Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Epilogue/Author's Notes

-Out in the Far Reaches of Space-

--Unknown Perspective--

"We've been monitoring him closely... I think he's the one." Fico said. The room went quiet as the chair sat facing the window of the space station without moving.

"I don't entirely care if he is or isn't the one I've been looking for. Fico, what have you gathered from him?" He asked her. Fico silently scathed through tons of files within a folder with red writing littering the surface.

"Plenty, but I'll get to the part you want to hear the most," Fico told him. She pulled out one slip of paper and began to read it off.

"Subject has shown promise with the ability to house strands with a more than likely chance to become one of the most powerful wielders known to man. If you compare this data side by side with the past... we're getting the same readings. Almost down to the exact decimal." She revealed. The man in the chair nodded.

"Good, that was all I wanted to know. Thank you, Fico. You may take the day off, but as for you... Illya... well, I need more out of you." He said to me. He finally swiveled the chair around and our gazes met.

Pitch black hair, no expression, no light in his eyes, nothing coming from him but that paralyzing gaze from his golden eyes, he analyzed my stance.

"Why was Fico able to gather so much... yet you weren't, Illya?" He asked me.

Had I told them I've been storing the information in a database, against strict orders not to, I wouldn't be just sent out into space... he'd kill me over and over again.

"Because I'm worthless compared to you, Eirikr. (Ai-Rai-Ker)" I told him as I bowed my head, sucking in the injustice I constantly felt. But, as soon as I left that room, everything would change.

"Just leave. Come back when you have something good." He told me. Eirikr turned his chair back around and I slowly, yet confidently walked out of his throne room. I could see several members of Quake, an old organization I used to be a part of, conversing in the library right outside of his room.

"Yo, Illya. How'd it go?" The blue-haired man asked me. I shook my head.

"About how you'd expect. I have to get back to work." I told them, leaving the area as well.

As soon as the door shut and I was able to transport back to my space station with my own Secretary, I slammed the door shut and kicked the transporter down until it was nothing but metallic scraps. I threw the stone within it that enabled transportation deep into space.

"What's wrong, Ms. Illya?" My Secretary asked me. She walked down from the elevated platform with all of the computers on it and down to me by the door.

"I made a mistake... to Eirikr. One so bad, I'm resigning from my old position. Secretary, can you pull up the location of the White Stone of Wrath?" I asked, sitting down in the chair and sliding over to the computers with the wheels on the bottom.

"Sure, but what does this have to do with anything?" Secretary asked me. She pulled up his file and I enlarged it, tracing keywords with my fingers and she read them out loud.

"Strand Vessel... Deity Candidate... Corrupt Stone... White Stone Demon... what is all this stuff?" She asked, putting her hand against her chin while staring at the screen.

"Do you remember back when you and I first met, I told you about this man? The one commonly referred to as a Deity Candidate? Well... he's here. That's him." I explained. I pointed to one of the three Isles left in Earth's atmosphere.

"Wow! Deity Candidate's still spawned there?" She rolled close by me, amazed by the low chance that followed Sky's awakening.

"Well, remember, it's not spawning... it's reincarnating." I reiterated. I shrunk the screen and showed off the USB.

"And... what's that? And, might I add, this is all very worrying to me, Illya." She told me. I shook my head, waving my hand in relief.

"It'll be fine Secretary! This is the next step... we will arrive at the Isle on February Twelfth, as we discussed, and then we'll obtain the Candidate." I told her again. She nodded.

I got what I wanted. On a simple USB stick I could plug into the several computers I had on this space station, I was able to access a world built by Eirikr as a test... well, a trial.

The First Trial.

---End of Content---

Um, I'm not really sure where I should put this kind of material, considering Survival Evolved isn't popular enough for me to post it on Twitter or on a Discord Server or anything like that, so I figured I'd just put it here!

Fear not! This is not the epilogue of the entire series! Hopefully, you were able to tell, but this is 'just the beginning' as some writers would say. If you've read this far, let me just say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is my first time writing for any kind of audience so the experience is new to me. I have a similar dream to the writers or readers reading my material, and that's to get this as popular as possible. I won't be doing this at the end of every volume, but here, it just felt necessary.

Oh yeah, for the future!

Survival Evolved is in an interesting place. It's my job as the writer to deliver Volume Two in the best condition I can get it. Considering only a rough draft has been written... well... yeah. It's nowhere near done.

If you're binging this series, you can continue! But if you're not... then sorry. I've been working on it a lot lately and I just feel that it's 1. Not in a Webnovel format (Not that any of my stuff really ever was) and 2. Lacking the fighting elements.

The story proceeds nicely and the main plot of the Isle comes to its conclusion by the end, but the fighting feels... weak. Boring, and irritating to read. I want to deliver Survival Evolved in its best condition possible. So, let me stop beating around the bush.

Two weeks! That's all I'm asking for. Volume Two will have a completely different release schedule. I will work on reformatting the ***X's Perspective*** to make it more of a smoother experience and I hope I will hook you on the series past this point!

For those who have read this far, again, let me address you directly. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Whether you hated every second and wanted to finish it, or whether you enjoyed it and need more, I thank you for giving me your time.

Orion and his side of the war will be explained more. People from both sides will come to their brink, and Sky will return with more Corruption than before.

He will become the Arkian who surpassed them all.

Bye!
