Demon of Wrath

--Lia's Perspective--

I regained consciousness at the perfect time, to see Dani absolutely destroying Illya.

Her latent power was unleashed and she was... winning, I think.

Eo started to tremble while standing in front of us, looking toward the dome.

"I don't sense strands from Illya anymore... Dani's winning!" Eo shouted out.

We all rejoiced as victory seemed to be on the horizon... but the volume in Eo's voice was mistaken for excitement when that's not what it was... at all...

"No... to kill a Deity, you need to absorb their strands... but Dani isn't doing that... she's only causing Illya to build fatigue. She's not killing Illya, she's weakening her... if she doesn't absorb Illya's strands... her mission will fail... and she'll look for us next." Eo said.

Her widened eyes and trembling body started to make sense.

"Everybody who can't fight! Hide behind something! Do not let Dani see you! She's looking this way now..." Eo muttered.

Shike rose his hands up in conjunction with Belle and the others.

"Looks like it backfired, huh... somebody that powerful would always have a weakness, and it's that she's uncontrollable right now, isn't it?" Shike asked Eo.

"We have to kill Dani," Eo said out loud.

"What?! We can't do that!" I screamed out, but Eo shook her head again.

"It's her, or every single one of us. Dani will not stop until Illya is dead, Umbra said it herself. Unless Dani is killed, she will not stop trying to satiate her rage." Eo explained.

"Dammit..." Fudo muttered.

I turned to him and asked what was wrong when he pointed up into the sky to see a small, weird drone flying around.

"This is being broadcasted down to Earth. This exertion of power... Dani isn't our only problem." Fudo muttered.

Dani snapped her fingers and the dome around her vanished. She slowly trotted over to us with Sky's Blade in her hand and a purple saber in the other.

That used to be gold... right? We have a chance... right? She's obviously losing her stamina, as she can't use the golden saber anymore... we can do this!

Dani ran over to us and instantly appeared in front of me, getting ready to land a slash at me. I blocked it with my dagger, and it shattered my arm.

I couldn't feel anything in my right hand, and she used her weird gravity ability to throw me aside like I was nothing.

She moved everybody with a push from her gravitational abilities... except for Eo.

"She'll be attacking me now because I resemble Illya the most," Eo muttered.

The two went at it as Eo summoned her scythe and tripped Dani with the elongated handle.

We were caught in the crossfire as Dani manipulated the gravitational field around us and flipped everybody upside down.

Shit! We were falling upwards! Into the sky!

Dani reversed gravity and we all slammed into the ground as she held a clash with Eo. She pushed Eo almost all the way to the ground, snapped her scythe in half, and cut Eo in half like it was nothing.

Before Eo could even react, Dani's hands were around her throat, and she threw Eo into the ground again, before pushing her foot into her skull and splattering her brains everywhere.

Dani was smiling as she kicked her head over and over again, pushing brain matter all across the field as she smiled. She started to break the floor and psychotically laughed at an annoying volume while Eo's body was twitching.

What the hell... what the hell?!

I was afraid... staring at this monster who stole Dani from us... this is terrible!

Dani slashed again and took out my right eye, taking me by surprise, and when her saber extended past me, it connected to Rin's bottom half and cut her in half...

Didn't that already happen to her?!

Rin fell to the ground and Ellios stood up to defend her, but his arms were cut off and he probably suffered brain damage from the kick by Dani.

She walked over to Ellios to finish the job when Ellie grabbed onto her arm with Noboki's help. Moon grabbed onto her ankles, and in one, swift move, their arms were separated from their bodies.

Dani didn't stop there, running at Carl next.

Carl was able to block a few attacks and punch Dani in the face, but she didn't react, grabbed him by the throat, and slammed him into the ground, to do the same thing that she did to Eo.

However, Lily didn't let her.

Lily grabbed Dani's foot and flipped her onto her back, pushing her into the ground.

Dani charged her other foot back and kicked Lily's head, which pushed her back and knocked her unconscious.

Charlie and Alex ran in to hold Dani to the ground, but they were pushed back by her ability before they could even close the distance. As those of us who weren't unconscious or fatally injured surrounded us, Dani looked all around and smiled.

"What do we do..." Carl muttered.

"Don't be stupid, we stand against her, and we fight until we can't!" I shouted out.

Right as I shouted, she pushed us all back with her ability, and a loud, cracking noise came from Dani's position.

The smoke cleared away from the broken shards of glass, and all that stood between Dani and the rest of us...

Was Sky.

"Sorry... it took me so long to get here..." Sky mumbled.

I was astonished... he was here... and he was looking back, and smiling.

Did he remember us? Is that the Sky we know?

"Sky...? Is that you...?" Carl asked him.

"Yeah. It's me." He told us all.

We were all excited to see him... but we were still worried about Dani. After all... she was powerful enough to beat Illya... could Sky beat her?

"...as far as you can," Sky mumbled.

"What?" Carl asked him again.

"RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN!" He screamed out again.

We followed his instructions, and a dome spawned around him again, encasing Dani and him within the same battlefield.

"Is he... going to fight Dani?" Ellie mumbled.

We all grouped together and started to run as fast as possible away from him.

After all this time... Sky has finally returned!
