The fight began, with Nova meeting Genesis head to head in order to throw punches at him.
Genesis reacted too fast, before Nova even threw the attacks, and even returned a few. He kicked out her ankles after pushing her arm back and then punched her in the face. It launched Nova back and caused her to wipe the blood from her nose as she retreated backward.
"You're going to stand in my way now, of all times?!" Nova screamed out. Her determined stare and frown pointed at Genesis would've shaken me to my core, but he wasn't affected by it.
"I can think of a good way to survive this, and it's turning around, and leaving Kire alone." He told her.
"Get real. I'm not an Asterio like you, I'm not stupid. I see through your deception. When my back is turned, I'll be dead, so, I won't leave this place, and I'll forcibly activate Kire's strands." Nova said out loud.
Genesis looked troubled, as his smile faded and his hands went up again.
"Any moves you aren't confident in would be a mistake to make." He said.
Before I knew it, Genesis's complexion lit up in color, his face growing a lighter color, his eyes going from blood red to a blue so bright I almost couldn't look at it, and brown hair that started to turn blonde.
His voice was distorted to a fault... on one half, it was manly, and on the other half, it sounded like that of a girl.
"Do your worst, Nova," Genesis said.
The two clashed with their forearms forming a perpendicular line to each other, and quick swipes from both of their fists.
Genesis swung his feet around, something Nova couldn't do, causing her to backtrack her attacks and work on deflection.
I couldn't be sure, but Genesis looked as if he was looking ahead into the future... exactly where Nova retreated, he was there. Everywhere her arms were placed, he was there. Everything she did, he countered.
It looked like a solid, fair fight until Nova threw a punch, and Genesis dodged, grabbed her wrist, and broke her right arm by punching her elbow.
Before she could retreat and recollect her thoughts, Genesis kicked her in the knee, grabbed her by the throat, and threw her into the side of my house, which collapsed the wall entirely.
"Not bad, you're almost as fast as your sister, Hikari," Genesis said.
"Don't be ridiculous, Genesis. Nobody can be faster than Avie." The girl named Hikari said.
Just as I made my toy knife with strands, Genesis held out his left hand and a human started to emerge from the strands... I didn't know it could make people!
Standing next to him was a blonde-haired beauty, one that had bright, blue eyes that I had seen Genesis possess. Now that I look back at him, Genesis's looks reverted back to their original, which meant that the change in looks must've come from the girl...
She wore a blue lab coat with a white dress underneath. She didn't have shoes, yet her legs weren't dirty from dirt or any wear and tear at all.
The girl who went by Hikari had twin tails and weird marks on her face, following her bright blue eyes.
"I understand the situation now, Genesis, on your right, she will launch a strand attack, approximately thirty degrees from your right shoulder. Hold your hand up and it will be dispersed." Hikari muttered.
Just as Hikari told him, Genesis followed her instructions and blocked an invisible attack that obviously came from Nova, based on her surprise.
"That damn girl, holding all of your intelligence within her mind. You don't beat me without her, that's for sure, Genesis." Nova irritably said.
"Don't be ridiculous, Nova. Not using what you're given in battle is a surefire way to lose. Even if I was fighting a child even younger than you, I would still use Hikari. And she would use me if she needed anything as well. That's why you don't have a companion, and I do. We're there for each other if the worst happens, and we help each other if we need it. You could've had something like with Kire if you weren't so pushy and ignorant." Genesis admitted.
Nova's eyes lit up with a malicious look and she ran at Genesis again. Hikari nodded to the right and Genesis turned his body in that exact direction, catching another strand attack.
With it in his hand, he returned it to Nova's chest, causing her to spit up blood and fly about four feet into the air.
She summoned the staff and Genesis held up his hand again.
And then, Hikari grabbed my shoulder and pulled me as fast as I'd ever moved before.
The staff slammed into my old position, digging up the ground, and kicking a rock high into the sky.
"GENESIS! RETREAT!" Hikari screamed out.
Genesis looked at her with a confused face, blocked one more attack, and jumped away from his previous position.
Hikari left my side, ran over to Inora and Ra, and grabbed my child as fast as she could.
"SYSTEM LOGOUT!" She screamed.
In an instant, Hikari and Ra vanished the same way she appeared from the strands, and the big rock flying in the sky came down, barely tapping the dirt, which caused a huge collapse of the ground we were standing on.
"Tsk, you would really destroy this landscape just to kill one of us?!" Genesis screamed out.
"GENESIS! Where is my son?! Is he okay?!" I yelled out to him.
"He's fine, he'll be safe, however..." Genesis turned his head down to look at the ground that fell apart, to reveal my wife, who had been cut in half by fallen rocks that were made sharp by scraping against each other.
I sat in disbelief, running over to her as quickly as possible, sliding by her side.
"Hey! Inora, you'll be alright, just look at me," I told her. I picked her head up, realizing that the rock wasn't going anywhere.
I pushed it, as hard as I could, trying to move it with all of my might, but it didn't even budge.
"Hey, dummy, come back here. It's scary being in this position, you know?" Inora told me with a weakened voice.
"I know, but there's nothing to be afraid of! It's your adrenaline running out, you'll be alright. Genesis will help us." I told her. I smiled at her teary-eyed face, and she tried to turn her head down to her stomach.
"There's nothing down there... don't worry about it, just focus on me, you don't want the shock hurting you more than the actual injury," I told Inora, waiting for Genesis to return to our side to help us.
"I just want to know, is the baby alright?" She asked me.
"Ra? Of course he is, Hikari took him and he's safe right now." I told her.
"No... I was waiting to tell you as soon as possible, but I'm pregnant... is the baby okay?" She asked me.
