Chapter 341: Shift and Wager

"Diana?!" Both Robert and Kara exclaimed in surprise when they saw the heroic female warrior appear. They had not expected Diana to show up, especially Robert, who was not only surprised but also felt a mix of embarrassment and shame, even feeling awkward about Diana taking on the formidable Frigga.

For Robert, once someone becomes an enemy, gender doesn't matter. As long as they possess sufficient strength, a woman can be just as formidable an opponent as a man.

However, now that Diana had appeared and challenged Frigga directly, Robert felt it inappropriate to compete with Diana for this opponent, especially since Diana seemed to have come specifically to stand up for him.

Unbeknownst to Robert, Diana hadn't initially come because of him. At first, she was merely alerted by the presence of Asgard's Bifrost Bridge on Earth, which she had not been overly concerned about until its persistence caught her attention.

Diana was curious why the Bifrost Bridge would remain so long on Earth, which was contrary to the unspoken agreement reached when the various divine realms withdrew from Earth.

Thus, Diana came to investigate and saw Robert, Kara, and, of course, Clark. She had heard much of Clark's conversation with Allfather Odin and hadn't expected Clark to be related to Robert or that Clark's strength would be formidable enough to contend with a god like Odin, a well-known figure among the god-kings.

Diana thought that with Clark and Odin's battle underway, things might settle at least until a victor emerged between Clark and Odin, implying that Robert wouldn't need to continue fighting against Asgard.

But Diana didn't anticipate Asgard's unreasonable approach, pressing aggressively. Despite not having received an explanation from Robert, Diana still chose to consider things from Robert's perspective.

Diana wasn't sure about Robert's current strength, but knowing Frigga's status as a goddess in Asgard, her power was not to be underestimated, and Diana couldn't simply watch Frigga attack Robert...

"Greek deity?" Frigga scrutinized Diana, her divine power swirling around her as she asked sternly, "Is Mount Olympus also interfering? This is a private matter between us and them!"

"Rest assured, this is personal for me too, unrelated to Mount Olympus..." Diana turned to glance at Robert, her shield of divine power also ready in her hand, as she burst forth in power facing Frigga, "Come on then, let's see the extent of Asgard's queen's strength!"

With a "hum," as Diana finished speaking, the air around them instantly changed, a storm began to envelop Diana, and even with her strength, she was blown away by the storm. Her divine shield struggled to perform effectively against this type of elemental attack.

With a "swoosh," Diana unleashed her Lasso of Truth in mid-air, which, unfazed by the storm, flew straight towards Frigga. Just as Diana thought she had ensnared Frigga, the lasso passed through her, with Frigga's figure slowly vanishing.

Loki had learned his magic from Frigga, and since Loki could use illusions, it stood to reason that Frigga could too, and her mastery of illusion magic was even greater than Loki's. Neither Diana, Robert, nor Kara had seen through Frigga's illusion.

"Zeus' power? So, you are Zeus' daughter, but merely a demigod!" Frigga suddenly appeared beside Diana, wielding a sharp blade slashing towards Diana.

With a "clang," Diana reacted quickly, her Sword of the God of Fire meeting Frigga's blade head-on, creating a screeching noise. However, Diana's sword did not gain any advantage against Frigga's blade, and Diana was sent flying back again, her arm numbing from the impact. Frigga's strength was even greater than Diana had anticipated.

Even though Frigga was a witch, she was still Asgard's queen, and her physical prowess was greater than that of ordinary Asgardians, as could be seen from Thor and Loki's combat capabilities. Asgardians, even the magicians among them, preferred close combat, similar to the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, though the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj did not possess such formidable physical strength.

"Diana!" Seeing Diana still at a disadvantage in the battle, Robert frowned, instinctively wanting to help. But just as Robert moved, another blade bathed in rainbow light engulfed him, and in the next instant, Robert disappeared.

"No need for the Sorcerer Supreme to watch over here; we've already moved the battlefield..." Heimdall nodded to the Ancient One, speaking softly.

"Um..." The Ancient One looked at Heimdall, about to speak but then stopping, unsure what to say. Seeing Heimdall's confident demeanor, she eventually said nothing, not intending to interfere. As long as Earth wasn

"Robert!" The Ancient One did not react much to Robert's disappearance, but Kara was not pleased. How could she rest easy with Robert just vanishing?

"Where did they go?" Kara asked the Ancient One worriedly after her failed attempt, "They won't be in trouble, will they?"

"Once the battle has started, who can guarantee there won't be trouble?" the Ancient One responded, shaking her head gently.

"Why are they so unreasonable? It was their own fault to begin with..." Kara said with some dissatisfaction.

"In the vast universe, where is there so much reason to speak of? It's still the strong who make the rules, and the weak who follow them..." The Ancient One smiled slightly, looking at the Kryptonian girl in front of her, who was strong yet somewhat naive.

"Actually, Asgard initially had no intention of conflict, especially Allfather Odin. His strength is indeed formidable, but he is old and surely doesn't want to make enemies for Asgard..."

"So, even though Mjolnir ended up in your hands, he had no intention of forcing you to surrender it, mainly because you showed no intention of claiming it as your own..."

"I haven't foreseen the future; the future of this world is chaotic and overly complex. I just wanted them to be cautious, especially since Lorna and Pietro are too closely related to them, and they could easily be swept into the storm..." Wanda slowly shook her head, speaking softly.

"For battles of this level of power, they have no right to be involved, but human-level events still have a significant impact on them. It's better to be cautious."

"Since they've stepped into the supernatural world, it's nearly impossible for them to be unaffected.
