True Colours

Haisha was on his way home. They had all left Ken's place. He walked for what felt like an eternity, through the dark streets of Tokyo. It was nearly 6 in the morning.

Haisha- Ah... No one will notice me here... I guess now I can explain everything about this world to you guys... You see... I'm not good at explaining stuff in my mind... And... I couldn't exactly talk to you guys like this... People would think that I was mad... Oh well... Anyways... As I said... This world is probably less scientifically developed than your world... Since people rely on abilities to do stuff... The opposite might also be true though... The torches you see on the buildings are made out of the fire of the Hada household... Old man Hada is a level 9 and spends most of his day, walking around the city, lighting the torches... But the roadside torches are all linked so they generally come back after some moments... It usually takes 12 minutes but it can come back faster... Okay... So... Let me explain the level stuff now... The leveling system depends on the amount of mana someone has... Level 1 people have no mana... Level 2 people have some mana... And... It goes up like that... Till level 10 which is also called level 0... There isn't an exact estimate of how many level 0s are there worldwide... Some say that there are 12, some say there are 53 and some say that there are 1000s... Abilities are powered by Mana... An all-powerful thingy which surrounds the world... It is magical and lets people use ability... Mana is generally perceived as an other-dimensional fluid... But... Some say it's a cluster of small powder-like substances which is so small that people can't see it even through telescopes... Though here most people don't know what a telesco--- Oh wait... Did I say telescope? I meant a microscope... Though most people here don't know what a microscope or a telescope is... We're really different from the world... Our borders are closed and only some people are allowed to go in or out... That's why people who use guns are called traitors as Americans aren't allow---

??- Did I hear someone talk about Borders?!

A guy in some sort of military uniform walks upto him.

??- Are you thinking about crossing borders and going out? Or are you someone who came in through the border?

Haisha- I-I think you're mistaken... I was thinking about how to do the borders in my project sheet... Since I can't draw---

??- WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! I HEARD YOU CLEARLY!! TALKING ABOUT BORDERS!!

Haisha- *in his mind*Ah shit--- This guy is drunk...

??- WHY DON'T YOU---

The soldier is shot by someone.

???- Ah... I can't let someone else take you out before me... H...

Haisha- W-What might you mean?

???- You don't have to play dumb with me... I already know all about you...

Haisha- But you don't know about your surroundings much...

???- What do you mean?

Haisha- This area is full of vigilantes... You seem to be an Abyss member since you use a gun... You're on enemy turf...

???- Bullshit!! You're the common enemy of both sides...

Haisha- But would they believe you?

Haisha screams at the top of his lungs. "Help" he screams. And falls down to his knees. He holds out his bag towards the guy as if he was trying to defend himself.

????- I thought I heard a gunshot here... Seems like another Abyss member torturing people...

Haisha- Wait... Aren't you tornado's brother?

????- Uhm... I don't know what you mean... I'm Aeroblade...

???- Hah!! A kid!! You screamed for help and all you got was a kid!! It's funny!!

Aeroblade jumps up in the air and makes blades of air and throws them at the Abyss member. The Abyss member dodges one but the other one hits him in his leg and cuts it in half. Aeroblade goes up to that guy and prepares another blade and holds it over his neck like a guillotine.

Aeroblade- In the name of the God who created us. May this lost soul find a better way to reach his desires in his next life---

???- WAIT!! THAT GUY YOU'RE TRYING TO PROTECT IS H!!

Aeroblade- Huh? What do you mean?

Haisha- He is tricking you!! H-He is trying to trick you to make you think about it and let your guard down!! Just kill him!!

Aeroblade- Or maybe he is drunk... Who knows? I smell alcohol here anyways...

???- DON'T BELIEVE HIM!! HE IS LYING!!

Aeroblade- And why would I believe you?

???- I HAVE PROOF!!

Aeroblade- Oh... Really? Show me!!

That Abyss member tries to take something out of his pocket but Haisha shoots him.

Haisha- Ah... You should've killed him when I told you to... You were worthy to live in this world... But now you'll have to die too...

Aeroblade- WHAT THE FUCK--- WHY DID YOU KILL HIM?!

Haisha- These words don't suit the mouth of a kid like you... So say it more... So I don't feel bad killing you...

Aeroblade- ARE YOU FUCKING OUT OF YOUR MIND?! HE WAS TRYING TO SHOW ME--- WAIT--- ARE YOU ACTUALLY H?!

Haisha- Yeah... I am... I am H... And guess what you are... Dead...

Aeroblade- WHY WOULD YOU---

Haisha- Because you guys don't deserve to live... You should've just gone home when Ken told you to... You could've lived otherwise... I hoped you would change and leave this way of life... But... You came here... And... That just means that you're irredeemable...

Aeroblade tries to fly away but something holds him from under.

Haisha- That is Mana... What enables you guys to use abilities... I can manipulate mana at free will... And... It is really useful once you gather enough of it...

Sap comes out of the shadows.

Sap- My my... That's not something I have seen before... But... It seems like it isn't really that useful... Considering that you're having a problem breathing... Even though you haven't done much...

Haisha- What do you mean?

Aeroblade- HELP ME!!

Haisha shoots Aeroblade in the head.

Haisha- You wouldn't believe it!! He was a criminal all along!! He tried---

Sap- To kill you? Dude... Atleast try to come up with a better story... I've heard this story a lot of times...

Haisha- So... You saw everything?

Sap- Yeah I did...

Haisha- But I didn't sense yo--- Oh wait... You don't have mana...

Sap- Yeah... So I blended into the surroundings...

Haisha- I didn't want to kill two worthy people today...

Sap- Anyways... So... You're H... The one who kills every side...? You're probably the biggest criminal out there---

Haisha- What can I say? I'm doing a good thing... Killing the unworthy ones...

Sap- Oh yeah... You are...

Haisha- What?!

Sap- Yeah... You're doing a good thing...

Haisha- You... You don't think I'm doing a bad thing?

Sap- Nope... Why would I?

Haisha- You understand me?

Sap- Nope... Look at yourself... You're holding a fucking gun... Meanwhile, I'm unarmed... I don't have any way to protect myself or attack you... I'd die if you attacked... It's in my own good to agree with you...

Haisha starts laughing like a maniac.

Haisha- YOU'RE EVEN MORE TWISTED THAN THOSE GUYS!! YOU LEFT YOUR HUMANITY AND EMOTIONS JUST TO SAVE YOURSELF!!

Sap- Isn't that what you're doing as well?

Haisha- You think I am trying to save myself?

Sap- Yeah... Isn't that why you were happy to know that I supported your decision?

Haisha- You--- You actually believed that?! I WAS ACTING!!

Sap- I knew that you were acting... But... You were happy... To have found someone as twisted as yourself...

Haisha- What do you mean?*Takes a tracker out of Aeroblade's suit*

Sap- You put that on him when he fell on you back in the car, right? So you actually do target both sides... You probably have a sad backstory... Right? That's how it is for most---

Haisha- YOU THINK MY ACTIONS CAN BE JUSTIFIED BY SOME KIND OF TRAGIC BACKSTORY?! I AM TWISTED TO THE CORE!! MUST BE NICE BEING TWISTED FOR SOME KIND OF BACKSTORY!! BUT I WAS BORN TWISTED!! I DON'T HAVE A REASON TO DO IT!! I JUST DO IT BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT!!

Sap- Wow... Same... Same... Wanna join forces?

Haisha- What do you mean?

Sap- Well... You just killed this guy... Who was supposed to be Ken's disciple... And... You have to somehow explain his death... And... You have to explain my death too... If you kill me... But... I can create a false scenario here... So that you can walk out safely...
