"Mobilizing her forces? What does that mean? Is something about to happen?" I curiously asked Hiyochi, but she still held onto her smile as she shook her head.
"Of course not. Well, not that I know of... I'm not too filled in with Ruby-nee's dealings, but I hear that ever since the name Sky Asterio was circulated back into Earth from Mister Zeal, Queen Ultima's forces have been mobilizing as if that was a trigger word for her entire city. On Zealous, we don't have to worry about things, especially since Zeal and Queen Ultima were friends, but now that Zeal is gone, it seems like there are finally things to worry about." Hiyochi said, guiding us out of the room.
"We shouldn't talk in a room like that, in case we have patients, I want all of the sanitizing I did in there to stay that way. Oh, and before I forget, the reason why it wasn't necessary for me to wear a face mask was that bacteria are immediately killed upon entering any Arkian's body. No Arkian can ever come down with something like the common cold, but humans are still susceptible. Keep that in mind for next time." Hiyochi said, walking backward and perfectly dodging small stands with wheels that had clipboards and papers with patients' names on them.
"Anyway, I'll admit, for a doctor like myself, I'm worried about the injuries my patients receive, as always, but I'm not worried about civilization as a whole being threatened," Hiyochi said.
"You shouldn't be. Our leader, Sky Asterio, would protect this place to his death if it was called for." Griff chipped in. I wanted to keep Sky out of the discussion, in case Hiyochi had any hatred for him, but she remained curious, tilting her head and looking back toward us.
Hiyochi stopped before entering a room with a bunch of chairs and specifically made eye contact with me.
"That man... Sky Asterio... is he really that dangerous?" Hiyochi asked us.
"To his enemies, yes. But, he really doesn't want to ruin what you guys have here. We're even working hard, we want to learn the things you can teach us so we can prove that his intentions are pure." Alexia spoke up before I could.
"I know all about dangerous people... hell, I'm usually pulling swords and knives out of them. I know what they're capable of, and I know to steer clear of them myself. But this Sky person, the man I was told to fear from my parents ever since I first gained consciousness, you're telling me he would protect me if my life was on the line?" Hiyochi's smile faded away as we spoke, and I stepped in front to dissuade anybody else from speaking up. This was my argument alone, and I had the perfect statement for her.
"I first met Sky... by killing one of his friends... I opened up the gate to his small, primitive base, and wolves ate his friend alive. Not even you could've performed a miracle on that friend... Domin... he was torn to shreds, and Sky looked at me and vowed to kill me, to rip my face off. However, I showed him that I was his ally, saving him in a fight with two men that were enslaved by the same person as me. I fought my Master with Sky, and we became friends, slowly. I was his enemy at first, but I showed my allegiance to him, and now we're allies. He's trustworthy and too powerful for me to comprehend." I told Hiyochi.
Her look was stern and didn't falter, and she stood silent.
"I'm not telling you this so you can go and vouch for us to Ruby. I'm telling you because I want you to set aside the fear and hatred you have for our leader. I don't care about Ruby, I care about you and how you perceive him. He really is a good guy." I finished, and Hiyochi nodded.
"Then, that's that. I'll trust you. You helped me during my surgery. A real betrayal would've been to use that green liquid on Brutus, and kill me while I was distracted with Brooke-nee. I guess you have proven yourselves, to me at least. I trust you, and I hope you trust me as well." Hiyochi said, divulging from her naturally chipper tone to talk about betrayal.
"We can be fighters as well. If you ever need help on the frontlines with Queen Ultima, I hope you'll call on us to help. We are quite useful anywhere you want us to be." Alexia commented.
"I doubt we'll need help, but I'll remember it! Now, we'll talk about a few sets of different injuries, and I'll keep you guys on standby for today in case there's another patient. You'll probably be cleaning a bit before we work on our next surgery... which I apologize for! I wanted you to work alongside me, but Sensei-nee told me to let you guys clean up a little before we do actual surgeon work. Can you bear it for a little?! Please?!" Hiyochi asked with her hands clasped in desperation.
"Of course! Anything you need from us, we can do!" Lily commented for all of us. We all nodded in agreement with her and Hiyochi was pleased, leading us to a girl with curly brown hair and a stern frown on her face.
"We had a patient who made a mess in a few rooms! That delinquent. Make sure you clean up after them! After those rooms are cleaned and sanitized, you may go home! Good work today, and get to it!" She yelled out. She seemed much meaner than Hiyochi, but either way, with spray bottles and wipes in our hands, we were ready with a new mission!
Sky can't be the only one to improve his reputation with this city. We will become useful citizens!
Right after we're done cleaning rooms...
