Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Dani VS Moon (2)

-1:26 P.M.-

"Your left arm is dead, you do realize me coming back to kill you would be it, right? There wouldn't be a fight if I lunge at you once more. You can't use your left arm, that's a dead weight you'll haul around and I'll take advantage of you using that." Moon told me.

I ignored her warning and charged in anyways, pushing as far as I could pass the slippery ice and blood-littered floor. My rapier was deflected off of her katana and she dropped her blade. I took her for an idiot, but she grabbed my left arm, twisted it, and pushed it into my body.

I screamed out in pure agony as the dull, yet horrendous pain of my arm scraped against my body. Moon planted her foot into the back of my left shoulder and kicked me to the ground as more blood poured out. Dammit! She was right! It was dead weight at this point!

I retreated back to her, kicking away her katana and standing up with my waning strength. I focused on her, but she disappeared into the black smoke... how did she move so fast?

"I didn't want to hurt you Dani... poor, poor Dani. I never wanted to beat a child like that, to break her dead arm, to subject her to such humiliation. Can you even turn back to Sky looking like that? You can't even tell where I am... you're so lost, it hurts to watch you turn around like that." I scanned all over the black smoke to try and trace her, but I couldn't find her no matter where I looked!

"What was your dead friend's name again...? I bet she or he wouldn't be too pleased with the way you look right now either. Don't you think about them often?" Moon asked me.

"SHUT THE HELL UP! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME!" I screamed out. I grabbed the shield off of my hip and threw it two feet in front of where I last heard her voice. Once the shield collided with her flesh, I heard the noise and it guided me to stab exactly where I heard the collision.

I sliced straight past her cheek, almost killing her with my accurate thrust. It cut up her cheek and threw more blood on the floor.

I was midair with my thrust and right as Moon dodged backward, I flipped my entire body around and swung the rapier one last time, cutting through something that felt like jelly on her head.

Once I neatly landed on the ground while holding my left arm, I could see the damage I dealt. The smoke was clearing out of the fountain's area, and it frightened me how much blood was everywhere.

Moon was holding her face with a look of pure hatred as her right eye remained stuck on my position. I cut out her left eye precisely with the tip of my rapier and scattered it on the floor. She pulled the remainder of the fleshy tissue out of her eye socket and nothing remained in her skull at this point.

"I really... didn't want to kill a child today. You've pushed me way too far to just let you go at this point, I'll end your life quickly, so you don't have to suffer like I will for the rest of my life." Moon told me.

"That won't be long anyway, don't worry about it," I told her. Again, we were at a stalemate. It was perfectly obvious to me at this point that nobody would be coming to help me. I would be here alone, dying to Moon, or barely triumphing over her. I don't want them to see me dead, I needed to stay alive... I need to become stronger, not just for Sky... for myself as well.

Moon and I collided our blades once more. The deadweight of my arm was wobbling around and making it hard to balance myself, but on the times I found that perfect balance between the swaying limb, I was able to reciprocate the same strength Moon was throwing at me.

It was a battle of attrition, and I wasn't bleeding, so Moon would end up dying, but she had to have been planning something... what was she thinking?

Just as we collided one more time, Moon reached for my chest plate. There! She was going for my stim-shot!

I kicked her back, took out the stim-shot, and held it up to tease her with it. "This... you were going for that? That's too bad... I can't believe this kid outsmarted you..." I injected myself with the last stim-shot, straight into my left shoulder. The pain was dull and then vanished completely.

Moon went in to attack once more, but simply dodging into her blind spot let me slam the rapier into her side and cut even more of her body as she retreated once more. The fight continuously went in my favor... up until her katana slid straight past my rapier and pierced my left shoulder.

This time, the blade went straight through my bone. I felt my vision narrow in pain and everything in my body screamed out in more pain than I've ever felt before.

The squishy noise of my arm hitting the floor in its own puddle of blood was traumatizing, to say the least. That puddle of red splashed up onto my face and the rest of my body, and it even twitched around as the last bit of muscles contracted.

I thought I was dead. As I watched that katana get closer and closer to my throat, I was okay with dying for a moment. I didn't think about anything but ending that pain I just felt. Nothing at all.

I remembered my time on the beach, being looked down upon by everybody because of the way I spoke. They told me I was stupid, I spoke in a ditzy tone, and I would never contribute anything to the group's wellbeing. I was made fun of for something I couldn't control. I was called weak, I was told my life didn't matter, I had to fight, I had to bleed, I had to kill, I had to suffer... and for what?
