Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? My Cover Artist's Twitter is @Bombyixmori, follow if you like their work! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Warnings: 1. Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

The Asterio Family Revealed

"You're okay? We were worried about you..." Shike said to her. Faith turned her head to Shike, then Belle, then Alexia.

"There was information revealed to me from the A.I. I have Avie, Umbra, and Hikari within me, and another I cannot place the name of that offers me even more power than them. It's about the Asterio family. Shike, Alexia, Sky, Zephyr, and Eirikr Asterio are the five children of Ali and Lucas Asterio. You are the purest Asterios left on Earth, and after me, they will be going for you next. I'm going to hold them off for as long as humanely possible." Faith said out loud.

The information she just repeated stunned every last one of us, watching in confusion.

"But... what about Dani and Belle? Are they... related to us?!" Shike shouted.

"Don't be ridiculous. They married into the family long ago. It's the same thing with Mom too. They married and became Asterios, but you five were born as Asterios. There's just one thing that still bothers me..."

At the same time as Faith ended, Alexia and I spoke up.

"Cynthia Asterio."

We said it at the same time, thinking about how it was a mystery of her origin. If she wasn't a part of the original Asterio family, how could she be connected to Sky at all?

"I have my theories... albeit far-fetched ones. Her eyes are the most outstanding thing to me. They almost seem too powerful for even her generation. Sky is a Pure Asterio, the strongest of his class. Then, there's Cynthia, who's even more powerful at this point with those Eyes. You'd think she would be related to him somehow...yet, she's not even in the family." Faith explained. She glanced at her left hand, shaking it as a symbol appeared on it.

"They're in the Americas, about three miles inward. I'm about to warp again, dammit!" Faith screamed. She turned to Shike and Alexia next, pointing at her necklace.

"Sky and Dani are held in Orbs of Pangea, they're called. They're wrapped around the neck of Dani's father, Oberon Slicious. The parents of the Arkians that reincarnated are not friendly and want to hurt you, do not be fooled by their offers." Faith said.

Within a matter of a second, Black Strands covered her body and vanished into the air, shooting straight up into the clouds to bring her to a mysterious place.

"Woah... this is serious. Those Rubeki vanished after Faith found you, Carl. Also, Red, it's nice to meet you. I'm Shike Asterio, apparently the biological brother of Sky Asterio. This is my sister, Alexia Asterio." Shike said.

I looked back to Red to see her face ignite in surprise once Faith vanished.

"Zephyr... Asterio...? That name... where have I heard it before..." Red said to herself. We surrounded her, hoping for her memory to light up once more and offer whatever information she had to us.

"Don't tell me even he's connected to this all..." Shike said. I understood where he was coming from. All things considered, the amount of people suddenly popping into existence was starting to get unbelievable.

As we surrounded Red, Faith appeared out of the sky once more, landing on the ground as if she dropped ten stories. Her body bounced and she cried out in pain while scrambling to her feet. She turned her eyes forward, and they warped into a solidified black color.

Her iris turned green and a marking appeared spanning across the bottom of her wrapped left eye. She turned her head upward as her eyes ignited in the emerald green, looking specifically at Boo.

Faith stretched her muscles as her legs reformed their previously broken status, moving forward with one hand above her head.

"You guys seem like a bunch of lost puppies, don't ya?" Faith told us. There was a certain hint of carelessness in her voice...

"You're back...we thought you warped away..." I said out loud. Faith looked at me, then scoffed.

"These are the people you begged me to help, Umbra?" She tilted her head back with an annoyed smile, holding out her left hand to summon the three A.I. sisters in front of us.

"Woah! They just came out of thin air!" Red commented.

"You begged for power, grovel, why don't ya?" Faith said. She was audibly different, both with her words and manners. All three of the sisters sank to their knees and bowed their heads to Faith. She smiled.

"That's more like it! So, there's something you want from me, isn't there? Go on, say it." Faith was locked into conversation with the sisters, not even giving me a hint of eye contact.

"We...want you to take care of the threats. Cynthia, Ultima, Netsu, and the parents with them." Hikari was the only one to speak, considering she knew how to get the results.

"Hey hey...you sure you want to ask in that way specifically? Things may happen if you give me those instructions, don't ya know?" Faith asked. She put one hand in the pocket of her blue hoodie and looked at Hikari with a straight face.

"The three people and the parents need to be taken care of. No matter what." Hikari stood her ground.

"So be it," Faith muttered. She turned to me next, looking me up and down, as if to size me up.

"Can you fight?" She asked me. Her face was straight and absent of all emotion.

"I'm quite capable, I'd like to believe. Everybody here is, I'm not sure about Red though." I told her. She nodded. Faith pointed at my chest and smiled.

"Then you will be her babysitter," Faith said. She held up her left hand, pointing it to the sky, and looking at Shike, Belle, Alexia, Boo, and Fudo next.

"Good luck," Faith said. Before I knew it, we all warped into Black Strands and were dropped in an unfamiliar place.

"Welcome to The Americas." Faith told us.
