Heading towards the only landmark in sight, both adventurers hurried their steps in hopes of reaching their destiny as soon as possible. Anne couldn't stand the dusty wind of the wastelands whereas Ryu couldn't wait to get a decent meal. It took them a while to notice that no matter how fast they walked, the obelisk wasn't getting any closer.
"Is it my idea or we're not moving at all?" Anne asked Ryu, who was already sweating due to fatigue. "How could I know, I was unconscious when they brought me and I have no clue where we're supposed to be. You, instead, came riding comfortable on MY pet. The least you should have done was keeping an eye on him and now somehow you lost him!"
"So now it's your pet, where were you when it was time to feed him, clean his poop or brush him? you suck at taking care of your pets." Anne scoffed.
"I just told you, I - was - unconscious!" Ryu emphasized his words in annoyance.
