They slid down from the top of the cliff into the deep chasm where the stone was sticking out from.

It emanated such intense glow that Martin thought he would be blinded if he dared to stare straight at it.

"Mind where you step, kid." Tehran grumbled but he didn't take his own advice. 

He moved carelessly because he already knew there was nothing that could harm him at such a time. 

Martin had no words, he just needed Tehran to get the stone so he could get out of here.

The idea that there would be traps everywhere wasn't ignored. Mages were cruel humans who thought of only themselves, and they were willing to do anything for their selfishness.
