Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? My Cover Artist's Twitter is @Bombyixmori, follow if you like their work! ------------------------------------------------------------------- Warnings: 1. Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Ra Side Story (13/13)

---January 8th, 2447---

On January 8th, Sky, Dani, Carl, Red, Shike, Belle, Alexia, Faith, Charlotte, Novi, Mizu, and I all made it back home and gave our debriefing to everybody left behind. They asked us how our journey went, and Sky shyly replied with remarks that seemed to be personal to the group.

After that, he called upon all major leaders of different sections of jobs we had around the city. Manual labor, artists, diplomats, leaders, employees, teachers, and every group under the son sat in near Sky's balcony as he began to speak.

"It's no secret that we all have a rough relationship. You barely know me, and from the very little that you do know of me, I'm not exactly renowned in a good way...anyway, you're all here, so now it's time to talk. We're done with this city." Sky flatly said.

"What? What do you mean we're done with it? Like, we're all leaving?!" One of the people asked. I stood silent around Sky's friends, watching and waiting for somebody to speak up.

"Yeah, we're done. We're not developing Alicas anymore. We'll sustain it for as long as possible, but the people are going to need a safe haven other than this. we'll put all efforts into developing another city, because this will be the first place Eirikr heads for. He'll destroy everything, no matter how much we develop. We can start with new infrastructure and build it so it will prosper. Alicas is working with old infrastructure that was dug up by me, I've seen it myself." Sky mentioned.

With an excellent point made, most of the leaders of the groups stood silent. Ruby decided to speak up.

"So, how will we decide to send which people over? Who qualifies for that kind of thing, Mister Strategist?"

"Who's the best in their field? We don't have time to make this equal, we can do that after we have the new city. We'll have to go far...and I have just the place." Sky said. He unraveled a map of the world at the far end of the table. Upon sliding it out of the scroll it was hidden in, Sky immediately pointed at our previous location.

"The dead center of this place, with the Lakes. We have fresh water, and the ground here is ripped to shreds, perfect for new installations. If we move here, we will become prosperous. I have several people of my own who can make sure of that." Sky mentioned.

His choice arose several questions around the room, but his friends and I trusted his judgement. If Sky said something, it wasn't for no reason at all.

"Okay, but that's literally on the opposite side of the world. How will we remain in contact?"

"Letters, radio, by whatever means necessary. You'll be leaving behind friends, but you'll be able to come back whenever necessary. The main conflict that we have is that it's far, and there's nothing there right now. I'm going to put it straight with you guys. This city won't last much longer." Sky said. He pointed to our continent on the bottom of the map next.

"Here is where Ultima Tower used to be. That city is gone, integrated with ours. This is where Zealous was, destroyed by me. Now we have Alicas. It's safe to say that we're wiped out and need a new home. We'll make the integration smoothly after I defeat Eirikr." He said.

"Why not just kick you out so we can live here safely?"

"Because that would work as effectively as it did with Quake. Me on defense is better than me not being here. No offense to you hard workers, but you run the society, I run the Wars. I'm an Asterio, something other people seem to despise. Why would you not put me on the frontline anyway?"

"We wouldn't have this problem if you weren't here in the first place, technically," Another man added. It was annoying, seeing Sky receive this harassment after everything. Something about him was inspiring in how he dealt with it. We saw firsthand how powerful Sky was. It's almost a waste of energy to acknowledge his enemies.

"We'll pick up from here tomorrow and from here on out. You guys need to be on your best behavior, alright? There's a great reward if you build that city... dismissed." Sky clapped his hands and everybody quickly left the room.

Left behind was the main squad of his friends, all waiting for their next orders, including me.

"The next steps are going to be quite scary my friends...I'll have to put my life on the line to defeat Eirikr when the time comes."

"Can you do it?" Lia asked Sky. He smiled, lightly nodding his head.

"Of course I can. I'm the Chaos-Bringer."
