On the Way to School (2)

As Johnathan was on the phone with the police, the other three were off to the side.

Kevin had a serious expression on his face but he kept looking over to the twins to make sure that they were alright.

Claire was holding Sam's hand a little tighter.

Sam uses his free hand and gives his sister a pat on the head in hopes to make her feel a little better.

Kevin realized that they both are taking this harder than earlier, so he walks right behind the both of them and gives them a hug and says, "It'll be alright. Your two big brothers are here to protect you. Don't worry, we'll watch over you."

Claire and Sam was reassured with their brother's words, but then remembered one of the incidents before the end of their dream.

It was only those two and Kevin who were still alive, while everyone else has already died. They were all running away from the safe haven that they were staying. When all of a sudden the ground starts shaking and the buildings around them start collapsing.

Parts of the buildings breaks off, falling down in their direction. Kevin as always is the strong one of the group in strength. He used his strength to catch the falling wall and then yells to the two of them to keep running, that he will protect them and for them to not worry. He will catch up with them later, but thats the last time they see him.

Claire is the first one to turn around to give Kevin a hug back with Sam following.

Johnathan finally gets off the phone with the police and walks over.

"The police say that they'll be here soon, we won't have to wait long. All we need to do is give them a statement then we will be able to either go back home or to school. Kevin, you go call mom or dad to tell them what happened." Johnathan tells them what's going to happen and gives second brother instructions to inform their parents. His phone gets passed over to Kevin and he makes a call.

"Hey mom, we ran into something troubling on the street. Do you want us to go back or go to school?" Kevin was straight to the point when he called and didn't go into much detail so they wouldn't worry.

When Sarah picked up the phone she was already worried as she remembered the conversation from earlier. "Are you all alright? No one's hurt? Are your siblings scared?"

As a parent she went into overprotective mode and started firing off questions, not giving Kevin time to even talk.

Once he was able to speak up he says, "We're all fine. Don't worry. We just found a little trouble on the road and called the police to report the matter. I'm just calling to see if you wanted us to go ahead and go to school or go back home."

"Mmm, go talk to your siblings to see how they feel. If they are uncomfortable and aren't feeling well have them come home. I'll call your school to explain your absence if any of you come home," even though Sarah was conflicted she went ahead and let them choose amongst themselves whether or not they wanted to go to school or not.

"Okay, I'll go ask them what they want to do. I'll message you back when I have their answer." Kevin tells his mom bye and ends the call.

Kevin looks over to the others, "Mom says that we can either go home or to school. If your feeling uncomfortable don't worry, I'll get your homework from your classes."

"You don't have to do that, we are both doing alright."

Claire and Sam weren't bothered by what happened anyway as they still were thinking about the dream they woke up from this morning. Nothing could be as terrible as the events that took place there.

Johnathan heard what they said and stared at their faces to see if they were lying. Seeing the determined looks on their faces he nodded toward Kevin saw him nod to he just sent the message to their mother that they are all going to school and not to worry about them.

Once this conversation ended the police finally arrived.

One police cruiser pulled up at the opposite side of the street from where they were at.

Two cops exited from the vehicle and walked over.

The one was a average height for a guy and had short blonde hair; the other one was a woman who is quite short with burnete hair that was pulled up into a high ponytail.
