A small run

Violet smiled a little and others were stunned at his display and Kei chuckled beside Violet, finding the situation a bit amusing. 

Luca glanced back at Violet and her eyes narrowed as their gaze met, clearly a competitive side was awakened in both of them at the time, to see who would reach the top before all others, after all part of the event was no different than a game, all trying to push their limits to see who would reach the highest level before another, whether it would be one of them or another person among the participants to make it to the top, only time could tell. 

Luca turned around, his eyes aiming directly at hers and her eyes shimmered into a piercing red hue and a smirk appeared on her face, knowing the challenge between the two would change a lot of things in their dynamic as well as their family. 

Kei chuckled knowing fights between the two in the future would be a lot more now than they ever were in the past and that gave him a small sense of dread since he was always the mediator, tasked with keeping the two from killing each other. 

Luca came back to where they were and she glanced at him as did Xania and he chuckled, knowing he was in fir one hell of a ride with the two constantly at each other's throat, though by now it was something that he was getting used to. 

Just then they heard an explosion nearby and everyone's attention was piqued and they exchanged glances as did the instructors and Lucas looked at the participants, knowing that many of them could fight but if it was a monster and depends on how strong it was, many may not be able to fight it off as well. 

"You guys stay together and stay put and alert, you might as well consider this as experience at what you signed up for, the threats are real and it shows that nothing here that we do are a joke or to be taken lightly, if that's what you think and you do not eve have guts then you do not belong here, cowards do not belong here," Lucas said bluntly as they exchanged glances. 

 As he talked a large beast with one eye by the very center its forehead, white and black in colour and its skin formed a shield by its right arm appeared in front of them and roared, giving off an energy waved that caused parts of the ground to shake a bit, startling quite a few among them. 

Violet's eyes narrowed as her eyes met with the creature and it released an attack that causing part of the ground to quake a bit and shoot up spikes from the earth, shoving many of them back and knocking a few of the participants over. 

The instructors stepped forward, knowing the beast was dangerous and just as Lucas was about to attack it. Violet moved beside him and unleashed an attack alongside Luca that sent the creature crashing across the ground, leaving debris in its trail and Lucas looked at them. 

Violet smirked, enjoying her first real fight after gaining her abilities and Kei chuckled at her antics and he approached them. 

"You guys... Be careful," Lucas said and Violet glanced at him as well as a few other participants joined in as well... Wanting to test their skills on the creature. 

The beasts roared, causing the ground beneath their feet to tremble and parts of it shot up, making them had to dodge its attack in order to not get injured. 

Violet dodged its attack, slashing some part with her blade, but while doing so... She noticed that the beasts shield is what was causing the small quakes as well as protecting it from their attacks, due to which it was not being injured and they exchanged glances, knowing they had to come up with a plan to separate it from its shield, which was apparently formed from its very body. 

"This is not fun... " Kei mumbled as he became a diversion to the creature, while Violet and Lucas, the instructor attacked it at once, causing its shield to rip off of its arm and Luca attacked it with the same skills he used for the demonstration earlier, causing the creature to slam into the ground. 

The dust rose up in the air, causing them to cough a bit and the creature groaned in anger and pain as it stood up with its eyes glowing and they looked at each other, knowing they had to finish it off in one go or else it would cause more damage to the grounds of the academy, which they could not let happen at all. 

"We will all attack it at once, Violet you are a bit swifter on your feet... You use its blind spot, which is its sides, got it?" Lucas asked and she looked at him then nodded. 

"Hey listen here for a bit, if the creature's attack hits you, it will render your developing process which is as you know, still ongoing, avoid its final attack from hitting your core of your body, it will be from its eyes, that is its main source of attacks," Xania said to her and she looked at him. 

"Got it, I cannot afford for anything to be rendered right now, not in this event I can only push forward, so thanks," She replied and he chuckled then nodded as he moved off of her. 

The creature's eyes began glowing and it shot a beam through its eyes, one that could cut through anything, and they dodged it and Violet flicked over it as the others attacked from different sides while she stood in the being's blind spot. 

She took a deep breath and her eyes lowed bright red as she lifted her right hand, and a magic circle formed in front of her, releasing the same attacks she did earlier, mixed with the bit of flames she learned to control, attacking the creature from different sides within its weak spot and her final attack, clashed with the creature's beam, causing a small explosion within the area.
