"I won't lie kid... you are a lot stronger than people made you out to be, but I worry that it is all surface-level strength," Khalil told Sky. He let his hands fall to his sides, staring at Sky head-on as Ultima stood silent and waited for the other World Leaders to show up at their location.
"Surface level strength is all I've ever needed to get this far, to kill who I needed to, so what does it matter if it's all I have?" Sky determinedly explained. Khalil seemed irritated at his response, realizing the person he seemed to idolize was the same person others hated. Some parts of Sky Asterio weren't to be desired, and he witnessed them first-hand as they battled.
"I pray that you have lost yourself in a spur of bad coincidences and this isn't who you've been since I first heard of your revival," Khalil mentioned once more. Sky went quiet as he thought about the answer to that question.
In his silence, four other people slammed onto what was left of the ever-changing battlefield. At that point, all of Ultima's soldiers had evacuated the area, leaving Ultima alone with Khalil in a large circular crater made from the attacks in Sky and Cole's previous fight.
"So! I heard that there was a problem amongst us!" A voice rang out in Sky's eastern direction. He clanked metal armor together on his shoulders and chest, smiling widely with an enlarged canine tooth, a black eye patch covering a scarred eye, and fire swarming around his neck in the form of a scarf. It didn't burn him but looked hot to even stand next to.
"What a coincidence the next problem we have to deal with showed up on Ultima's shithole,"
"Mom! Language!"
From Sky's southern direction, two people with red and blonde hair cleared from the dust that shot out when they landed. The two girls, seemingly mother and daughter, had red hair, yet it was brick red instead of blood red like Ultima. It had been the only other case of red hair Sky had ever seen.
"Which one of you shit-sticks interrupted my wine?" Raiden asked out loud. In her left hand, she held a glass full of red wine. As it swirled, her green eyes changed into different colors of the rainbow, excluding red and purple.
"Woah... is that him?"
"Mom... he's real...?"
"Sky Asterio?!"
"Oh?"
The voices of the World Leaders all rang out at once in Sky's ears, causing him to feel a bout of anxiousness he didn't even feel while fighting Cole. It had to have been dread.
"Did he do this?" The world leader of the Oceanic Countries, Netsu, spoke up after a small bout of silence, slowly walking toward Ultima and Khalil.
"No, a member from an enemy group named Quake did," Sky explained to Netsu. He turned to Sky after he stood up for himself, and then laughed at the sound of his childish voice.
"You aren't Sky Asterio! You're just a child! Come on, seriously Ultima? You can't handle this?" Netsu asked. Netsu shot off a beam of fire from the palm of his left hand, swirling in the air as it closed in on Sky's position.
Sky held up his hand as well, launching an obelisk of ice at the swirl of fire that stopped and produced steam in the middle of the field. The other world leaders were all impressed with the ability Sky wielded to dispel Netsu's advances, and Raiden even clapped lightly with the wine glass in her hand.
"Impressive! So, this guy really is Sky Asterio... why is he so young? I thought you would've been older after four hundred years. And, what about that side-piece you always had around with you? The one with the white hair?" Raiden asked Sky. She sloshed around the wine in her glass again, turning her eyes blue in the process.
"Oh...? Dead? Sacrificed her own life to save yours? Gosh, isn't that the worst? Losing somebody you love? It's too bad you slaughtered the people we love all that time ago, meaning that we have no sympathy for a demon like you," Raiden explained. From the wine glass in her glass, Raiden pulled out a barbed spear made from a liquid like wine and a mix of strands and blood. The weapon Raiden wielded was unfamiliar to Sky, yet almost as dangerous as his sabers.
In the split second Raiden summoned the weapon to defend herself from Sky, he warped over in front of her with the Gaze of Wrath activated, colliding with her weapons and causing her to freeze without retaliating.
The wine surrounded her out of her glass, multiplying in contents until it blocked the attack and sheltered her from the attempted murder.
"Oh, that can't look good for the rest of us! So, this guy is a 'to-kill' target at this point, right?" Netsu asked, turning to Acchi and Chikyu while they only watched Sky's attack.
"Can you even kill me?" Sky asked Netsu. His face was warped in anger after Sky's attempt to rile him up, pulling the scarf off of his neck and throwing it toward Sky. Sky used his ability to travel at insane speeds, mainly thanks to Avie's influence, and warped right behind Netsu.
"You're dead," Sky muttered, swinging at Netsu's back and opening up an old scar, shattering his metal armor, and throwing him forward to Khalil's position.
"Still an asshole I see..." Netsu muttered from a hundred feet forward, using Khalil's hand to prop himself up once more.
"An asshole? I don't believe that's how I see myself," Sky retaliated, smiling in pure insane rage as he summoned another saber coated in black, gold, and red.
He had lost himself since Illya died. In Sky's mind, all he could think about was the fact that another person he planned to protect died, and not only died but sacrificed her life for his instead of the other way around.
His sacrifices had been for nothing, and even if Illya gave him another chance at life, he didn't see it that way. Sky no longer wanted to die anymore, and would purposefully disrupt the world balance by killing all of the world leaders in cold blood so nobody could lead the masses. His plan was unfiltered and had no real end goal, other than satiating the anger he had in his bones.
