That night, the cries of a mother in labor could be heard throughout the palace, where life was all about power and who would stand above all, where nothing less than perfection would be accepted.
A woman, who was not a part of the royal family, was about to give birth to the child of crown prince, he who was powerful and next in line for the throne within their name.
After struggle upon struggle, the mother was finally able to give birth, a healthy and strong baby cry, echoed through the wall of the palace, grasping everyone's attention.
The lightning within the storm that was brewing outside, flashed brightly outside of the room, the child was delivered in, almost striking the palace, causing the servants to gasp in surprise.
The mother cradled the child who was a healthy baby girl in her arms and a smile appeared on her face as the baby girl opened her eyes, which were bright and piercing purple with a gold lining and her mother left staring at her as the crown prince entered the room and looked down at the child with his eyes narrowed.
He looked at his heir and his cold gaze met the baby girl, who stared directly into his eyes, his eyes narrowed as he stared at her and her eyes shimmered with a piercing gaze, making it seem as though she could see through his very soul which made him feel slightly uneasy as he took her in his arms.
"Her name is Violet," Her mother said in a low and soft tone and her father, whose name was Wyon Stymir, looked at her, deciding whether or not she was to be given his title or not.
The guards, the servants and everyone who was present there that night, all waited with anticipation to see whether or not the crown prince would give the child his surname and accept her or not.
"Violet Stymir, welcome..." He said in a stern tone, his voice echoing as he acknowledged the child, giving her his title and she turned her head to him with her eyes narrowed as though she understood, everything that was happening around her.
Her eyes glowed for a split second before returning to normal and the lightning flashed, reflecting two dragon markings that appeared and disappeared in her eyes.
Within the midst of that storm, one which was recorded as one of the worst in years, the future was born within the crown prince's arm, a future undecided, a fate twisted in many directions and on that very night, the cycle corrupted, for a child who was not supposed to be was born.
"Master... The girl... She has been reborn, the cycle is completed..." A voice echoed through an empty space and the dragon growled.
"Now... The path to bring about a new destiny, one which cannot be decided by the simple cycles of life, a new destiny shall be forged by her very hands," He said as his eyes glowed brightly and the baby's first laugh echoed throughout the room, causing those around her to smile.
At the same time, a magic portal opened up beside the castle and an unknown entity emerged from it with dark violet eyes and sharp claws as well as two horns with their eyes fixed in the direction of the newborn baby and a smirk on their face.
Despite being happily born into the royal family, the little girl's happiness didn't last long because her mother passed shortly after she was given her father's name, causing the crown prince to feel a mixture of emotions.
Growing up, the crown prince married a royal and due to her not being a child of that marriage, she was tagged with the title of the illegitimate child, due to which she was looked down upon by other royals and hardly received any sorts of love from her father.
Violet got used to her surroundings quickly as she grew up, not asking for much or expecting anything from anyone, causing her to care little about the so-called family she was a part of and sometimes her existence was hardly even recognized, compared to her step-siblings, who looked mocked her for not being able to live up to their family name.
As she was growing her abilities began to surface, but once again her small happiness was short-lived and to others it was nothing great, since she lacked magical prowess and couldn't do what most of the kids her age could do back then, she was called weak and good for nothing.
Violet distanced herself from many around her, for she thought and knew that most people among the royals were no different than parasites, a pretty smile on the outside and rotten on the inside.
Violet grew up to be brave and never took nonsense from anyone anymore and knew well how to stand up for herself, no matter how much she was shunned and even if it meant she would be punished later on, she still stood he ground.
Parts of her began changing gradually and it did not go unnoticed by those around her, she had gotten friends who had genuinely cared for her and despite the turmoil she lived in, she was still able to smile genuinely and be happy, which only irked those around her for many disliked and were jealous of her, though none would say that out loud.
Little did they know, the changes they were seeing were about to be the beginning of something new, one which would change the dynamics of everything around them, just like the dragon had predicted.
On the day of her eighteen birthday, which marked the time of her coming of age, that which the dragon had warned her of before, but she had no idea about it and hardly anyone knew of her birthday since she was no different from a shadow within the palace.
It was also where everything would change, for her and those around her, events that would change the courses of history to be made, were now upon them, for that was the day in which the leaders of the kingdoms announced the beginning of the selection for the legendary throne, which only the one who will rise above all could sit and become the supreme leader.
