Servant Li 2

After I had Taken the pill given to me by the system, I took a walk down the residence.

It was refreshing, the breeze blowing through my face and the pleasant smell of flowers.

But instead I met with something I didn't expect.

Walking out of the 2nd Consort residence was a servant who seemed rather familiar.

He was the man who had delivered the pill to me in the first place but where was he going in such a hurry?

That was the question I had in mind until I saw another Shadow of another man, dressed in a black attire.. he had his face covered and looked like an assassin just like in movies.

And after following the servant for sometime, he finally attacked the servant and slashed his back with his sharp sword.

And in an instant, the servant fell down, bleeding and with that he was Carried away by the assassin.

Wow! For such a thing to occur in such a secured place I had to say that, this was quite surprising.

Curiosity took hold of me and so I found myself following the assassin as he dragged the slowly dying man away and placed him into a storage room and abandoned him there.

After confirming his departure, I then slowly made my way into the storage room as I found the servant laying on the ground, almost lifeless.

Bending down, I muttered, "Ah! You should have expected this.. They say Wicked People have no friends…. Not even the ones who help them accomplish the evil deeds. Say, I could save you right now but I would need a solid reason on why I should preserve your life even after you had tried to poison me!"

I said as I found slight tears fell from his eyes. He tried to speak but there were no sounds coming out but blood.

So I decided to help him with his words, "I will save your life only in one condition.. Help me ruin the man who tried to ruin me!"

My words were simple but held many meanings.

He accepted obviously and so I gave him one more healing pill given by the system.

I hated the fact that I had to help such a person who tried to kill me once but alas, you gotta do what you gotta do.

"But do know servant Li.. you must be prepared to expose your deeds and that of your master."

"S-servant Li?"

Consort Xi muttered shocked to see the servant who he was informed had died, standing in front of him well and ok.

"Your Majesty, I have something to confess!" Servant Li exclaimed as he collapsed on the ground and bowed on his knees, completely ignoring Consort Xi.

Seeing that, Consort Xi panicked internally, 'No way! He can't be alive! Right? He's supposed to be dead.. NO!'

Shocked to see the sudden interruption, The Monarch shouted, "How dare you insulant Servant disrupt the Monarch's business.. Do you want to die?"

"N-no your majesty, please forgive me for my behavior but I have to confess my sins immediately your majesty!"

Servant Li pleaded as Consort Ming then said, "Your majesty, from the looks of it.. it seems like a very urgent matter, please listen to his words first!"

He uttered as The Monarch let out a soft sigh, "Fine, you have Just two minutes to say whatever and leave!" She commanded and Servant Li did just as instructed.

"Your Majesty, my confession is concerning the healing pill… yes it is poisoned but it isn't poisoned by Mid-consort Wei," he declared leaving everyone shocked.

Including the monarch and the other main consort, while I just had a straight face, finally… I could finally stand from my knees, it hurt so bad.

"If it isn't poisoned by Mid-consort Wei then who poisoned it?" Consort Wei asked as hearing that, servant Li then pointed at The 2nd Consort Xi.

"It was done by my master!" He replied once again taking everyone by surprise.

"Y-you! How dare you lie against your master? How much did he pay you?" Consort Xi shouted as he was already red in anger.

"Lowly servant, what is the meaning of this? Are you falsely accusing your master?"the Monarch exclaimed as servant Li denied.

"N-no your Majesty, 2nd Consort Wei had ordered me to add some poison to the pill being sent to Mid consort Wei and make it seem as if he was Poisoned by 3rd Consort Wei out of jealousy!"

He revealed as I smiled slightly, That was the perfect sentence to use. By adding the name of my brother who is currently the Monarch's favorite, he had literally won his fight without even wasting much time.

"WHAT!? Is that true Consort Xi?" Questioned the Monarch but what happened next was something no one expected.

With a swift move, Consort Xi charged towards me with a dagger in his hands and the next thing Heard was the sound of the dagger thrusting into a body.
