Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

A Visit From The World

As the party for the New Year went on, Sky and the other Arkians were dancing at Troy and Yonoa's discretion. Most of the people the Arkians had known joined the party, and ended up bringing their own traditions to the Arkians, who had no traditions at all.

While Troy and Yonoa taught Carl, Lia, Lily, and the others how to dance, Sky and Dani were out on the terrace of the capitol building, peering off into the night to witness fireworks that Mandi helped create for the occasion. They were quiet, leaning against each other on while on the railing. While lost in the mood of the night, Khalil Leyndell, the leader of the American Continents, waved up to him.

"Long time no see my friend! I love what you've done with the place!" Khalil shouted out. Sky welcomed him, allowing Khalil to jump up beside Sky and Dani while the two shook his hand.

"Couldn't have done it without your guidance. So, what's new? Is something the matter, or are you just visiting?" Sky asked. He caught on to how Khalil analyzed his body, wondering if Sky was still the same scrawny kid that he meant nine months ago.

"Huh... well, I was just here to visit and find somebody new to celebrate the New Year with. I do have some news, however. I'm not sure if you are well-informed on the systems of transportation here, but we're having a yearly meeting now, all of us World Leaders. This year it's taking place in my land, The Americas, and I'd like to invite Ruby, you, and six of your friends, whoever you feel like taking is completely up to you of course," Khalil offered to Sky.

"It's an honor to be invited. I'm not sure how transportation down here works yet, but I'm sure Ruby does. We'll be there, absolutely," Sky said to Khalil. The two bumped fists as they decided the plan.

"There's been some updates since we last met, do you have a moment, or would you like to continue with your party?" Khalil asked Sky. Sky watched as he crossed his arms and peered in from the terrace to the windows that led inside. Everybody, even Shiro, was up and moving now to some sort of dance.

"Doesn't really matter, but we can wait if it's easier to focus," Sky said. The three were on the terrace, and Dani finally spoke up from the window.

"I meant to ask you, Khalil, how does that Bladeless Katana work? I've had questions about it ever since I first saw it all that time ago!" Dani confessed to him. He rubbed the back of his head, holding out his right hand while doing so, and sprouting up a visible formation of air being curved and manipulated.

"Leyndells all have an Aura. Just like Asterios had their Pure Strands, we have an Aura that allows us to bend objects and even the world to our will. I was able to channel it into a fine point on that Katana, so it was a process, most certainly, but it should be possible for Asterios as well. Tell me, Dani Asterio, how did you possess the power to turn into the Goddess of Wrath with no lineage behind you?" Khalil asked her.

"Hehe uh... I'm not entirely sure! It just sort of happened during the fight, and it helped us win after everything was said and done! I don't think I could do it willingly, that's for sure," Dani confessed. Khalil shook his head, looking to Sky next.

"You could absolutely do it if you wanted to, you just have to try a little, right? No harm in failing if you want to succeed. All things set aside, we both seem to have our talents, so don't drown in mine just because you don't have them," Khalil told her.

"Wow, that's really good life advice... thank you!" Dani humbly said. She was a great conversationalist, but Khalil excelled in that more than anybody he knew.

"Not a problem kiddo. I see you're having a party for the New Year, why are you two out here? Having a moment? Did I interrupt?" Khalil reiterated again. He poked his head through the door, grabbing an alcoholic beverage to enjoy while he listened to Sky and Dani talk about what they were doing.

"Just taking a moment to remember everybody and everything, sort of. After the end of this year, a lot has happened, and we just want to remember those who we have lost one last time before they're lost to history," Dani confessed.

"We had some people we got along with, and those we didn't, but the important thing is that we carry them with us now. We were naming stars in the sky after those people," Sky added on, pointing toward one in the sky with three dots. "Orion," He mumbled.

"What a coincidence, because that is exactly what that constellation is. That is Orion. It's impressive you know these things, I have to be honest," Khalil said. He took a large swig, taking a deep breath right after.

"You know, I have a telescope in The Americas I used to watch the surface of different planets. Nothing happens, but it's still interesting to see how tiny we truly are. Would you care to join me, one day?" Khalil offered to the two.

"That would be great. I was already thinking of the people I would bring with me to The Americas, Dani being one of them. We'd love to vacation during our time visiting, and we'd love to look through that telescope. Is there anything we can do for you other than just show up? Want us to bring anything?" Sky asked him next. This time, he reached inside by cracking the door and grabbing a cold glass of water.

"Just you and your friends. It's going to be a hefty meeting, so make sure you're ready to jot down some notes or remember a ton of facts," Khalil told the two. After he teased the importance of the meeting, he jumped off of the terrace, waving farewell to Sky and the others, while simultaneously entering the party from downstairs to bond with the other Arkians.

While Sky was watching his pathing, Dani stole his water and drank all of it, avoiding all responsibility as he asked her where it went.
