Providence and her entire mood changed now. The eye patch fell off of her head after taking the hit from Ali's knee and her face turned sour, with the same markings that Ali had now.
Providence, probably breaking the sound barrier at this point, slammed her fist into Ali's chest, but she absorbed it without a problem. Lucas went to strike Providence in the face, but she blocked it with her offhand and then twisted her body in a fast motion that dispersed Ali and Lucas from her position.
In the same blur of clothing and wild coloring, Providence engaged in a fight with Lucas, swinging widely, attaching what looked like strands to the handles of her sabers in the middle of the fight, and swinging them widely as Ali did.
Ali closed the distance, wrapped the strand around her arm, and pulled Providence in with her ability to manipulate gravity. Providence was forced closer to Ali but smiled as she got right under Ali's chin.
In the matter of a second, Providence threw upper-cutting punches into Ali's chest and then headbutted her. After Ali was parallel with the ground from the force of the headbutt, Providence flipped up in the air and attempted to slam the heel of her boot into Ali's face.
Ali disrupted her movement with her ability, repulsing her entire body in the opposite direction.
Lucas came in, cut her leg in half going horizontally, and caught Ali in his arms while sliding backward on the ground. In all of my amazement during the fight... that was the coolest-looking thing I had seen yet.
Providence didn't waste any time and struck with a stab into Lucas's body.
Lucas deflected the saber from his internal organs and cut off Providence's hand. She flipped over Lucas, summoned her hand back with strands, and swiped down toward his left arm.
The metallic arm had completely fallen off now and after Providence cut it off, she cut his knee and kicked him in the head.
With the momentum Providence had from fighting Lucas, she ran to Ali, swinging her saber back and forth, and rising to the ground to disrupt her movements. In one lucky movement, Providence raised the ground, hit Ali in the wrist, kicked her in the side of the head, and caught her before she hit the ground.
Providence body-slammed Ali into the ground so hard that she bounced and coughed up blood from the impact. Of course, the ground was cracked beyond belief at the point of impact, but the scariest thing was seeing bones sticking out of Providence's arms.
Even in an uncertain moment such as that, Ali found a way to change the course of the fight and damaged Providence accordingly. Since she could heal at will, I didn't know how this fight would end. Lucas, Ali, and Providence could all heal at insane rates... but does that mean this would be an eternal fight? No... there had to be a winner, eventually.
"Ready to give up yet... Team Asterio?" Providence panted as Ali and Lucas got up, pushing the dirt off their shoulders, and looking back at her.
"My lungs and heart are still working... so long as that happens, I won't call it quits," Lucas told Providence.
"I made you a promise, didn't I?" Ali asked her after Lucas.
Providence started the next engagement by throwing her saber at Ali. She deflected it, but Providence connected a strand to it and pulled it back toward her, cutting Ali's right eye out of her head. The mess of bone and flesh coming out from her head stunned her, and with an intense flip that gained a lot of speed, Providence landed a devastating hit on the side of Ali's head.
It hit Ali so hard that the marking on her face flickered like a light and completely turned off.
Lucas, on the other hand, had his eyes closed. What was he doing?!
When he opened his eyes, I could see golden strands vividly moving and ones that stunned Providence completely.
Providence hung her body over and vomited on the ground, and the hit that came from Lucas's foot and saber swinging up and down respectively cut Providence in half vertically.
She bounced off the ground viciously and Lucas ran over to Ali.
"ALI! Hey, get up! I can't do this without you!" Lucas yelled at Ali.
No way... did Providence kill her? No... there's no way...
The same look Ali shared on her face was now flickering on Providence as she laughed with her head kicked back, deep from her stomach.
"That's what you get when you don't submit to your God. You offer your life and you lose it. It was inevitable... I am Providence, after all. There is no escaping me. After I've found you, you are as good as dead." Providence explained.
Ali really wasn't getting up... I still couldn't believe Providence killed her... Miss Ali... get up!
"You think Ali is dead?" I have a harsh truth to share with you... she's not dead... she's not even close." Lucas started to smile.
"Don't be ridiculous. Nobody could survive a hit to the head that wasn't reinforced. She's far from dead, and if not literally, then she's braindead. She's as good as gone, and after you die, I'll go and finish the job. So, Lucas, you want to go, one last time?"
"Do I want to go one last time? Please, Providence, you are in no position to ask me that question. Are you even able to make it that far?" Lucas asked her.
"Huh? Why wouldn't I be? The only thing that hurt about me is my clothing. I'm not anywhere near death, not like you and your wife are. I can bury you guys together if you'd like." Providence told Lucas.
Suddenly, Ali slammed her hands into the ground and stood upright on both of her feet, looking at Providence as her eye regenerated.
"What the fuck?! How are you alive...?" Providence asked Ali.
