Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Carl VS Twilight

Since my run in with Cynthia, I hadn't been able to show off any of my developing skill. It was a true fact that Sky and Dani were both significantly stronger and more capable than I was at my best. However, I have gained several things that could potentially level that field.

The gun I swung around my back to turn into an ax settled into my hands and I ran at Twilight once more with it cocked back behind my shoulder.

I slammed it into her side, but the needle blocked it completely, creating more purple sparks between the two pieces of metal.

As the ax was sliding, I turned my body around, shifting it into a gun, and shooting it in her direction to throw her off balance.

The shot whipped her in the face with the hot barrel of my gun as it launched past her needle with insane speed. She took the hit bravely, landing on the ground, and throwing her needle like a javelin.

I purposefully angled the gun toward the javelin, catching it in the extended barrel, and launching it back at her. Twilight grabbed the needle as it flew back and warped into black smoke as she moved forth.

I closed my eyes, letting air seep through my mouth before opening them and angling my gun at the edge of the Domain. I shot, letting my body fly through the air and ricocheting the bullet, which pierced Twilight's leg once more.

We both hit the ground as the same time and close-range combat ensued. I swung my ax upward, dismantling the needle into metal shrapnel as she directed it toward my chest.

The two bullets consistently ricocheting within the Domain sparked against each other, creating more and more heat and a force of wind that dismantled the shrapnel coming at me. The two shots intersected her chest, and my axe came up toward her face, swinging straight past her chest and cheekbone. She was barely able to tilt her head back. I had the upper-hand.

With the current momentum I had, I warped the appearance of the weapon once more, pulling it down and launching another bullet out of the opposite side of the ax. It was launched down after I cut her upward, and I solidified the hit against her face.

Her eyes was dragged out of her head as it split open, and Twilight jumped back, only to be scathed near the back of her head from the flying bullets.

"My turn..." She mumbled. She warped into darkness again and out of the darkest pits of the walls, she emerged with the needle pointed straight toward my eye.

I took the hit bluntly, succumbing to the lost vision as she returned the attack I made on her, and grabbed the needle with the bottom of the handle of the ax. I launched it to the side again, snapping it in half, and leaving a portion of it stuck in my face.

The one reason why the Arkians and me were so confident in attacking wasn't because we were invincible, but because Sky could heal all wounds. Taking hits and damage that would otherwise change my life is rendered meaningless, as I know it would come back.

I pulled the needle out of my eye and observed it with my last remaining eye as the bullets instantly came to a stop around the Domain. Everything stopped moving within the same second.

With two fingers raised to the wound on her head, Twilight smiled through the fist blocking her face. Her features were sharp and horrifying underneath the dark light of the Domain.

As soon as the words came out of her mouth, I felt a sharp wound in my head emerge and blood exploded out of the same place I struck her in. I was stunned, as the blood that shot out filled my only remaining eye.

This was different...

Twilight and I had the same injuries, and we watched each other stumble under the pressure of blood surrounding us.

The Rubeki passed us.

Everything was beginning to speed up for me, starting at my own heart rate. Then, the glances my eyes shot back and forth were fast. Then, my body.

I dodged three stabs from the needle, watching my loose clothing get stuck on the broken edge. Twilight was formidable.

"What's the matter, son? You afraid of your injuries? No child of mine would ever be such a bitch!" She yelled.

"No...having the clarity that I don't have to preserve your life is doing wonders for me right now." I shot a smile, pulling out the gun once more.

I shot it sixteen times in rapid succession with soft shots, allowing the bullets to skip slowly across the Domain and the ground.

All sixteen simultaneously entered her body, and magnetized together, spilling blood out of every opening they created.

With a final shot aimed straight for her chest, I put in everything I had, dislocating my right shoulder, and cracking the Domain in half as a hole the size of Twilight's head appeared in her chest.

She sat motionless for a moment, reaching for the missing part of her body with her bloodied hand.

"Wow, talk about a shot." She said. She still had her thrill...she would be fine.

I purposefully broke the Domain that we were stuck in because of the name of her ability. I had thoughts about how her ability affected me in the same capacity as her within the Domain, and made a prediction about the rules of her ability.

"Are we done with this? Do you mind if we get back to what I was doing now?" I asked her. Twilight looked up from her wound and smiled kindly.

"Are we done...? No...not just yet." Twilight held up her left hand once more, aligning her two fingers with her wound.
