( 5 Days later)

I accepted the truth and attempted to pull myself together as there is no one now to do it for me. Jacob was there for me for this whole time but after cremation process , I noticed a slight change in Jacob . He tried to avoid me but his attitude towards me was same as before. He was just not there for me after every 2 hours to keep a check. Perhaps I was the one who was feeling this way due to the fact I am lonely now as nobody in this world is left on whom I can rely.

Two days have surpassed however Jacob didn't come to see me. Should I give him a call? Or should I wait. I hope he's fine.

*door knock*

"Coming!! Wait a second."

*opens door*

"Good morning ma'am. You have a parcel. Please sign here.."

There was a postman standing in front of me holding flowers and a letter. I was sure it wasn't for me.

"I suppose you're at the wrong address . I am sure this ain't mine.

"328 West Rock Maple Lane ,Woodstock, GA 30188. Is this your address?"

He asked inquisitively.

"Yes." " but.."

"Are you miss Lisa David?"

He interrupted me .

"yes, I am"

Then I am sure its for you.

He handed over me parcel and I signed the papers

"Have a good day ma'am"

Who sent me these? I have never received any flowers before.

*opens letter*

"Hey Lisa , I hope you are better. I am sorry I didn't come to see you because I had a lot going on my mind due to which it totally skipped my mind that I had to see you. Actually the matter is, my mother doesn't think I am ready yet to get married. She thinks I need few more years to become the right person for you who can provide you with the lifestyle you deserve and that's why i am going to the states tomorrow. Ill be gone by the time you receive this letter. I am really sorry I can't marry you now just few more years and ill be back to you. You know I love you and I can't live without you. Just hang in there and wait for me. Meanwhile you can do anything you want to keep yourself busy. You also don't have to worry financially as David's insurance is enough for you to rely on for few years

"WHAT? Wow. I guess I was fool enough to start believing him that he will be there for me. I should have known before."

*tears the letter*

Lisa you don't need to cry. You always knew everyone leaves and in the end ,it's always you.

*wipes her tears while throwing letter pieces into dustbin*

I need to start a new life. Also I can not stay in this house anymore as Dad's memories will haunt me. I have to leave this house, No, I need to leave this country. Nothing's left here for me anymore.

(Writer's POV)

*returns from David's cremation*

"Freshen up yourself and then come to my room. We need to talk!"

Camila stated to Jacob while throwing her luxury Prada bag on couch.

"Bring me juice in my room Sara"

She ordered the maid and walked away towards her room.

*door knock*

"Come inside"

While scrolling her cellphone she uttered words.

"Mom ,you needed to talk. Hurry up I have a surgery in an hour"

Jacob asked her mom while looking at his wrist watch.

"Break off your engagement with Lisa!!"

Camila replied him in her usual confident tone while still scrolling her phone.

"WHAT?WHY? you know I love her ,why are you saying this?

Jacob asked her and surprise in his voice was very clear as it all was bolt of the blue for him.

" David was the reason I agreed to make her my daughter in law as he was your father's friend. As David is no more, there is no relation between us and her anymore. Also I don't want an orphan to be my future daughter-in-law."

" Orphan?"

His voice raised and he asked his mother surprisingly .

"I am also an orphan I assume you furthermore may don't need me as your son then"

Camila put her phone aside and looked at his son's face who never talked to her in this tone before.

" Sarah bring a glass of water for Jacob, put some ice cubes in it as well"

Camila ordered her maid who was standing in the corner witnessing what never happened before.

"Yes ma'am. She left as soon as camila ordered her"

"First of all , never talk to me in this tone again. Lower your voice and calm down."

"Mother , I can not leave her like this . I love her and I promised david I would never leave her"

He nearly begged her mother.

" I have your ticket for states tomorrow. You"ll be working in your father's hospital for few years. By the time you will return, this Lisa's case will be closed. Ill manage everything. Go and pack your stuff you need to take along. Don't forget I am still the owner of entirety and you only get to live this luxurious life if you obey me"

" But mother…"

"You can leave now"

*back to scrolling*

( 2 months later)

"Here is your account number and it has your father's insurance money"

A man nearly 40 was sitting on couch next to Lisa

"Here is your ticket to States and here is some money. Please take this cash as your father was so close to me and you already denied me to financially assist you."

He handed over her a white envelope and she accepted it with a smile on her face.

"I guess I can't say no to you again"

She get to smile after many months.

"Ill be here tomorrow at sharp 9 am to drop you at airport. Be ready by then. I need to go now as I have an important meeting in an hour"

Sure uncle. Drive safely.

Next day

(9 AM)

She was waiting impatiently when uncle arrived.

" Are you ready Lisa? Hand me over your bag , ill put it in car. Ill be waiting in the car."

She looked at the house where she spent her childhood. Never thought she had to leave this house and memories one day all behind and move to another country.

"well , I think it's a good by then. Ill miss you my doors, my walls , my floor , ill miss you all"

She looked at them respectively ,closed the door behind her and walked towards the car.

( 12 PM)

Finally the time came to board the plane. She said her final goodbye to her uncle and boarded the plane.

( Lisa's POV)

I couldn't find my seat when airhostess came to me.

"let me help you ma'am"

She asked me with a smiley face.

I started to follow her and finally found me seat.

"Here you go ma'am. Call me if you need anything"

She walked away.

"Hey, can you switch your seat with mine. I had never been on a plane before, and I always desired to sit in window seat , now that I have a chance can you plea…"

The person who was looking outside the window turned his face to me and left me speechless.

His eyes, I have never seen eyes like this before. His eyes were as deep and expressive, where you could get lost if you stared long enough. His ash brown hair suited his tan skin so well. He had the kind of face that stopped you in your tracks. I guess he must get used to that, the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they looked at him. He was in black suit and looked like a annoying rich brat yet I couldn't take my eyes off him....
