one to transform in his awakened form as what people call when an awakened is in his full combat uniform depending on the legacy.

He was wearing a light armor with lifelike flames hovering around him and looking at the blood red spear on his arm you can know what he awakened as. Now the question is what rank the awakened legacy belongs to though Adam didn't worry that much because looking at Gil's majestic image, the soul he awakened should be powerful.

" Boss, I awakened the legacy of the Demon Spear, Ragdon, a very powerful general. "

"Congratulation. You did great! " Adam said his sincere admiration. Even with the blessing of [ knight hood ], having the chance to awakened such legacy should not neglect Gil's own qualifications.

The second one to awakened was Uncle Jackson. He is covered by Gold armor all over with a helmet looking like a Rhino. In his arms lays a huge broadsword and a heavy shield.

" Young boss, I awakened the legacy of the Great Guardian, The Golden Fortress, Awani. The image looks very luxurious though Hahaha. " Uncle Jackson said humorously. The big man should be happy to be clad in gold.

Arnold and Michael was able to urge their powers at the same time.

Michael looks like an elf with long ears and a brown light armors with a majestic long bow. The puzzling thing, he didn't have arrows though.

Arnold is much simpler and didn't even have an armor on but he looks like a martial artist and a pair of iron knuckles as weapons. He wore a white clothes usually worn by taekwondo players and to be honest, he looks like a character from street fighter.

" Hehe, Boss, I become an elf. "- Michael

" We can see it. What's your legacy kid. " - Uncle Jackson

" Uhm, I awakened the legacy of the Night Hunter, Eisher. A master bowman and a great nature magician. "

This man actually awakened a power with two profession, an archer and a magician.

Can anyone be as lucky as him.

Though some warriors had some elemental power but these are urge by other methods and the magicians can urge many types of magic accordingly.

In simpler words, warrior can only use elemental power but they can't command it flexibly and can only show output by releasing powerful energy from their bodies.

It is like a burst.

And Michael actually possess these two powers.

" Boss, I awakened the legacy of the Martial Artist, the Master of Qi, Dark Fist Madok. "

Nodding his approval, Adam is satisfied by the legacies that each of them recieved.

In offensive battle, the men of his team are good.

Now the women are still urging thier abilities and are having a hard time.

But this struggle is only for the first time and once they got the hang of it, they can urge their power instinctively and be in their combat forms.

After another few minutes, Samantha finally was able to use her ability.

And she becomes a war goddess with two scimitars in her hands and beautiful pair of platinum wings. The feather on her wings are sharp as blade and looking how heavy those wings are, Adam doubt whether she can fly at all.

But Samantha prove them wrong, with a gentle flaps of her wings she actually hovered on the air and had the initial experience of flying.

Amazing! With her ability to fly, she had a powerful means of escape.

As the women of the group, Adam cares more for Anna and Samantha's safety. Knowing that one of the girls had an ability to save her life, Adam heaved a sigh of relief.

" Look Adam I can fly Hahaha. " Proudly displaying her ability, Samantha showed off to Adam and the others.

" You are amzing Samantha. What other things can you do beside flying? "- Adam

" I can detach some feathers and manipulate them like flying swords. Also my scimitars are extremely sharp and my strength is 5 times that of the same tier. "

Is she an amazon woman? What a scary woman as a wife candidate. I pray for your future husband. 'A moment of silence. '

" My legacy is of the Sky Maiden, the Blade Master Serafel. " Samantha said proudly then landed on the ground. Thankfully there are not much decorations on the living room or it would have been a mess.

Anna is the recognized darling of the group and even Samantha is extremely protective of her.

And Gil and the others even show greater care for the gentle girl.

It took another half hour for Anna to show any changes. There was a flickering light on her body and her transformation seems to be more difficult than others.

Another minutes passed and finally a burst of light occured and Anna was covered in a golden cocoon.

Seeing the cocoon, everyone was full of expectations. With such effects, it should not be a weak legacy.

Then a crack emerged on the cocoon and with a strong burst of wind it shattered into pieces.

Inside, a young girl which looks younger than the usual Anna can be seen. She had blond hair and a very tender white skin which reflects radiance and she seems to glow.

The girl opened her eyes and a pair of starry blue eyes which seems to swirl with dusts glanced on everyone.

Even more shocking is the majestic breath of a tier 4 peak power that suddenly emerged.

Th-this!!!

Tier 4 peak!!!

After awakening her power actually advanced so much.

" Anna... " -Samantha

" This power is terrifying. "

" Even the base chief looks a grade weaker. "

After regaining her focus, Anna in her awakened form and she looks even more innocent.

"Ummm.. Is there anything on me? Do I failed to urge my power? " Anna asked nervously as she glanced at the dumbfounded people around her.

She then checked her body and lost her voice herself. It's not because off how she looks like but because of the power that she can feel in her body... tier 4 peak.

Adam regained his senses and smiled on Anna.

" You awakened successfully Anna and you even become a tier 4 peak. Maybe you can even become the captain Hahaha! "

" N-no, I don't want to be a captain. I-m good standing behind everyone. " -Anna

Hearing her words, everyone immediately bloomed a beautiful smile. Their little girl is still the same even with her strength.

But everyone then was stumped for awhile and checked a certain thing they neglected.

Their tiers!

Then they realized that they actually advance a major tier where Gil become a tier 4 primary while the rest become tier 3 peak.

Their transformation was very subtle and only resulted to a small scene that they failed to notice it as they were anxious about their legacies. Now, their joys are even greater.

" ahm.. I actually awakened the legacy of the Great Fairy, Queen of the Fairy Forest, Queen Laise. I-it's powerful. "

Adam then put hos hand on her head and said sincerely.

" You did great Anna. Now you have the power to protect everyone. " He said as he fondle the little girl's head.

The little girl can only shyly nods her head.

" Yes! "

Now it's time to prepare other things as assurance.
