Chapter 37 Enemy Attack 4
John strolled along the road, his pace deliberate and measured. He halted a mere 30 meters away from Mike, his gaze fixated on the captive figures of Olivia, Rose, and her bodyguard kate, all bound tightly.
With a swift shift of his attention, John directed his piercing gaze towards Mike, his indifferent expression accentuated by his ice block cold eyes. Penetrating stare seemed to probe beyond the shadows lurking behind Mike, sending a chill down the spines of his adversaries and causing their hair to stand on end.
Mike, however, disregarded this unsettling sensation and focused his gaze on John, his grip firm on Olivia. To Mike, there appeared to be nothing particularly remarkable about the man standing before him. He believed that John had merely caught his men off guard, and the notion of dodging bullets didn't even cross his mind.
